"Original Joe's never lets me down. I absolutely adore this place. Is the wait long? Yes. Are there tourists swarming? Yes. But, both those mentions no longer bother me now that I've found the perfect watering hole across the street to have a few while waiting, Tony Nik's. North Beach is alive and it's exciting to see people out and about again. Original Joe's seems to always be a solid meeting hub and spot to dine with groups or gals. Original Joe's has also shared memories of wedding rehearsals, work dinners, and countless post-Giant game moments. Love the old school Italian vibes here, photos that adorn the walls, and dim lighting. Menu-wise ~ the warm sourdough bread and Original Joe's branded butter, house red wine, the chicken parm with side of pasta/signature marinara, cacio e pepe, and butter cake to finish it all off...perfection! The spaghetti and meatballs and Caesar are also solid. These dishes are not for those ready for a bikini shoot next day, rather shareable/family style. Although not going to lie, while pregnant, the chicken parm was not shared :)The tastes, textures, flavors, menu is so comforting and familiar. Not a spot easy on the wallet, but definitely one for the books. Staff just like famiglia."

"My kids have music class across the street and we often smell the delicious barbeque when we are done with our classes. I have visited this place before COVID, during COVID, and now after COVID. Our experience has been fairly consistent. Staffs are always friendly and they always keep the meat coming! My kids love their filet mignon! And their steaks are always my favorite. Anything with garlic is perfect for garlic lovers!! but recently I tried their chicken wings on one night...and honestly, how come they don't put their wings on takeout menu? They should since they have the prefect wings for the game day (especially if you are bored with the wings offerings from another chain wings specialty store...). The skin is crispy with all the seasoning and the meat is juicy. Their dessert menu is not the strong area - they are OK and I would only order them if you have a special celebration. I like their flan. The chocolate cake is just ok - feel premade but the ice-cream is really good. So usually I just stuff myself with their grilled pineapples (and in my Asian's mind, that's viewed as dessert. haha!) and let my stomach digest a little bit before having dessert elsewhere. Parking is relatively easy ever since COVID. And surprisingly, the restaurant is still decently full on the weeknights too! If you want to avoid crowd over the weekends, see if you could come on Thursday night :)"

"Honestly don't know why the rating is at a 3.5 because this place is so good I gatekeep it from everyone and its SO hard because its SO good to where I have to tell everyone about this place. The service is always so amazing and the workers are the BEST. Me and my boyfriend are basically regulars here HAHA. Our go to order is the Pesto Cheesy Bread (100/10) ask for a side of the hot honey they put on the corn bread i promise you, it is AMAZING. We also share the one pound burger they have which is super underrated. (10/10) The Cornbread is also very delicious.The ambience is amazing theres usually a DJ when we go haha, and it has a bar which is usually busy. Its the perfect little date night spot yet also a casual spot for lunch/brunch."

Parking can be difficult depending on timing of the evening. I think it was the Owner that constantly checked on us during dinner. He was very friendly. It was my birthday and they offered a complimentary tiramisu. My husband and I enjoyed the food. The only difference between this place and HOPR is the entertainment from servers mixing salad and etc.Overall I will definitely come back!"

"Awesome from start to finish! Delicious food and awesome wine in a beautiful setting. Great addition to the Los Gatos dining scene. The market fish was a Black Cod that was expertly prepared with crispy skin and a great vegetable medley. The Smashburger was juicy and tasty. I saw that another reviewer complained that they couldn't order it medium rare, but come on, it's a Smashburger, you don't cook those medium rare. This one was incredibly juicy, and the quality of the meat was top notch. For the wine we started with a couple glasses of the La Rinconada Vineyard Chardonnay, which was flavorful and well balanced, followed by a luscious bottle of the Gary's Vineyard Pinot Noir. The bottles are just a $20 uplift to enjoy with your dinner, and if you are in the wine club you get the membership pricing. Very reasonable. Lastly, the service was outstanding, rounding out a great evening. We look forward to our next visit!"

"Came here for NYE dinner with a friend. We both ordered the prime rib. I let the waitress know that I also wanted to order something to-go, but that I would tell her later in the evening. She insisted I tell her now and she'd take care of it, and so I did. We were quickly served bread, and our food followed shortly after. The bread comes with a side of butter and balsamic+oil. The prime rib and the accompanying side dishes were perfectly cooked. The prime rib paired with the au jus was *chef's kiss*. For dessert, I ordered the famous mud pie, while my friend ordered the crème brûlée. The mud pie was okay. I was disappointed there wasn't a thicker crust. It was essentially a large plate of ice cream with whipped cream and fudge. The creme brûlée was also okay. It was made with white chocolate and would've been more well-balanced if it came with more fruit.Now here is the kicker. We get the bill and notice the to-go order was not on it. I tell our waitress and she goes to get it fixed. Well, it turns out she completely forgot to place the order and by then, the kitchen had already closed down. This is why I initially said i would personally let her know about my to-go item later, but she insisted I tell her at the beginning. Aside from a simple apology, there was no other attempt at service recovery. That food was meant to be a NYE meal for someone who now had to ring in the new year on an empty stomach. Not to mention, by that hour, it was impossible for me to find an appropriate alternative elsewhere.The food is good, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. I will not be coming back a second time."

And we came for brunch last weekend because we had a gift certificate, and before that it was probably a few years between visits. But we really need to come more often. At our previous visit we had the Sixteen Mile Deviled Eggs to start and each egg had a different fun little protein topping. I loved the one with steak and the smoked salmon. Presentation was lovely.Today we ordered the Swedish pancake starter. There was a berry syrup drizzle which was not my kind of thing, too candy-like, but my husband liked it. The lingonberry butter was very nice.My husband got their Kobe Loco Moco both visits because it was so delicious. The Kobe patty was cooked perfectly. The gravy was amazing; I kept trying to figure out what made it so good--maybe a French onion kind of flavor? So deeply beefy with notes of caramelized onion. Last visit I got Sixteen Benedict, because filet mignon is always a good choice, which was good in theory. I thought the sauce was too thick but the flavor was good. The little bit of sprouts on top helped balance the richness but I would've enjoyed more sprouts or greens to balance. The side dish was tater tots and they were very crispy. Today I had Stable Steak & Eggs because I love steak. The 6 oz ribeye was perfectly char grilled. I could've used some seasoning. Eggs were good. Tater tots were consistently crispy and tasty. Both times, I took home most of my tots and my daughter immediately devoured them.My husband had to take home half of his loco moco each time because it was a huge quantity. And he actually ate the leftovers, which is a big deal because he usually forgets about his restaurant leftovers and doesn't eat them.To summarize, the star is definitely Kobe Loco Moco. Everything else is good, but I can't get that Loco Moco out of my head."

We recently celebrated my mom's 79th birthday with our group of 8 and it was perfect. Reservations are easy to make and modify on open table, which I had to multiple times that day due to changes in plans. Since my mom previously signed up for the birthday club, we used a voucher for a free entree (or take $25 off). Super easy and generous.My mom loved the halibut special and she's picky. The risotto with scallops and sausage is flavorful and rich. It's a must try. The eggplant parmigiana was good and not overly breaded. Cocktails were reasonably priced.I am a Fremont local and appreciate these well established spots. It's a cozy elevated restaurant (mood lighting and linen table cloths), but not stuffy. The bar area is somewhat casual. I have been here in then past for my own birthday dinner, mom's past birthdays, and a casual catch up with a girlfriend dinner. This may just be our go to for family birthdays!"

All of the meats were top notch quality, and when people say they constantly bring you meat until you tell them not to, they aren't kidding. Your plate will never be empty and you will never not be eating. The service here is unmatched, and the ambiance is right in the middle of casual and fancy, so you can come here for really any occasion. There is a side bar with plenty of other options, like salads, pastas, potatoes, & fish. My one regret is probably getting too many things at the side bar that filled me up, but I was still able to try all the meats I wanted to. Anyone in the area or visiting should for sure give them a try, you won't be disappointed!"

For the main meal, The menu features a wide range of dishes, from perfectly cooked salmon to dry-aged New York steak that's simply fantastic. I tried their seasonal pesto gnochi and it was amazing. If you're looking for a great appetizer to start your meal, the deviled eggs are a must-try. They're simply phenomenal, with a creamy texture and just the right amount of seasoning. The pickled habaneros can be a bit spicy for some, but the dish is still amazing even without them.Overall, I highly recommend Timber & Salt for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. I started with the Cheese Corn, a skillet of sweet corn topped with a generous amount of melted cheese. It was rich and slightly sweet, but a dash of salt and pepper balanced the flavors nicely.Next, I tried the Potato Croquette with Curry Sauce, served on a sizzling plate with croquettes, rice, and vegetables. The curry was wonderfully spiced and truly elevated the dish. Adding some of their signature sauces took it to the next level.We also ordered the Cucumber Salad, which was refreshing and came with a tangy plum sauce (instead of the usual fish sauce). Other vegetarian items on the menu included Tofu with Curry and Tofu Pepper Rice, both of which I plan to try next time.One thing worth noting is that their website isn't up-to-date, as it doesn't reflect the variety of vegetarian dishes available. "My family has been coming to Broadway Prime for over 20 years and it's our go-to prime rib house. My husband and I decided to dine here for Valentine's Day weekend and although we didn't have any reservations, they were able to seat us within 10 minutes. The food is always solid. The salad is fresh and delicious. I love their garlic mash potatoes and creamed spinach. My family usually get the baked potato with the works. We also always get the prime rib in the largest size, English style so it's already cut up for us. We also ask for a side of horseradish to accompany the meal. Everything is delicious and usually we need a to-go box for leftovers. Usually the service is on point, but because this weekend was super busy, it took a while to get some items and at times we had to ask for it twice. Still I would recommend dining here if you're craving for a hearty meal."

"On our way to dine at this restaurant for dinner, after I got off work, I remembered while we were heading south on Lawrence Expwy that I forgot to bring the $50 gift card that I'd won at a raffle at work, which was the only reason at the time that we'd go out of our way to come to this restaurant. But, since we'd made a reservation, they'd required a C.C. to hold the date/time and we were planning on dining at this restaurant that evening, we weren't about to change our minds at that point. We didn't go into Dry Creek Grill with high expectations, but we were both pleasantly surprised that it turned out the food that we'd ordered was very good! My boyfriend ordered the Braised Short Ribs and I ordered the Filet Stroganoff. The meat that was served to my bf was tender and not chewy/dry at all. The noodles for mine were al dente and although the filet pieces for the Stroganoff were not as tender as my bf's short ribs, the mushrooms, shallots and sauce all complimented each other well and portion-wise, it was worth the $ as you could easily get two servings from this, as the dish is a bit on the richer side. Besides the entrees, the only other thing we ate were their complimentary bread with butter - the bread seemed like a multi-grain, slightly warm and it was pretty good but the butter could've been softer.We requested to be seated in the area of the restaurant which is located immediately towards the left of the restaurant once you enter, as we didn't want to be close to the bar area, due to the noise and it ended up being very peaceful and quiet there. It likely helped too, that we had dined on the early side at 5pm on a Friday. The servers were nice. Lighting where we sat was on the dark side, but overall ambiance was classy.We plan to return in the future and use the gift card that was forgotten the first time around. Next time, we will order some of their apps and/or dessert and maybe try out their steaks. Although it initially seemed like a bummer to have not used the gift card during our first visit, we ultimately don't have any regrets of paying for our meals and we'd be happy to dine here again!"

"We came here for their Fri/Sat/Sun after 5pm prime rib $39. It was alright. It wasn't anything fancy. For +$3.50, you can get either a salad or soup of the day. Today was clam chowder. As for the sides, you can choose between creamed spinach or cooked vegetables, either a baked potato or garlic mash potatoes. I asked for gravy on the mash potatoes but gravy was not available. My prime rib came with a bone but my friend's didn't. Both were thick and didn't leave us hungry. As for the meat, it got tedious to eat toward the end as it was a lot food. My guess is around 16oz. The quality was OK. It is not herb crusted nor aged that long. They should have dry aged it a bit more for the enzymes to develop a more complex flavor. As for the dining experience, no wait on a Friday night, unlike HOPR or Westlake Joe's. Vallemar Station puts glass on top of table clothes with paper napkins, yes, that kind of vibe. The bartender lady must be at least 70 years old. The waitstaff is young and energetic. There's a huge TV at the bar and also the dining room. It reminded me of how Val's in Daly City used to be, but a notch lower. Free bread. Service was excellent."

C2- Grilled Pork, Grilled Shrimp, Fried Egg 9/10 Despite it not being groundbreaking food, they deliver on simple flavors really well. The pork and shrimp are so good and for a late night meal, I struggle to do better in the vicinity, so I am eating Aota high for this meal, bias is real. They may not be perfect (phone system was broken one time and doordash link was broken too), but the staff are kind and helpful. FYI- their English is a bit limited so please be patient. Inside decor is rather nice and new!"

Drinks were excellent and did not disappoint.Yellowfin tartare- 9/10 came with homemade potato chips and it paired so nicely, I recommend getting as an appetizer!Steak tartare- 9/10 came with like a smoked bread and was my favorite of the two tartare. Highly recommend to try it! Black label burger- 9/10 Had my eye on this burger for a while and boy was it good. It was flavorful, the cheese was perfect and it left me wanting more. I know it's just a burger but the presentation was on point! Beef wellington- 8/10 My bf ended up getting this dish and we have had hell's kitchen version so it was different but still very good! Overall, I have tried their seated reservation in the restaurant and honestly liked sitting at the bar for their flexibility and ability to order anything of the menu. It felt more relaxed and we had amazing service! I recommend coming in to eat at the bar/lounge to try it out!"

Definitely the best special occasion restaurant in the city. You'll immediately figure this out by the sheer number of birthdays that are being celebrated here on any given night. Excluding my own birthday, there were at least 3 others when we were most recently there for dinner.So why is this such a great choice. For the TLDR version, amazing atmosphere, service, drinks and food...not much else you can ask for right?To expand on all of the above:ATMOSPHERE - Tasteful without being over the top.SERVICE - Every single person that we've interacted with have been fantastic. As far as waiters, Enrique is truly amazing. He helped guide us from beginning to end and curated a meal that was simply delicious every step of the way.DRINKS - Totally on point. Amari Old Fashioned is a great whisky option. For mocktails, I highly recommend the Veni Vidi Vici (nice creamsicle flair).FOOD - As the name of the restaurant already implies, you really come for the steak here. If you want to enjoy a completely pure steak flavor like no other, the Kawami Duo (4 oz of delmonico & 4 oz of spinalis) is a must try. Not a huge portion, but oh so tasty. For more of a traditional, larger-sized portion, you can't go wrong with the 18 oz wood-fired Ribeye. With its truffle port reduction sauce, this is such a great steak. If you really want to splurge, go for the Japanese A5 Wagyu that they have.As far as sides & small bites go, the spicy meatball, deviled egg and especially the marinated beets are all awesome. And getting the Prosciutto Di San Danielle carved tableside is a really cool experience.And if you're a dessert person, you absolutely must leave room for the Chocolate Budino. The fusion of chocolate cake and banana confit/gelato is perfect.To wrap this all up, Be.Steak.A is not cheap...but you definitely get what you pay for and a truly memorable experience is delivered from start to finish!"

I was trying to be meat centric, so I just stuck to the tableside service. I did grab some fruit at the end tho.I've always been a fan of picanha. That crusty fatty juicy meat. So good! The version here did not disappoint. I did try the majority of all the red meats - sirloin, ribeye, filet, ribs, lamb, etc. Most of the beef was great as I could find a rare-ish piece. But the lamb was all overcooked. Especially the lamb chops. So well done! They did give us some sauces for everything which helped. I enjoyed the chimichurri.If you don't want to deal with crowds, I do suggest coming in between lunch and dinner. It was very chill. We spent a good 2.5 hours here, so went into the beginning of dinner service. It was starting to get more packed as we left.Service was great. We never had to wait too long for more food. "Wonderful food and service! We sat outside , although it was a cloudy day. Their heat lamps were very hot. So much so, we had to ask to turn them down.The focaccia bread served at the beginning of our meal was soft and fresh!We are big fans of squid ink pasta and their rendition was very good. We appreciate how attentive the staff was. We will definitely be back!"

"Where do I begin. The food was 7/10 very salty and I'm salty gal. The atmosphere was good UNTIL the restaurant got busy then it was like being in the middle of the BUSIEST intersection, at one point during the meal I had to get up and move so the could move furniture. We bumped by the staff all night. Also when we arrived we mentioned that their map takes u to the old location.. They had the balls to challenge me on this telling that there's no way that happened, mind we were not the only people who this happened too. When we told management of our experience all we gots was we are sorry it's was are soft opening. Then that should have been mentioned when we arrived. They are trying to be like Ruth Chris they are more like Applebee's. The only thing they did like Ruth Chris was the prices.
