"First and foremost, the ramen is excellent. The broth is rich with umami, and the noodles have a great mouth feel. Other than that, the roasted pork in the regular tonkatsu set is delicious and satisfying. The combo said it's only six more dollars, and it comes with a bowl of rice and a size salad, which is more than I could finish today Overall, this is a stand out Ramen restaurant that either is learned from the failings of others, or never followed in their trendy footsteps in the first place"
"My favorite ramen spot in the South Bay!There was no line when I went and we were able to get seated immediately. Everything is self order through a QR code. My favorite ramen here is the spicy miso butter corn ramen and it hits every time! Our ramen and takoyaki came out really fast and everything had beautiful presentation. The waitlist may be long on the weekends but it is worth the wait! My other favorite appetizers have to be the shrimp tempura, chicken karaage, and the spicy edamame."

"My friend and I came into Kokoro Ramen for dinner. Upon arriving, there was a line, but they were able to seat us within just 5 minutes. We were able to quickly put in our orders; our food came out fairly quickly as well.I had the Veggie Shoyu Ramen, which was absolutely delicious. I am not a vegetarian, and I usually don't order vegetarian dishes, but I have to admit that, even without pork, this ramen was superb. In fact, I ate everything in my bowl, which usually doesn't happen when I get ramen! My only minor complaint is that they gave us an obviously damaged chopstick that had its end broken off. Otherwise, Kokoro Ramen is a solid choice for ramen."
"Marufuku is one of my favorite ramen to go to spots! So when they brought it down to Cupertino, I was ecstatic! The flavors in their ramen is so rich and makes each bite so delicious every time. I've tried multiple ramen places but always come back to this one. I always get their tonkatsu ramen. DX just means you get thicker cut of meat and some extra items in your bowl. I typically like thicker ramen noodles but this one comes with the thinner ones and it's actually perfect. I also always get their chasu rice bowl too. Very delicious! My friend got their chicken and it was juicy and came out sizzling! Service is always incredibly attentive. The restaurant is always clean and the decor is modern and beautiful. I came here during a weekend one time and the wait was pretty long, like 1.5hrs. Probably also because we had 6 of us but might be easier to snag a table with 2-4 people in a group. My friend was able to add our names to the list in person but still had to wait. During lunch hours and weekdays are usually not too bad. Parking can be tricky during busy hours but there's a ton of parking spaces shared with many other shops. Overall I do highly recommend. This place have always been one of the first restaurants I always recommend and take non locals to try. It never disappoints."
"I was visiting from out of town and a friend took me here and it did not disappoint! I thought all the rolls were great, the sushi taco especially stood out to me. They have great vegetarian options but I liked the non veg rolls too. It's a small space, but we came around 1:30 pm and immediately got seated. The staff was nice and overall I would come back."
"I have always heard great things about Big T's because of its great value and flavor and finally I got to try it! Fried oyster (5/5) - it's so freshly made! I haven't had such good fried oyster for a while and it definitely satisfied my need. It's so juicy and fried just proper amount of time Clam chowder (3/5) - I'm pretty picky on clam chowder coming from east coast. I give it 3 out of 5 because I don't think there's enough clams in there and it's not the type of thick clam chowder I like. Garlic clam (5/5) - this dish is so good!!! I love that they paired this dish with garlic bread. The clams taste fresh, and I dipped garlic bread in soup. So yummy!!Oyster (5/5) - oyster tastes fresh and price is decent!!Service (5/5) - awesome service! The staff was very friendly and helpful. He recommended the garlic clams to us and we really liked it.Environment wise, it's a pretty chill spot. A group of friends can hang out here and grab drink, and seafood!!Parking is easy to find because it's located in a plaza."
"I came here to say two days ago to grab my daughter some Shrimp Yakisoba. This is one of my go to restaurants when I'm in the area. The server Mark was on point. This review is really for him. He was inviting friendly and very courteous. He had us in and out. I ordered my food to go. Thank you for the great service Mark"
"This is my go-to ramen spot in the area. I recently took my team here for lunch, including a couple of co-workers who haven't had ramen before. It was no surprise that they loved it! Everyone ordered a different one, but I always go for the pork w/ tonkutsu (sp?). The flavors are great, and work so well together. The broth... We also ordered some apps to share. The karage is crispy and light, and the chicken is perfectly cooked. The spicy edamame hit the spot, and the calamari is a favorite of a few folx on the team. We chose to sit outside on the picnic benches, where folx could grab some shade or sun, depending on their mood. The road is right there, but you don't even notice it while you're eating. The service is good, not great. They tend to run a bit more than they need to when they are busy and probably could learn something about treating the whole party as one table, and even treating their section as one table so they don't run back and forth for separate asks."
"Definitely worth the 30 min wait...sign in and watch the queue on your phone if it makes u feel better.Restaurant is small but not cramped, service is fast, efficient. Ramen broth is rich with perfectly cooked noodles, but for me the corn rice pork bowl is what I'll be back for. Tender, flavorful pork over rice and corn. Simple and delish.Kill time at Harbor Freight, the comic store or the soon to open Micro center if u have a really long wait."
"Went here because I was craving tsukemen. Ordering is via a scannable menu and I don't know if they have hard copy menus because I was able to navigate the online menu with no problems. After my Dad and I ordered the waiter reminded us that we were entitled to a free beverage. I asked for the milk tea which came sweetened and in a paper cup but was fine.Anyway, my tsukemen came with a lot of broth but not a lot of noodles. The noodles were accompanied by two thin pieces of cha shu pork, some bamboo shoots, two overdone egg halves, a square of seaweed, and a lemon wedge. Since the broth was already yuzu-flavored I thought that using the lemon wedge would be citrus overkill. The broth was nice, if on the thin side (thinner than Tsujita in L.A. for example) but the portion was large enough to retain its heat by the time I dunked all the ingredients.A small dish of almond jelly came as a free dessert.I was not offered any dashi broth to thin out my soup.Overall, slightly above average tsukemen for the South Bay. If I ever came back, I would definitely order extra noodles."
"BRING BACK TOM YUM SOUP BROTH. As frequenters who actually completed 3 loyalty cards between 2 people we ask nicely please, bring back tom yum soup. The new sukiyaki broth that replaced it is too sweet and the sweet and sour tomato broth gave me a horrible acid reflux. After they removed tom yum we tried it a couple more times but even the variety of the ingredients decreased. Sadly, we won't be coming back anytime soon. Maybe maybe maybe"
"Good experience overall at Ramen Champ yesterday at 12:30. We looked at the busyness level from another review page online and were surprised it was low so we went for it! It's a small restaurant, but it's cozy! My husband had a craving for ramen on this cold day so I thought it was a good chance for me to broaden my food horizons. ;)Funny enough, I had never tried ramen before. It was a bit of a letdown when there was a sign on the door that Tonkotsu Ramen was unavailable, but hopefully this isn't a common thing... My husband said that is the flavor he always orders. In this case we opted to split the Shoyu Ramen. We ordered extra noodles for the perfect, shareable lunch. The portions are huge and it was great to split. We had edamame to start and I was feeling extra brazen so I ordered the fried octopus balls. I have to say the Takoyaki was not for my taste, but that must just be my taste buds because they seem very popular from reading the reviews. I appreciated the QR code to easily order and pay ahead. We opted for a window seat to have a bit more privacy and it was a nice lunch. I will hopefully be back to try the Tonkatsu Ramen since I did like the Shoyu Ramen. ;)"

I ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen, and as always, it feels like both home and a hug at the same time.I first tried HiroNori in LA, and was so happy to find it in the Bay Area! It still gives me the same butterflies as when I first tasted it. The broth is absolutely amazing--nothing really compares, to be honest. We visited on Valentine's weekend, and to our surprise, it wasn't too busy. Parking was also surprisingly easy, despite being in the heart of downtown San Mateo. The servers were incredibly friendly and even offered great recommendations. The chicken was perfection--crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. We also tried the vegan gyoza, which was good but I'd rate it a 7/10.The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I haven't yet tried all of their ramen options. I'll update my review once I do. LOL!

4.8/5 stars! This place has a cozy and intimate atmosphere, especially if you sit on the patio with the lights! I love how they allow you to bring dogs out onto the patio, as well. The service here is one of the best that I've experienced. Everyone is so friendly and attentive, ensuring that you feel cared for. The ordering process is mainly over the phone using a QR code, and you are able to pay right away through this process. For the food itself, I absolutely loved the Creamy Ramen! 9/10! This vegan option was packed with flavor, and I thought it had an aftertaste of corn (which was tasty, in my opinion). The broth is made with soy milk, shiitake mushroom "dashi," and sesame. It definitely lived up to its creamy description. Of all the toppings added, I loved the crispy kale. It paired well with the soup and added a nice texture, and the kale itself tasted buttery! I would really recommend this to anyone, as it could be a delicious meal for vegans and curious meat lovers, as well!

Very small little Japanese ramen joint, feels just like in Japan, more mom and pop shops are very small there. Therefore, seats are also pretty tight together to maximize their space. There's barely enough space to get in and out of your table. Despite small space, I live the ramens here. Tonkatsu Ramen broth was so delicious broth is not overly oily nor salty. Strong bone broth and a little creamy. Noodles were nicely done, not too soft nor too firm. There's thick and thin ramen noodle options to choose from. I was surprised with the roasted garlic. I normally don't consume the entire clove of garlic, I was curious how it was going to taste like, so I tried one, it was soft and little creamy with full of flavors but not over powering. Each bowl came with two pieces of roasted garlic, don't miss it next time.

Ate at this location a couple of times and once in the SF location prior. This place is usually busy during dinner time and especially during weekends so if possible, try to reserve on the app when it's available- luckily it's in a plaza and you can kill time in it as well (this plaza is particularly busy). My order usually consists of either the Hakata Tonkotsu or the Vegetarian one. I don't crave ramen as often but I particularly like this as the broth doesn't feel too heavy compared to other places. Food is consistent. Setting is nice but does get a little loud with the music and conversations going on. Downside is seating and service- In the past, I was directed to sit in the corner when it wasn't even busy. Another time I was sat near the kitchen and garbage when the tables surrounding me were open. There was a miscommunication about an order once before too and just ended up ordering the extras as a side.

Best whole in the wall HH ever! (Everyday 3-6:30pm) The ambiance is a great place to go to for a nice cold beer and oysters. Their happy hour menu consists of all the finger foods you can think of. We got the house fries which were topped with garlic and green onions, I've never had fries like this before and it was a game changer. The garlic ramen also chefs kiss. The amount of flavor this had was immaculate. If you're also a garlic lover like me, you'll definitely enjoy this one! As an oyster enthusiast, Big Ts has one of the best HH oysters pricing compared to other restaurants. They even had both my favorites, Kumamoto and Kusshi. Thank you to the server for giving us all the sauce we wanted for our fries and oysters. I can't wait to come back. Big Ts has great price and great quality, what more can you ask for!

The salmon teriyaki don is AMAZING! The salmon is crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked inside. The dish comes with rice and has 3 pieces of salmon, slices of cucumber, pickled radish and slivers of green onion. Each bite is delectable. The service is friendly and the restaurant has seating inside and outside.

"I visit Ramen 101 frequently, and it consistently delivers a great experience. While it's not an upscale or fancy spot, it's perfect for casual dining. The food is consistently excellent, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. One of the best things about this place is the variety of broth options--they offer veggie or chicken and pork, which is a rare find compared to other ramen spots that typically have just one. Since I don't eat pork, I always go for the veggie-based chicken ramen, and it's delicious every time. Their chicken karaage is also a fantastic side to pair with the ramen. If you're in the area and looking for a satisfying meal, I highly recommend checking this place out!"
"Fun place for lunch today. There are two walls of ramen choices to choose from ranging from mild to very spicy. There are also options of regular ramen options from no spice to very spicy. Lots of available add ons as well. Small selection of drink's available as well as a modest snack section. My tonkatsu ramen was very good with good bouncy noodles and flavor. The broth was a touch salty for hubby but perfect for me. Hubby said his instant ramen was cool for the experience and he appreciated the add ons as well. Service was very helpful with selecting the appropriate spiciness levels of the ramen as well as the cooking apparatus for the instant ramen."
"Stopped by on a Sunday for lunch. We were seated immediately as it wasn't busy. Service was quick and friendly. Cute little space with some tables and a bar seating area. We ordered the gyoza, Omurice, and Men-Bei ramen. Portions were huge considering the price. The Omurice was DELICIOUS. Each grain of rice was perfectly wok fried. The outer layer of egg was so thin and didn't overwhelm the rice. It was literally the size of a football. Easily enough for 2-3 people. The Men-Bei ramen was tasty and the broth wasn't too salty. Super reasonable prices, huge portions, and delicious food. What's not to love? I will definitely be back to try their other dishes."
"Great deal for All You Can Eat Sushi at $50. It's good quality rolls .... And they're friendly... I'll be back. The ambiance isn't fancy ... it's simple but clean. They also have Ramen and alternatives for those who don't want raw fish ..."
"I'm amending my review for a few reasons, mainly for the consumer to be discerning and have a full understanding that this place is hit or miss. When it is good (service and food) it's very very good, but when it's bad, it's horrid. Good day:Service is on point, prices are fair, and the ramen is served hot and very tasty. Bad day (actual experiences, and I've been here several times as it's my go-to ramen place)Broth lukewarm, tonkatsu overcooked and dry (today), the server doesn't ask your noodle thickness preferred and just chooses what they want, server forgets appetizer, server doesn't bring the proper drink you asked for and there can just be a lack of attentiveness from service. All that said, they offer a semi-full bar, restrooms and establishment always clean and when the food is good, it's banging. I hate that this place is so inconsistent. It makes me hesitate to recommend it to friends or take people here as I don't know if they/we will go on a good or bad day. My warning to you is to go and just pray it's a good day."
"Came here on Sunday around noon, my boyfriend and I were immediately seated upon arrival. The restaurant itself is pretty spacious and family friendly. Once we were seated, they brought out waters and utensils! But if I'm honest, the time it took to get our food was really slow compared to how fast they seated us and brought out our waters. Tom San was a rec from one of my friends, and we were so shocked to see the prices when looking at the menu. You're really getting a great deal for the sashimi and ramen as well. Onto the food itself, the ramen was so delicious. We got the spicy miso - perfectly spicy and there was so much depth to the broth. It wasn't watery or super thick, the perfect amount of both. The egg was a little runnier than I liked, but still very lovely pair with the ramen. We also got their chirashi bowl, which was filled with ample amounts of sashimi. So good and we were honestly stuffed at the end, it hurt. Dragon roll was so yum, the tempura was so crispy and the sauce wasn't too sweet! Highly recommend, seems like everything on their menu is going to be good. If you're looking for a quick spot, it does take some amount of time for them to prep the food (which - I am not complaining about! Obviously I'd rather have quality of food over the speed of delivery; though both would be nice), that being said, I recommend coming here for the quality of the food!"
"The food is yummy, and sushi is fresh. The service is good. I have been here for over 10 years. The boss here also friendly"
"Food: I have tried the today's special. The portion of food is full enough. No need to grab another quick bite in the afternoon.Service: Quick and accurate. I sat down, finished the food and left the place within 20 minutes. Ambiance: a bit dark. Not a problem. This is a small business for sure. Nothing fancy."
"Exactly as expected at a Morimoto spot. The ramen was excellent, but it's everything else that is really stand out. I think next time we go we'll treat it like tapas... the service was on-point and the location is perfect for eating and people watching"
"Love going to this place for a date or with family, they offer great sushi and fish for a nice fair price. The chefs plate in front of you and also they offer more than sushi and seafood, they have ramen which I always enjoy. The service is always kind and they are always so helpful."
"A nice, cozy Japanese restaurant to get delicious Japanese food from!My friends and I stopped here for a dinner and we were able to make a reservation for here. For a Sunday at 5:00 PM, the restaurant was somewhat empty however more people came by throughout the night. We did family style so we ordered an array of dishes. My notable dishes of the night were the takowasa, kaisen don, and the estudillo roll. The takowasa has the perfect kick of wasabi and it was the perfect cleanser for in between meals; I've had some takowasa where it was not enough wasabi or it was too much wasabi to where I cannot enjoy it. The kaisen don was so yummy! From the plentiful ikura to the sushi rice, it was such a well balanced meal for all to enjoy, It also comes with a bowl of miso soup. The estudillo roll took me by surprise because I did not expect a lot of flavors from a sushi roll. All of our seafood tasted so fresh and for a reasonable price! Apparently, we also came during happy hour but there was no happy hour menu so we weren't aware of what we could've ordered."
"We came on a chilly Saturday - would rate a 3/5 KARAGE: came out so fast, I'm pretty sure that they probably just refried it a little bit. Overall was pretty good, I wish it had more salt salt/pepper. Pretty good, maybe about 10-12ish pieces. Wish it was crispier. Yeah, I got the ($13.50) TONKATSU Ramen: overall, a really rich broth, it wasn't too salty, which was really nice. There were a few pieces of bamboo in it, a good amount of noodles, and three thick pieces of Cha su pork! They're also black, fungus and green onions as well. I say it was tasty. My husband got the ($15.50) SPICY TONKATSU RAMEN, this was pretty yummy and quite garlicky. Wasn't too spicy, flavor profile was alright, the soup was rich but all the other stuff didn't really have much taste at all.Service was good, everyone was really nice and pretty timely :) Almost gives me cruise ship food vibes. But really good for the price point."
"Love the ramen and all the other food here.I tried it last month and have been wanting to come back ever since. I ordered a different ramen and it was still just as good as the first time."
"I was pleasantly surprised with how good this place is! Picked up my nephew for a lunch date and he requested sushi. This place was so close to his house we tried. It's nestled in the chain malls on Hesperian. I would say there's about 10 tables and we sat right away. I liked how affordable things looked. Nothing more than $15. Service was attentive and friendlyKaki fry 4/5. Came out hot and crunchy. Oysters were good. Could use a touch more seasoning. Passion Salmon 4.5/5. I love garlic and salmon so this roll was perfect. Plenty of fish on top and the garlic was present but not overpowering.Lion King 5/5. Honestly one of the better lion kings I've had! A little heavy handed on the mayo but I liked it lol.Really good value restaurant! And my picky nephew approved lol."
"Ramen 101 is an okay ramen spot. The noodles are a bit larger than I prefer and the seasonings are a tad peculiar but over it's a fairly reliable take out spot, arrives well packaged, and offers a nice size portion. The phone service is decent as I've only had to call and speak with them. I've never dined in, so can't inform you about the ambiance; nonetheless, they're reliable and consistent. ."
"Do not be like me and come here after a long day of not eating because you'll end up packing down a bowl for 2 meals! But also be like me if you don't mind delicious leftovers. The selection variety for the bowls here are great: they'll have most of the classic hot pot options with some few extra goodies I haven't seen elsewhere where and enjoy such as the fish tofu with cheese and mochi nuggets! With mild spice on the signature beef bone broth I could def feel a little numbing in my mouth but it's so flavorful.Their bottled drink selections were refreshing if you want a fun flavored drink like grape or pomegranate tea. Alternatively, they offer drinks on the side that are free next to the sauce bar.I'm already looking forward to my next time eating here! Definitely come with friends to bet on how much food each person will end up paying for based on the weight of their bowl."
"We were bummed we lost our local ramen spot at Bayfair awhile back. Fate sent us here ... we happen to be driving down Foothill Blvd and decided we would stop and have dinner here. We ordered:Gyoza appetizer- it was crunchy on the outside and tender inside. Delicious. Sashimi - I don't like sushi but the wife was very happy with it. Chicken Ramen w / spicy broth - this was soooo good. The ramen was soft and tasty and the broth was amazing. Miso Ramen- my wife said the pork was so tender and she was also very happy. It was 5PM on a Monday and the place was dead. I hope it stays open .... We will definitely come back! The only con is looking for parking around the area. Other than that.... Food is delicious."
"Ramen is good any time of year but I especially enjoy eating ramen in colder weather. I consider Juban ramen to be a hole in the wall and undiscoverable unless through word of mouth or Yelp! Juban is consistent and I recommend their tonkotsu ramen with the deep pork bone broth - it's so soothing! Two thin slices of chashu, some bamboo, bean sprouts, half soft boiled egg, green onions and chewy noodles for $16. Max capacity I'd say is about 25 people with 10 tables so service is quick. The chicken karage uses tender and juicy thigh meat but I do prefer the batter to be more crispy. All in all solid ramen place; give it a try in you're in the area."
"This is far THE BEST all you can eat I had in the Bay Area! The bay roll (roll with scallop and a creamy sauce on the top) is simply AMAZING!The curry katzu is the best curry ever, it is very flavorful!I give them 5 stars because I can't give them 10.They use quality ingredients on the food, seasoning is perfect, the service is great, super kind staff. The ambient is also super comfy.I will definitely come back!"
"Came here for dinner with a friend. We picked this place based on my friend's recommendations, boy did it not disappoint. My friend told us that the owner sources from local Ingridents and makes his ramen based on that. Here's what we orderedEnoki chipsCorn frittersBeef don Every appetizer was deliciousI got the tonkotsu deluxe ramen, I love the flavor of the yuzu in the protein. Enoki chips are great to add into the ramen broth too. Environment is casual."
"I come here often for the lunch bento special and an occasional California roll. Every time, it's A+ service and food quality. The servers are very attentive, kind and quick. I used to go to Spiral for their bento or HH/lunch. Had to wait at Spiral for over 45 minutes to get our food and they ignore us when we asked for utensils, napkins and water. Never went back since, now I go here to Yoshi. The restaurant is always very clean, there is nice decor inside and the booths are a nice touch that is not common in this area. It's a very nice, quiet and pretty atmosphere. The quality of my bentos are always great. Everything tastes fresh. I always have a plump piece of salmon. The tempura and gyoza are juicy and fried perfectly. The miso and salad have just the right flavor. $17 for all this food is a good deal for the area. Spiral is $21 and the other Japanese places around here are in the $20s+ for bentos. It is good quality and I was surprised because it's mall food. If you go inside the mall, there's a sushi conveyor belt restaurant with really poor quality and tiny portions. They don't skimp me here at Yoshi. I don't have to ask the servers for anything. You are seated right away. They bring out your order very fast. They refill your cup when it's empty. They ask you if you need anything. A+ service. I've seen them cleaning and the restaurant looks very clean whenever I am there. Also, there is no carpet. There are 3 dozen or utensils, soy sauce and napkins already on the table. I think some reviewers may be mistaken. I do usually go at lunch and they open at 11am, so maybe that's a factor. But I've come for dinner before and never had an issue."
"Food? Excellent quality and a great value! My partner had the sizzling short rib rice, and I had the sizzling eel rice. Both were taste sensations! The server was a very sweet, soft spoken young woman who advised us to not touch the cast iron bowl and to mix in the house made sauce into the rice. Even after 20 minutes, the cast iron was still hot which gave the rice on the bottom a crispy, chewy texture that we loved. The short ribs were Hawaiian style. The eel melted in my mouth. Other folks were having fried noodles, sashimi, a tower of cucumber slices, ramen, and all of it was beautifully presented. The menu is only available by QR code. It is somewhat limited in comparison with other Asian restaurants. I like that they stick with the sizzling dishes, pressed sushi, noodles and soups. Do what you do best! They do! It's delicious! Interestingly, they don't have hot tea. It was a crisp day, and I really would have enjoyed a cup of genmaicha. However, they serve a beautiful carafe of water with lemon slices. Service? The servers, and bus boy were obviously young family members. Nevertheless, they were friendly, efficient, and professional.Ambiance? This is a family friendly place ringing with the joyous giggles and screams of children, all of whom are well behaved! The decor is kind of in the style of a classy day care, but it's totally appropriate for this family eatery. We live in Salinas, and came up to drop off a car at Carvana. I searched for restaurants in Blossom Valley, and came up with MiMi's. What a find! We'll definitely come here again!"
"Such a cute spot!Went with a friend for lunch and the food was great! The menu was pretty big and all looked great. They even included a board and markers to fill out when ordering a poke bowl, no need to recite all the different ingredients you want added. I got a shrimp/tofu bowl, and my friend got the Agedashi tofu soba noodles. We shared some garlic edamame and all the food was delicious. The service was nice and fast, and overall the experience was great! I hope to be back soon to try more of their food!"
