"I was in the neighborhood and I had to drop by Dittmer's.Happy 45th birthday Dittmer's!Just had time for a quick dash inside Dittmer's today to pick up a little something. They re-organized the store and I like it. It's a lot easier to find stuff because they've grouped like items with like. Found some cool new items - the smoked cheddar - that I haven't seen before and I had to try it. Then I picked up my old standby smoked ham hocks and was off.Customer service was cheerful and pleasant and they were handing out some spices to celebrate their 45th birthday.Parking was tight as usual, but as usual someone left just as I rolled inStore hours are 9 to 4 Tuesday thru Saturday. Closed Sunday and Monday. The sandwich bar is still closed due.to Covid."
"Just a 10 min. walk from my apartment. I came here on a whim and decided to make birria. I didn't know where anything was other than your basic produce and meat but I was new to their dried peppers. They have so many different kinds. What was nice is that I asked a few customers if they can help me search for some things and they pointed me to the right section. They do have personnel in front to ensure all customers have their mask on and keep a line outside if the store reach its capacity. Though we all hate this but no way around it unless we do this together."
"Master butcher is very conveniently located beside one of the most famous Indian grocery stores in the bay area, Apna Bazaar and fulfills all our cut meat requirements and meets all expectations. They have cooked food ready to go in store as well as online and have a very easy online ordering sytem. Ordering raw curry cut chicken (skin free) online is a breeze as opposed to standing in line in store and our order is always packed well. We usually order tandoori chicken and goat curry from here. We love their tandoori chicken and always request some extra charr on the chicken quarters and we get nothing short of excellent food. You can see Uncle ji making delicious tandoori chicken and naan in store and it always takes me back to when my family tandoored every weekend. We love bringing freshly frozen fish home from here. Rohu and Katla are native to bengal and they give absolutely fine quality cut fish bengali style for jhol (curry) and bhaja (fry). You select your fish from the freezer and they cut it for you the way you want it. We took 8 lbs Katla from them last week, marinated the pieces in small batches in turmeric and froze them. We just had to thaw each pack, apply a second marination of spices and fresh ginger-garlic and it was ready to fry and extremely juicy, tasty and fresh. Their fish isn't frozen for a very lengthy period of time and they do run out of it so we like to purchase it in bulk and enjoy. Their chicken mince is delicious. It's not just chicken breast minced in a processor but a very traditional mince with full flavor and texture. Our home made seekh kebabs are a a hit and we love getting mince from here and won't look elsewhere. Everyone here is friendly and they always welcome us smilingly. We visit Master butcher's twice every week and it has become a ritual, something I don't think we'll be giving up anytime soon."
"I thought this was a new Middle Eastern grocery in town, but learned recently that this is apparently the new location of a store a little further down El Camino. No problem, as this is much more convenient for me.This is a fine store carrying a variety of products from many, but not all, countries in the Middle East. Unlike a lot of similar stores which are cramped and difficult to navigate, this is pretty airy and spacious. There's a great selection of spices and other necessary ingredients to put together a good Mediterranean meal. We haven't purchased anything from the meat counter, which is small by comparison to other similar stores. There is a small counter of baked items, such as pita and lavash and this really large bread the name of which I don't know.Prices are about the same as other places, but sometimes not well marked on the products so it's a bit of a lottery when you're at the checkout stand. The service has been mixed - there's one guy who also seems cheerful, but there's at least one who seems annoyed by your presence when you walk through the door."

I was working on Lincoln Ave early one morning and caught a really good aroma that made me curious. My coworker asked what kinda burrito I wanted out of being spontaneous so I went with my usual al pastor. He came back with a brick wrapped in aluminum foil. This burrito was loaded with fresh ingredients and as long as my forearm. Instead of guacamole they use quarters of Avocado and I wont be the one to complain about it lol. The al pastor had good seasoning, no pineapple chunks but I prefer it without.I wouldnt drive from home to eat here but id go a few miles for this burrito again. Also the market is fairly clean and has a super old country market vibe.

We went out grocery shopping to neighbouring apna bazaar and saw a long line at this restaurant/ butcher shop. We thought of giving it a try for a quick meal pickup. We ordered it first and to-go, that way when we were done grocery shopping, the food would have been ready :) and it worked out pretty well!Small store/ restaurant with no indoor dining space. Friendly service. They do have tables set up outside incase u want to sit and grab a quick bite. They offer lots of quick meal combos and u can also order main dishes or kebabs as individual orders if u dont want the combo meals. In $32, we got:- goat curry - 3/5 - greasy, good quality meat, with bone but not a fan of their spice choices in this one. Towards the bland side so will try another dish next time.- lamb seekh kebab 3 pcs side order - 5/5- yummy, juicy, huge and filling. Spicy too :) paired perfectly with their breads- garlic naan 1 pc - 4.5/5 - yummy and fresh and spiced up too :) loved it!Definitely coming back for more!!

Delightfully fresh and exciting! I was pleasantly surprised to find the one of the most amazing produce departments in all of Sunnyvale, with equally fabulous prices to match! An exquisite sweet section, with a wide variety of Turkish delight, my absolute favorite indulgence.

I thought this was an Asian grocery store until I went inside. It's actually a Mexican grocery store. Even though it smelled bad when I first walked in there, I decided to see what they have there.I noticed that the meat there didn't look that fresh. And ice cream in pints are $7.99. I can find stuff like that on sale or for $4.99 at other stores usually. The parking lot there is small too. I didn't notice to many people in this store, so maybe there's a reason for that. I walked out of there after being there for a minute.

Was picking up some Mexican seafood to go....needed some salsa with it. While I was waiting for my food, walked over to the corner market. This place was packed with the Sunday crowd. So I waited till what I thought was "who's next?" I said I wanted to get some salsa in English.SO one of the staff answered me and he packed up my salsas....Salsa Verde and Salsa for Chips (haha). He said that the Salsa for Chips was the spicier one. And it cost me $3.87. What a deal!I did not look around the market. But from where I was standing, it was clean and orderly. The space was small but very well stocked.By the way....the salsas were both GOOD!

"This grocery store have good deals. I feel a little awkward, because I'm Asian. The workers here are friendly and helpful. The one thing I go here with my wife some times is good deals they have here. Pros:BigCleanCons:Homeless in front asking for money."
"Needed some drinks and veggies so stopped in at Arteaga's Food Center. This is the first time here and walking in the store it looked very nice and well stocked. The different areas looked clean and well maintained. Got what I needed and waited in line to be rung up. Employees were welcoming and helpful in pointing me to the items i needed. Will definitely return again if Im in the area."
