"The salmon penne was so good! It was creamy and savory and hot. The bread appetizer was so fresh, we well as the sole. Amazing service and friendly staff in a cozy Italian restaurant within West Portal."
"I've been to Curry Up Now, three times. Which is a surprise because I've been getting pizzas at New York Pizza for years. But myself and my mother "discovered" this little place one day on a walk when we couldn't decide what to eat. And we are so glad we did! We've ordered the big share platter. The Tikki Masala and Butter chicken are just chefs kiss. The naan bread is so warm and fresh out of the oven. We tried their chicken tacos for the first time yesterday and it's definitely going to be a dish that I order for future visits. My mom loves the mango yogurt drink. The very kind lady working the register (I forgot your name I'm so sorry) is always polite and helpful when trying to decide what to order. She gives us such a warm welcome when we visit. I recommend this place 100%. The food is fresh and you can tell they put effort and thought into their ingredient and dishes."

"Another great meal at Sugandh. We started with the complimentary pappadum with 3 dips. Then, our mains were chicken korma, butter chicken, lamb biryani, saag paneer and bhindi masala. We also had plain nan and basmati rice.We thought everything was flavorful without being too spicy hot. Service was excellent. We always enjoy seeing customers who look like they lived in India eating here."
"Unexpectedly surprised by this spot, had been here in the past when they first opened up and just thought of it as ok. BUT noowww though, yall better not walk and run that azz to your nearest Curry Up Now! The revamped menu from Chef Bikram is hittin with all the spices and flavors and I can guarantee there's something for everyone. Some heavy hitters for me were the:- Spicy fried chicken (that cilantro chutney cooked with them onions really made that sandwich)- Indian flatbread (never had something like this before, pleasantly surprised and would def order again)HOT TIP: this location is one that also has a bar, I had an early lunch there so I didn't wanna TU that early but that won't stop me next time LOLLService was great with that staff being very helpful in explaining all the dishes to me. Vibes def were there, I could see that being a nice spot to hit up after work with your coworkers."
"We always come back to this Ike's location. Prices are still good for what you get and the consistency of the sandwiches is what brings us back every time. The staff are always friendly and pick up is a breeze. Even when we have to wait a bit, it's because this location is packed which is a good thing others enjoy is as much as we do. We don't eat there but it's nice they offer tables for those that do or to sit and wait. We also love the loyalty cards they offer which keeps us coming back."

Hubs and I were out for a late dinner and we were craving Italian, so we decided on Spiazzo. It's been a while since we last visited. We started with the bread that is served with a pesto sauce ($1.75 for the bread service). It was ok, although I'd probably skip it next time. I ordered the gnocchi with oxtail ragout. I liked the texture of the gnocchi and the sauce was flavorful. Hubs ordered the spaghetti cacio e pepe - creamy and the goat cheese was subtle. Lots of spaghetti, so it was quite filling. I wanted the tiramisu and hubs went with the chocolate pot de creme. The tiramisu portion was generous and so good. I'd return just for that and coffee. The chocolate pot de creme is a treat for lovers of chocolate mousse.

Currently my favorite Indian restaurant in the Bay. We literally wiped our plates clean and left no crumbs. Super underrated hole in the wall, but food was 10/10. Tikka, Naan & chicken momos are to die for! To think our bill was also $39 for 2 people is unheard of.

I just so happened to sit next to the bar manager Brenden at Curry Up Now/Mortar & Pestle and he recommended the BEST drinks for my best friend and I. He personally crafted the recipe for a ginger & turmeric gin and tonic and a blue Hawaiian. Both were delicious and not too sweets. This is the perfect place for a pick me up. Definitely ask for Brenden the next time you come, he made our night.

I have been to this location three times and two out of the three I think I was helped by the Manager or one of the Owners. A very happy, friendly and welcoming guy. His positivity alone is worth 5 stars because you feel your business is appreciated and he enjoys interacting with customers. Even with a mask on (which I appreciate the health aspect) you feel his smile and joy.Ike's locations are hit and miss. This location gives generous portions and the rolls are fresh. My wife had a Spiffy Tiffy on a Dutch crunch roll and she said it is the best Ike's sandwich that she has enjoyed. I had the Steve Young on a soft roll and mine was pretty good too. I ate mine so fast I forgot I wanted to take a picture first. Definitely patronize this business for fresh, generous portions and friendly outstanding service.I live in the East Bay but will stop here on my way home when my wife or I crave an Ike's sandwich.

Family owned business, we come here regularly. We like this alternative to the big chain coffee shops. Outdoor and indoor seating. It's like a European shop. Great service, coffee and ambience!

We went for Saturday night dinner at around 6:30pm and there wasn't any wait. The service was amazing. The waiter always checked in with us throughout the meal and answered all of our questions. The inside was clean and a bit dim. The food was amazing. I highly recommend the Tea Leaf salad and the Lotus Chips! Those two dishes were super delicious.

Organic? Hormone-free? Grass-fed? Sign me up! Ordered the chicken saltimbocca, sea bass, and surf and turf. Food was well seasoned and delicious! For dessert, we had the profiteroles and it was the best cream puffs we've had. Decor was really cute and the service was superb. Perfect meal and experience.

"Such a cute spot in San Mateo!! Their piroshkis and empanadas were the perfect and tasty snack for my daughter and I. We paired them with an iced Mocha and their iced Matcha latte."
"Best Burmese restaurant I've ever been to--and I've been to many. Ambiance is also so lovely. This is the place to bring a date. Or family. Everyone will fall in love!"
"Orchestria Palm Court has always been a beloved and curious little restaurant for me. It's a well-known secret for historians and theatre goers in San Jose's SoFa District yet many people don't know about it. Most likely because the doors are only open for 2 days a week for less than 4 hours a day. The former 1910 auto showroom has been filled with a collection of antique musical machines including self-playing pianos, orchestrion, juke boxes and Violano-Virtuoso which is a remarkable self-playing violin and piano combo. I always felt like the co-owner Mark (an engineer) wanted to find a place for his collection and then decided to serve food. The food however is not a second thought. The menu that features grass-fed beef, free-range eggs, and real creamery butter. I can always taste the difference when well-chosen ingredients are used. We enjoyed the Chicken Saltimboca, Boeuf Bourguignon, Strawberry Salad & Key Lime Pie which was so good we ordered a second dessert their Profiteroles. They have an odd yet functional system whereas you come in and pick your own table then head to the back bar to put your order in and wait for it to arrive. The prices include service and tax and there is a busser who fills your glass and drops off your food. In the interim the other co-owner (a Veterinarian) runs the antique fountain bar whipping up cool concoctions such as the Huckleberry Fizz, Poppy Dew and Apricot Ambrosia. Good old-fashioned milkshakes and "mocktails" when were the flourishing during prohibition. In between his fountain duties he runs about firing up the many different musical machines. If you have hearing sensitivies do not sit near a piano because they are LOUD. When your done with your experience you go back to the bar to pay your meal. They will never rush you and want you to sit back and enjoy your time. No tipping is allowed as there are no waiters. Just a reminder, Orchestria Palm Court is open only on Friday and Saturday, from 5:30 to 9:00pm and you must get your order in by 7:40pm. Reservations are obviously recommended."
"Good eats if craving Korean food. Didn't want to spend too much. Surprised to see gluten- free meat option on the menu as most often meats are marinated in soy sauce. Extra wait 10 min for braised beef gluten free.Everything is fresh and the ban chan choices were plentiful to choose from.Only thing missing is japchae! Maybe it is in rotation."
"In a downtown, with a ramen or bubble tea shop on every block, it's nice to see an Indian inspired restaurant. I think if I went in with a more fast food mindset, I would have probably been a bit more satisfied with the meal. Sexy fries: The dish really didn't seem well thought out. The sweet potato fries were fine, but the paneer and sauce felt like it was just tossed on. Wouldn't recommend.Thali: we ordered with chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, and spinach paneer. I liked how there was different variety, but the flavors of the dishes fell a bit flat. I wished the naan was chewier instead of a pita texture.Haaka noods: If you think of a standard Chinese chow mein, you'll get a decent idea for it tastes. Samosa: The best dish we ate. The pastry was hot and crispy and curried potatoes were tasty. Mango lassi: comes in a bottle so not sure if it is made fresh. Tasted fine. All in all, they try to go for a modern "cool" vibe feel, but the dishes, aside from the samosa, fell flat."
"OMFG DELISH! First experience with Ethiopian food and I was so pleasantly surprised - but also who am I kidding I wasn't expecting any less. We originally were going to get the Zuckerberg but I really wanted to try the lamb tib and my boyfriend wanted to try the chicken doro wat. We ended up ordering the original as a compromise. Amazing service from all the waitresses here. If you check in you get a whole veggie side. I forgot what it was called but it was a side mushroom dish. Super savory and cooked so well. Definitely love our combo. We came once the restaurant reopened for the evening so everything came out piping hot. It was such a huge portion for two people that you can for sure bring one more person to share everything. We left with leftovers for the next day. Will definitely be back!"
