"I luckily won a bottle service for Opal Social Club giveaway on Instagram! I recommend checking their Instagram for events and giveaways that are happening. They have a few deals like the $5 Cazadores shot deals on Fridays and alcoholic boba happy hour from 9-10 PM! Besides Cazadores shots and champagne, I tried the Bootea Me Down SIP Alcoholic Boba (Mango Green Tea + Tequila) and it was pretty good! You can't really taste the alcohol in the drink, but it is very sugary/sweet. I think I would've liked this as a regular mixed drink and take out the boba! The honey boba was chewy, and surprisingly well for it being at a nightclub. My first thought after leaving the club was that the service here is amazing! All the workers were very attentive and made my girl group feel safe! This would be a great spot for those who want to go out but not go into a super crowded club. My only concern about this place is that the bathrooms are pretty nasty. Like "I'll wait to go home and use the restroom" or worse than a gas station nasty. It made me wonder what the cleanliness maintenance is for the nightclub."
"Do not need to be a Stanford student or alum to join in on their classes and dancing. They also have specialty events during the year, like their All Night dance in May, Swing and Waltz week and weekend in July. The second Friday of the month is their Jammix dance, the dance is well attended, over 200-300 dancers. http://dance.stanford.edu/
It is a bit chaotic because there could be 3-5 different styles of dance going on the dance floor to one song...the energy and creativity is amazing. They are not as structured/strict as a commercial ballroom studio, where everyone is dancing the same dance and following the line of dance. Gets hot in the summer but no one seems to care, they are too busy dancing and expressing themselves."
"I hear a lot about this place and decided to check it out the number of bad reviews , these are the places love to go and check out for myself First ,it's a club. Not a high end restaurant or venue I found the staff to be extra cool , ya if you sitting in reserved and it ain't for you. They going to move you. You act up it's a club , lot going on not a lot of time to talk it out Drinks were fair pours and I don't think other who mention rotating prices were wrong , but didn't happen to my group. Bartender , cool as hell and funny while making the pours Now as for Freddy , we looked for and talked to him , since so many dig on his management. We didn't have lots of time but funny guy , seemed like a guy trying to run a club and all going on If you want 5 star catered service or prefer the Ritz sky bar Enso not for you. Casual , not sure what will happen next ,fun people ,fair pours and good music is your vibe. Then this worth going"
"I have tried a handful of times to come to the social but only succeeded twice. Why? Because it seems to always be booked out! Call in advance to check their availability. Anyways, this is a fun place to come with friends or as a date night - both on which I did and had a wonderful time. We rented a bowling lane and played some of the arcade games.Food and drinks were good. Drinks are unique which is always fun. Service was friendly and attentive, and our orders came out in a timely manner. I will be back :)"
"My friend's art event was taken place here last Thursday. Venue was pretty cool- I think there was 3 different rooms. I enjoyed the artworks that was featured there. Music was great with remixes. Found parking on the street fairly easy."
"Not sure if I would be too into the crowds and music here on the weekend. But my mid-week visit was fun and chill. RubberSoul (hip hop, soul, and rnb) is apparently on Wed nights... think music like Paperboy's Ditty (yes, that one made my night!) The drinks were strong, the bartenders and DJ's were friendly, the crowd was carefree, respectful, and just having a good time... not overbearing in numbers, but not dead and empty, which is a great balance. The place was clean, with cool colored lighting, comfy lounge seating in the back (though barely used on a Wed night), and a small dance area with a couple TV screens.Great spot to enjoy a couple drinks and some good music, especially on a Wed (for me), where I got to enjoy some old school hits in beautiful downtown Campbell :)"
"Came here last night (Friday) with a friend and had a lot of fun! The other reviews were right about a lot of the guys wearing cowboy hats and that it is definitely a Mexican club (live banda!) We got there around 11 and there was no line, inside there were a decent amount of people but it wasn't crowded. The dance floor was usually packed with just enough people that you have space to dance with a partner, but you will still bump into others. The music was good, not great but good. Maybe it's just because my friend and I like to dance slower songs, but we did sit out a couple of the live songs. The DJ could've done better, maybe play some merengue classics (everyone likes Elvis Crespo) but he just kept playing pop mashups that were just not as fun to dance to, mostly bc they're not really meant for a partner. Drinks were really expensive, we got two coronas and with tip it came out to $15! That could maybe be reasonable for something on tap but for just 2 bottles...eh. On the plus side I think there were 4(?) bars inside so it didn't take long to get drinks (oh and it's cash only, I think there's an ATM inside)Overall I did have fun, though maybe it was the company, I really liked that it wasn't as hot as other places I've gone dancing. For the first time in forever I was able to leave my hair down! And if we did want to take a break and talk for a little bit we could go outside where it was quiet and cool."
"How is this place packed every week? Like be forreal! LOL For starters, it's SO hot because they have no AC. To make matters worse, the bathrooms are right next to the stage. Which means you have to pass EVERYONE in the crowd, literally fighting for your life just to make it there. But you do get a *complete sarcasm* great view of all the men doing their business in the bathroom while you're waiting to go pee. So invasive! I'm not sure who approved this floor plan but my 5 year old cousin could build a better design on Minecraft. I would've given this place zero stars but the bartenders were so nice so they're the only ones who get any recognition. Anyways, I recommend going here if you're looking to lose some weight since you get a great sauna effect. Or if you're in the mood to test your fight or flight response! Till never Maya nightclub! "Good bar food, especially the pizza. We come here often for office happy hours...it's big enough. Good seating space, not too cluttered. Well organized. Good for any size group - small or even large groups.Good selection of cocktails and food to please all pallets. I am a vegetarian and always find plenty of options to please my very picky taste buds. Service is good as well...friendly and efficient.Portion size are good for sharing.Nice place overall! Not extraordinary, but good enough...especially for big groups.Good value for money.Looking forward to visiting again soon!"

Summary: overpriced drinks and bad crowd. Sad to report that this is NOT the same Opal nightclub that I used to remember & used to love.Way different post-pandemic. I understand they are under different management. The crowd is SO young. And drinks are way overpriced! I went on their grand re-opening weekend (last Saturday night) and it was not that much fun. I was disappointed. Music was way too loud & lacked variety.I arrived early before 9:00 pm to avoid the cover charge. The crowd was way too causally dressed. Saw some people even in sweats (what happened to the dress code?) I admit I was more casual than usual that evening (black jeans, black heels, & a cute tank top) -- it was cold. In the past, I would definitely wear a mini dress with high heels or whatever. But back to the review...So I go to the bar to order a shot for my friend & I (we like kamikaze shots because they're more light than say, a tequila shot) and the bartender is like, "we don't make those here." She did not offer to make me something similar- like a lemondrop or something? So I order two vodka cranberrys instead... it was like $17 each! Or maybe $18? - trying to remember my credit card charge. That is way overpriced! After tipping that comes out to almost $20 for a drink? No thanks. I will definitely NOT be returning here.

You know, my whole life people tell me I'm pretty coordinated, I have a bit of rhythm, I should take a dance class. So I signed up for waltz. Ah, to be like Fred & Ginger, gliding across the floor. I'd even settle for Belle and the Beast actually...So I show up for the first class. Me and like 60 other people. Actually, maybe 80 people. The teacher was way late, like 30 minutes late. They separated the men and women. They showed the men how to do the step, and the women were just supposed to internalize that and do it backwards without hardly ever showing them how to do it. Then we paired up, in a long line, and would rotate partners. Of course, since I was like six rows back and couldn't even see the steps they taught, let alone flip them around in my head to do it backward, I started messing up. If you mess up when everyone is dancing in a line, you mess everyone up. My partner (a stranger)started yelling at me. It was awful.I decided to drop the class. Too many people, not enough instruction. The club told me classes booked online have no refunds. Now they tell me!So if anyone wants my $50 credit...

A cute little place to hang out with friends!I never knew it existed until now.Security is very tight, which is nice (but also a tad alarming). The food was great and tasty and they have a ton of beers of tap as well as cocktails to choose from. The service was unfortunately awful. And at some point of the night they turned up the music to a deafening rate. The place didn't have many people and we were all just chilling enjoying conversations when the booming music came on, so that was a major turn off. I think they should just read the room during those times.

Live band playing until 9:55pm or so and then a DJ takes over at 10pmThe live band today Phunk Pharmacy was awesome, funk/jazz play list. Got the crowd going easy listening. Great time!Look as though they did some remodeling. New pictures, lights over the bar and disco lighting. Bar is small and they do charge 4% credit card charge but I didn't know it until I closed my tab.Oh, Just don't sit in the back of the place. Men's bathroom door stays open and the light is glaring, watching men go in and out without closing the door the smell could be gross! They must have forgotten the self closing door during the remodel like the women's bathroom has. *** No one knows how to close a door! ****

We came to see FLEX recently. He didn't perform until midnight as most performers. Positive:They have two separate bars serving each section (VIP and Basic), so you always have a choice of which bar to get drinks at if you pay for the VIP only. The line to get drinks is usually short and sometimes empty. They also have female waitresses walking around and asking you if you would like drinks, so that's a plus if you don't wish to walk to the bar. They have tables available and even a separate private area in case you come with a group. Now, I am unaware of the pricing for those services. The security is always walking around, making sure no one is getting out of hand, which was a good thing. I did notice the carry guns, though, making me wonder how dangers it is there to have to need guns. They have coat check available which is a big plus for usNegative:The entire building has no air conditioning. They have small fans mounted to the balcony, and sometimes you can feel it if you are close to them. It gets very packed so it will get hot very fast. The drinks are a bit pricey compared to other small venues. We have two shots and a corona, which came to $60.00. When we asked for a cranberry chaser, we were charged $5.00. This was ridiculous to us.There is no set parking lot for you to park. You will be stuck parking in the street and good luck finding parking anywhere close by.The dress code is listed as a casual dress code, including no running shoes, no regular shirts, no hats, no sports memorabilia, and no shorts. We'll we seen all of that inside. Which made me upset as if I wore shorts. I probably would not have been that hot.Bathrooms are located at the entrance of the building only. Overall impressions were that this is not a suitable place for us to return as it does not fit our tastes. I am sure other people find it enjoyable. But you can make your own decision on that.

"A fantastic place to lindy hop, located in a community center's dance studio. The dancers are typically intermediate to advanced but as long as you know how to do a decent swing-out as a follower, people tend to be pretty accommodating. After paying $8 at the door and dropping off my bag on one of the chairs on the edge of the dance floor, I struck up a conversation with the other dancers, typically regulars of this place. Everyone was friendly and open to both asking and being asked to dance. The full length mirrors and floorboards helped a lot too. Overall, a great spot to dance that I will return to when I'm in the area!"
"What: This weekly dancing has been around for the past 20+ years. I remember coming here when I was 13 years old (20 years ago) with my aunt and uncle and of course being the youngest one here with the average age of attendees being 40 years old. 20 years later...I come here and it hasn't changed at all. Still an older crowd. How: Inside is like a big gym like being at a high school dance haha. Outside parking like you're parking at high school and walking in to go to PE. You can go on the website for a calendar of what dance they're teaching for that week. Overall: A-OK in my book...it's definitely not a spot for a crazy night out and you will feel out of place if you're any younger than 40 years old. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but that's the reality of the population that frequents this venue."
"There's no food, but they do allow outside food. I asked since we were celebrating a birthday and I wanted to bring cupcake bites. I emailed and they replied in a timely and kind manner. Service is attentive and kind here. Drinks are delicious, creative and festive. Our regular day to frequent the Vinyl Room is Wednesdays for karaoke! So the ambiance is always chill, encouraging, and fun!"
"I went to this club last night and it was fun. It was free to get in, and $5 a drink. Security was nice, and I felt like I was in México again. I recommend this place for people who want a real taste of Mexico and it's cultures."
"Our friends brought us out for the birthday weekend and we loved the atmosphere! Drinks were fairly priced as well!!"
"this is honestly such a cute local spot and there's a lot of people within the area and neighbors that come and hang out there - which made it so homey/cozy vibes. i stopped by recently and really enjoyed my visit. the bartenders were so fun and i had a great time interacting with them/the drinks they made were also really good! if you're in the area, definitely stop by and grab a drink or two!!"
"I had never been here before and did not realize it overlooked a golf course until I arrived. We came for lunch, and the server warned us she was alone. We opted to stay anyway. As it turned out, she took fine care of us, and we had no long waits. Unfortunately, they were out of several things on the menu, including what my husband and I had intended to order. So he settled for a hamburger, and I ordered the pork loins. We each got side salads, which were good-sized. They gave you a choice of dressing and it featured a decent variety of items. The pork loins were over-cooked, but the gravy was tasty. The scalloped potatoes were okay, but I'd have preferred au gratin. My husband expressed doubt that the burger patty had been a full half-pound as listed on the menu since he finished it. Of course, maybe he was just hungry. :)"
"I love coming here for the dance lessons with Pantea. She is a wonderful teacher and fosters a fun nonjudgmental environment. It is $10 cover per person. Overall the venue is not super upscale but it is clean and well lit (until it is social dancing time). Usually there are much more men than women but I always leave learning something new. Drinks are priced for the area but a little liquid courage is nice. I think it is a fun social activity and for that 5 stars."
"Great vibes, friendly people, cool people overall! Karaoke is fun on weekend nights!Came with friends that live around the area and will be back!"
"The owner Pierre who was handsomely dressed as Elvis Presley, was very gracious and gave me some bday drinks and my guests as well Live band great up beat dancing music DJ as well great music We danced and we enjoyed ourselves Atmosphere was really really nice. The staff was really friendly. Really enjoyed ourselves Definitely be back again thank you all at Miami Beach for making my experience my bday a very nice one ‼Evee‼"
"Definitely have had many fun nights at splash. Drinks are cheap, music is fun and the crowd is generally pretty nice. Just a tip-- they only take cash for cover. Bring about 20 per person on busy nights, like halloween."
"Always an amazing time with great DJs coming through. If you're into EDM, this is THE place to check out in the South Bay. They bring some awesome names who throw down. The service is always prompt and friendly. Shout out to Billy who is my go to bartender every time. If you have a birthday or special reunion with friends, getting a table always elevates the experience and a great way to reconnect with your people. Great place and I'm always wondering who they will bring next."
"Used to stop by to see a friend or two who hung out here . Bar is nice dance floor small but couples like it a lot . Good Bands have come through here over the decades Woman and her boyfriend who used to run it ions ago and lived on California street in willow glen were super friendly with me . This is a kiss me outside even tofu we just met kinda old school love nest. Been here for 35 years Part of the " course" of places you check into when carousing Los Gatos"
"Although it didn't seem busy for a Friday, it's a whole vibe! Not many know about this place yet but it's worth checking out if you like Latin music. The DJ was playing my favorite reggaeton songs. The ambiance is nice with plenty of seating arrangements and cool flashing lights. They have banda music & bottle service available."
