"High end bougie patisserie! The pastries all look like works of art in display.Black sesame croissant was slamming! It was filled up with sesame cream that oozed out when you bit into it. Service was good. Lots of people in line to eat pretty pretty pastries."
"WOW I love you, Paris Baquette! Your cakes are the best! Light, creamy, fluffy, perfect for my taste bud! Your Green tea cake, strawberry and banana roll cakes, and blueberry cream cake are among some of my favorites!! I love the plenty of pastries options here as well!!!! The cream puffs, Croissants, Crème Brûlée Buns, Mochi Doughnuts are absolutely delightful! Your Macaroons are so Great! Love the blueberries Pistachios, Strawberries, and chocolate Flavors!I cannot wait to try other cakes and bake goods items here, Paris Baquette!!!"
"This is my favorite bakery for breakfast. The location is perfect for work. I always order the hash brown bread because its delicious! They prepare the bakery before customers arrive in the morning. The service is good and fast. I also like to order the matcha latte, which they make for me. I met one of the cashier who can sign language a little. I am deaf and I can sign language. He could understand what I sign. There's a mural of San Francisco on the wall inside. I wish I could smell the breads from Paris Baguette, that would be amazing!"
"You know how much I love Simply Cake? I live in Marin County and get my birthday cakes from Simply Cake. That's not to say we don't have amazing bakeries, we do. It's just that Simply Cake makes cakes that I love. One that we've ordered twice now is their Vanilla Crunch Cake. Vanilla sponge cake, whipped cream frosting and filling and a very thin layer of chocolate in between, topped with fresh diced fruit. They are a work of art. Also, the cakes are not cloyingly sweet, they are just right. You can get them in a variety of sizes and considering the quality and presentation the prices are amazingly low. They'll also include small paper plates, forks and a cute little cake spatula. Another treat that I love is their Hokkaido cream dessert. The best I can describe it is similar to angel food cake with vanilla cream at the bottom. The service is great as well. Helpful, kind and efficient. I always make sure to tip well as they deserve it.In addition to cakes they also have a fantastic variety of other baked goods, sweet and savory. My husband loves their savory items so when I'm there I get several and freeze them for later.Go in, get your tray and tongs and take your time browsing. Happiness guaranteed."
"Stumbled across this gem a few weeks ago. Amazing!!!! The concha's are immaculate!!!! Friendly staff!"
"I've ordered a beautiful cake for my daughter's baby shower! It was absolutely beautiful and delicious! I chose to have it delivered in Mill Valley and the delivery was right on time! The cake was a beautiful centerpiece on the desert table. Everyone loved it! Thank you!"
"Possibly one of the best cakes I have EVER had - and thus now one of my two go-tos when it comes to all of my cake catering needs.Randomly nestled in a boba place in a shopping plaza, most people honestly wouldn't know they even sell cakes unless you find them online, which is also the easiest way to make orders. It's pretty simple - you make an online order and come in to pick up the cake.Asking about stuff like ambience is pretty much irrelevant since almost nobody orders large cakes and eats them on the spot (honestly very based move to do so), but I would say that the service is fantastic. They do try to be very speedy and the one time I ordered my cake for a party two days later, they actually gave remarkably detailed instructions/hints on how to keep the cake fresher for longer (because they make each day to order fresh!).Finally, the cake itself is very good. Pretty much every flavor I've tried (winter bunny, oreo cake, and hojicha) has been super creamy and not overpoweringly sweet (like most commercial cakes are). This is pretty much one of the best cakes you can ever get for someone who goes "oh, nice, not too sweet." It also allows the flavor of whatever flavor you select to be pretty prominent. For example, the hojicha flavor had one of the most potent hojichas I've ever tasted. Also, the boxing is pretty nice.Fantastic place and would recommend for anyone looking for a cake to wow someone with."
"TLDR: Solid pastries. "The Rebel Within" just get it.**NOTE** This location is a booth at the Palo Alto Farmer's Market SATURDAY ONLY. You can order online ahead of time and pickup here, or go and see what's still available. Food:(4.7/5) The Rebel Within (soft boiled egg thing): GREAT. The star of the show. A really strong ham/cheese muffing. Strong additional green onion/savory flavors. The base would make a really great scone/muffin on its own. The perfectly soft-boiled egg takes it to another level! The yolk was perfectly jelly and added extra richness. A full breakfast in muffin form. It's pretty heavy, and could carry you through the morning. Great idea. Great execution.(4.0/5) BlackBerry Almond Muffin: A dense, moist, flavorful muffin. Large chunks of blackberry mixed in. Very fruit forward without being too sweet. Nice crumbly, sugary, chunks on top were a bonus. (3.9/5) Kouign Amman (Nectarine filling): An interesting step up from your standard KA. A HUGE amount of nectarine filling. Not too tart/sweet. Like a homemade nectarine jam stuffed inside. Great cross-section and filling/pastry ratio. The filling could have been even more Nectarine forward, but still very good.(3.0/5) Croissant Pudding (Saturday/Sunday only): A standard bread pudding-type dessert made with croissants instead of bread. This added even more buttery richness, but looses the croissants' signature layering and textures. It's definitely tasty, but not mind-blowing. (2.0/5) Dark Chocolate Croissant: SKIP. Worse than a standard croissant. It had great layering/lamination. Well baked, with a great dark chocolate color. But the flavor didn't come through. Not enough sweetness to counter the dark chocolate's bitterness. The bites with actual chocolate chunks were pretty good. Though, a standard croissant would have been a better play.Other: - Best to order online beforehand. Pickup time doesn't matter. Your order will already be packaged when you arrive.- They sell out of "The Rebel Within" pretty quickly."
"Overall: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Food: 5/5I ordered 4 dozen mini cupcakes for a small event i was hosting and got so many compliments about how delicious the cupcakes were! I picked the mini cupcakes which was a perfect 2-bite dessert! I also love how the flavors are unique, cupcake had filling inside, and it wasn't too sweet. The communication was mainly done via email and on the day of pick up, they did a text reminder and arrived on time to the meet up location.Would order from them again! What I Ordered & Price:(1) Dz MINI earl grey strawberry butterfly pea cupcakes: $40(1) Dz MINI lychee raspberry rose cupcakes: $40(1) Dz MINI burnt almond cupcakes: $40(1) Dz MINI pandan mango coconut cupcakes: $40"
"Stumbled upon the Kibler Elf at a midweek Menlo Park market. My friend and I were lured in by the various jams and jellies and had ourselves some samples. After we thoroughly enjoyed the guava jam we were then informed that it was used in the coffee cake as well!Well, dang!Just by chance we also had a larger meetup later in the week so we asked if there was a large coffee cake instead of buying a bunch of smaller ones. As fate would have it, just one big guava coffee cake was brought by the vendor on this day. If that's not fate, idk what is.The coffee cake was SOLID. The crumb was tender and infused beautifully with the guava jam. I also liked that it wasn't too sweet. I sure hope to find the Kibler Elf again some day to pick up more delectable goods!"
"What a cute and beautiful shop! I love the enticing food/dessert displays and the nature-inspired interior. The manager is friendly and professional, and helped me figure out which flavors of Jar Cake to get - we prefer less sweet, so I got the Tiramisu and Ruby Chocolate. Both were delicious! I'm looking forward to trying the Pistachio next time. I often look for good food/dessert to bring as gifts, and their cute cardboard box that fits 2 jars will be perfect for my future lucky recipient. (I opted for a bag for my own purchase today.)I came by on a weekday after lunch, so I didn't get to try the savory food but they all looked delectable! The variety rotates. The packaging is neat, and Best Buy dates are clearly marked. There's plenty of street parking near and around California Ave. I will definitely return when I need goodies to-go!"

Alexander's Patisserie is a little slice of heaven! The hot chocolate here is *rich* and super chocolatey--definitely for anyone who loves a bold, indulgent drink. It was surprisingly perfect for a warm day because it was served *super hot* and just so comforting. The croissant I had was AMAZING. Flaky, buttery, and fresh out of the oven--honestly, one of the best I've had in a long time. The pastry was the perfect balance of soft and crisp, making each bite pure bliss.Service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere is absolutely beautiful. With cozy, chic decor, it's the perfect spot to sit and relax while sipping on something decadent. Can't wait to go back!

I was in the area and wanted to get some baked goods. It was also the Tet festival so it was a little hectic. I tried their coffee danish and I recommend it as well as a raspberry almond croissant and chocolate chiffon cake. All pastries were perfect in sweetness and not too sweet. Size and price was reasonable. The cake was $9/slice which seems a little high. Overall quick and easy bakery with outdoor and indoor seating. They also offer cookies, bread, and other baked goods.

I don't normally sit at cafes or bakeries, but today was an exception, having on waiting for my siblings decision on Mom's birthday cake. I normally like visiting or running my errands here in San Carlos, but parking is a hit or miss if you want to stop by Paris. I probably circled once and found parking like two blocks away, no biggie. I got here a little before 230 p.m. and there was a huge line, which dispersed in a matter of minutes. I ordered a slice of blueberry chiffon cake. It was light and flavorful. I also ordered a cup of green tea and appreciated how the tea bag itself was a satchel. Decent selection of pastries, donuts and soft cakes!I've been to a few Paris Baguette locations and I think this one in San Carlos is the biggest one, having separate seatings for reserved tables and a separate dining area for study groups, etc. What's nice is there is outdoor seating in front of the store, covered by the building's overhang, right in front tof the sidewalk. Unlike most locations, this one has glass walls that you can see who is baking in the back. It's my first time here, but due to my impression today, I would definitely come back and recommend everyone to scope this location out.

Ran in to get a last minute cake the day of, didn't have much selection out (other than chocolate, chocolate, chocolate & a fruit cake), which is a good and bad thing -- good being that it probably means they make their cakes fresh so it's best to preorder them and schedule a pick up, bad because last minute people like me will wish that we should've called in for place an order. I ended up getting an 8" fruitcake, it was good. Can't go wrong with a simple fruit cake! & the fruits tasted super fresh & delicious! Store is small and cute. Workers there were friendly and answered all my questions. They also have baked goods like buns and other desserts that you can buy too!

I think this place is very underrated. It's not in the most convenient location but there's plenty of parking. I can't speak about their sandwiches or tortas but their pan dulce and baked goods are never disappointing. The pan dulce is always soft and delicious, it doesn't taste dry or old which can often happen. Their customer service is great too. I highly recommend stopping in and trying this place.

I ordered a low sugar cake for my daughter's birthday (who has type 1 diabetes) while I was traveling in asia. The cake looked beautiful and tasted wonderful and was delivered on time the day after I got back to the US. Everyone loved it. Really happy I ordered it from Zibatreats.

This is located inside a T4, which caught me off guard a bit since I thought it was their very own little bake shop!Nevertheless, drove here last minute to pick up a cake. We ordered their Matcha flavored cake and for 4 inches (which was very small) it was about $22-$23. A bit pricey in my opinion for the size cake you're buying but the taste did not disappoint! It was super light and fluffy and not too sweet. We Asians love desserts not too sweet so I guess the price justified everything. We did have to ask for a Candle since they did not give one to us initially but would definitely recommend coming here for a cute little cake again, perfect for any occasion!

~ L O C A T I O N ~ Cal Ave Farmers Market, which can be a little crowded! Very nondescript black canopy stall on the same side as Izzy's/Joanie's with a fancy display case. There often is a line!~ S E R V I C E ~They cannot warm up items for you, so you purchase the items to take home and warm up at home. They sell out FAST. And they have weekend specials! If you have the foresight, I highly recommend pre-ordering!~ F O O D / P A S T R I E S ~Ham and Cheese Croissant $5Make sure to toast it when you get home! The lamination is great! And the ham is very high quality. The Rebel Within $8.50The cost of this little muffin is almost inhibitory but it's worth it! Don't let the price tag scare you away. This is one impressive muffin! Make sure to warm it up! THIS IS A MUST because the egg inside is soft-boiled and then refrigerated so its cold inside. You want to warm it up so the runny egg is warm! Preheat oven to around 400-450F and pop this little guy in for 5 minutes! Then cut it down the middle and watch that golden yolk runnnnnnnnn! This is served with tabasco salt that's packaged in a 1.5 mL microcentrifuge tube! Don't forget about it! The salt is a great pairing with the egg! The muffin is delectably moist and has a delicious caramelized onion flavor! This is the scotch egg of baked goods!~ O V E R A L L ~Pricy, pricy! But to be honest its worth it. Very instagrammable and very delicious lololol. Some places aren't worth it, but this place is! I will be back to try the kouign amanns!

"I'm definitely the unpopular opinion when it comes to CA Bakehouse. Maybe Asian desserts aren't my fave but items ordered were decent. Sister loves her pandan desserts and asked me to pick up items with pandan ("Asian-vanilla") usually accompanied by coconut milk: :: Pandan Macadamia Cookie - these were okay and not much to rave about as far as flavor but it was a nice soft, chewy cookie with taste of macadamia :: Bánh Bò Nướng (honeycomb cake) - chewy, airy from the use of tapioca flour...if you like mochi you'll love this cake. Sadly, it wasn't for me...its a texture thing and to me, didn't have much flavor :: Kaya and Durian Egg Tart - family enjoyed these brightly-colored tarts. Crust nice and flaky. Wish I had purchased a simple Portuguese tart to try. Overall, i wasn't a fan but sister was happy with her #1 request of the honeycomb cake with the bouncy texture and pandan flavors. Other family members enjoyed but I felt like my 7- year old niece "I just taste GREEN"....EXACTLY! Also picked up orders for a friend and she thought items were 'ok'. The owner who handed me my order was very friendly and nice. After ordering about $150 worth of items, I forgot to add a pandan waffle to eat for the ride home... I asked if it was okay to order ONE item....the young worker said I would have to move over to the ORDERING line (10 people) and wait. SMH. It wasn't like I was ordering 10 more items.....almost had a New Jersey Housewife moment and flip the table....okay, only in my head! Place is set up for pickup/ordering at the door vs perusing in the bakery. Best to order online and pickup to minimize the wait. Saturday pickup was fine as i have good parking karma and scored a spot in front but it's a bit chaotic exiting (101, Story Road) the freeway (11:30 am) with parking being a challenge and a bit frenetic."
"3.5 STARSFriend: "What's that?"Me: "A 2D croissant."Friend: "Looks like someone sat on it. Hope they didn't fart on it."Me: *SNIFF TEST*Spending hours painstakingly creating beautifully laminated layers only to *SMASH* it seems sacrilegious to a French croissant. But, this became a viral trend in Korea last year which has now come to The Bay. Introducing the 2D Korean-inspired: Croissant Nurungi aka Flat Croissant....They're available at Alexander's Pâtisserie (Cupertino & Mountain View). 4 flavors: Plain, strawberry, mango, and chocolate ($6-$6.50 each). * Plain ($6) // 3 stars * Strawberry ($6.50) // 4 stars : http://tinyurl.com/mr28h3n3Gimmicky? Fo'Sho...imo. Low key reminds me of palmiers (cookies), the 2D croissants were crunchy and flaky with a buttery, slightly caramelized sweetness. Not as sugary as palmiers. After several bites, the plain one became monotonous. The strawberry chocolate + dehydrated strawberries was much better. The creamy pleasant tartness perfectly complemented the butteriness.Pairs well with tea + coffee. Overall, the 2D croissants were fine and I may get one again when I'm craving a bougie palmier but def seems like another social media novelty trend. Gotta try things for yourself tho. Rounding down because of my other experiences at this pâtisserie. I'm a fan of their steakhouse but I find their desserts look better than they taste (for my taste preferences). Also, on one visit, the macarons and truffles I purchased were stale.OTHER NOTES:* Hidden behind Pacific Catch's storefront.* Much smaller than their MV location with a limited selection. * Hot tea + coffee available. No matcha tho which is disappointing considering their brand has Japanese influences. * Tock: Cake Pre-Orders + Afternoon Tea Rezzies * Afternoon Tea ($65 pp) in partnership with Claude Le Tohic and SF's ONE65 is available on the patio. Includes fresh seasonal assortment of pastries, macarons, sandwiches, chocolates, tea, and coffee.* Outdoor patio seating only (dog-friendly)."
"I have ordered cakes from here a couple of times! Recently ordered the mango cake and it was delicious. Absolutely soft and moist and not too sweet."
"I went to the pop-up sale at Coffee & Water Lab, and there was a variety of cookies for sale. Jane was very friendly and greeted us with a smile. The cookies are a little on the sweet side, but I love the texture. The matcha dulcey cookie was sweeter than the mocha cookie likely because of the dulcey part, but each bite was a nice hit of flavor and crispiness. Personally the crispiness is the selling point of these cookies. For these prices, the cookies serve as great gifts or just small treats!"
"I always get the chocolate covered croissant here. It looks deceptively heavy, but it isn't at all. The croissant is at it should be--buttery, flaky with a nice honeycomb interior. The whole croissant is covered with dark chocolate and it is divine to eat. Not too sweet, super light and just so perfect with a cup of warm matcha latte. The hubby got the Kouign Amann and he loved it too. I've had a slice of their Japanese Strawberry Shortcake in the past and it is excellent too. The store is cramped inside. All the seating is outdoors. Their staff is always friendly and they don't rush you when you're trying to choose from their plethora of baked goods. My sister lives nearby, so we come here every few months or so."
"Wow! Such a great spot.I brought my partner here for a treat on his 30th birthday and we were both blown away. For starters, It's beautiful inside. But most importantly the cakes were heavenly. The tea service was complimentary which was icing on the cake (pun very much intended). We will absolutely be back and telling our friends."
"Door dashed a mango mousse cake, Oreo cupcake, salted caramel cupcake, and princess cake. The princess cake wasn't available so we sadly didn't get to try that, but the mousse cake was amazing flavor! The Oreo cupcake frosting was very delicious but both cupcakes were just okay. The salted caramel frosting didn't really taste like salted Carmel's and the chocolate cupcake could be richer. Overall, I think it was still good and would def order again to try the princes cake!"
"If money isn't an object/you live in Saratoga and are within walking distance/don't feel like driving then it's ok, though I saw Big Basin Cafe a few blocks away had more people + space.$7 Mexican mocha where the majority of the flavor is "sweet + I can kind of taste cinnamon in it" didn't seem worth it to me. I normally take photos but forgot due to being underwhelmed with the place/in a rush. All of the tables were taken even around closing time, and the service seemed tired."
"Stopped by Paris Baguette for a small dessert after having dinner at a nearby restaurant. Conveniently just a few feet away, this place came in clutch without having to do too much. The store was still pretty busy on New Years Eve. Students studying, catch up sessions, and families enjoying an evening dessert filled the establishment. Luckily for us, the selection of baked goods still had a few options. The pastry case didn't lack items and my daughter absolutely needed to get her tiny hands on a macaron. 5/5 stars for the patient staff who didn't huff and puff over my indecisive toddler. Purchases tasted good as well."
"I love sweet diplomacy for offering very yummy gf and df options. although it has been an expensive it or miss, still 4 stars for what they get right.I LOVE their Lemon poppyseed muffins laced with yummy icing.I honestly didn't care for their cookies at all. some even seemed under baked..I love the vegan GF cupcakes though! especially the vanilla icing.. they had some rotation of some cherry or raspberry filling .. super yummy.the brownies are meh.. I like the paleo better ..the service averages a 4 stars.. sometimes you get 5 star, sometimes 3.. ambiance is lovely, just wish they had seating."
"I've been coming here since I was a kid. It has its organized line and they revamped the ambience and have monitors wirh menu on them. And now you can pay with apple/Droid pay. You're not forced to go to the bank and use cash. My have the times have changed. Tldr:highly recommend."
"4.5 STARSNearly $5 for one Bǐng?!After the initial shock, I had to check myself.I don't complain about a $6 croissant from a pâtisserie. What about a boba drink? A freakin' boba drink can cost up to $8....for some tea, milk, and balls...that one can easily make at home. And, there are days, I'll have two drinks. Sans the balls. Then, some of us wonder why we're hella broque?!The Bǐng at M. Y Bakery are 100% worth the price (I'm trying to change my mentality that AZN food should be cheap) but I'll get into that later...M. I was covered in flaky goodness because it was so light and shatteringly crispy. And, having to make the fillings especially the mochi, it's arguably more labor intensive than a croissant so it's worth the cost. Plus, they're fairly large so easily shareable. I'm super basic so my fav was the plain red bean mochi; a good balance of savory sweetness with crisp flaky layers. Next fav, was the pork floss and mung bean which was savory, sweet, and nutty with a meaty umami. My least fav was the red bean, mochi, salted egg, and pork floss but only because the combo was too salty for me.S H E L F L I F EI asked the lady how long the Bǐngs are good for and she said, 7 days. "My SO wanted to stop by this quaint bakery to get me a birthday cake. He got the mango mousse cake and it is so beautiful, I loved the way they decorated the cake and it was so soft, fluffy and not sweet--which is my ideal taste for desserts. I ate practically a 1/3rd of the cake haha. Some friends also got some cookies and those were tasty as well. They had nice textures and consistencies and were lightly flavored since I am someone that typically avoids cookies."
"Lil' Wayne dedicated his songs to a milli(E) a milli(E) cakes. I was so excited to try this place out but I was slightly disappointed.:: Cake ::. Strawberry Millie Crepe $14: it LOOKED very good, the colors were very pink, and it seemed very yummy. However, the slice we got was half frozen. Millie crepes cakes are layers of smooth silky cream sandwiched between thin layers of crepe. My slice was not enjoyable as it was frozen in between. We ate these in store. .:: Service / Ambiance / Parking ::.Self order at kiosks. Cakes arrived shortly after. The place was cute and minimal. About 4-5 tables inside. Parking was easy as with most of San Mateo. Street parking or garage available."
"This is such a cute little bakery with the nicest women running the shop! went gluten free a few months ago and I've been struggling to find gluten free dessert options that actually taste good. This bakery has some great gluten free options! I've tried their macarons on a previous visit, but that first time I came they were sold out of the other gluten free pastries because they were sold popular. This time I was able to snag one of the lemon merengue tarts and a red berry marscapone cake. I'm saving the red berry cake to eat for Valentine's Day tomorrow, but I couldn't wait to dig into the lemon meringue tart. It's sweet, tangy, and the fluffy meringue balances it all out very well. I will definitely be back"
"The dipped strawberries that Nisha made were not only beautiful, they tasted AMAZING. Juicy berries with delicious coating. I also loved that she included little edible marshmallows in between the berries too. These were a huge hit at a socially distanced event - the personalized details (gold flaked hearts?? Little mini flowers and pearls?? Matcha flavor??) were so impressive that they ended up being a conversation topic too. She is super friendly too - will order again!"
"Wifi is alright, the drink is average, and the bakery items are above average. For a study pass, it's not that good, but it's a nice place to catch up with some friends."
