Love this place. The food is good, staff is friendly, restaurant is clean and pleasant My only criticism, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, not enough garlic and herbs in the sauce. The vegetarian dishes I've tried area little bland for my taste. A little more garlic, oregano, and basil and it would jump to excellent

Update valentines evening, What is going on here?Came in and was seated. Orders were placed. And food came out not in a timely manner, they should have more staff for evening service. Had the steak and the wife had the salmon with capers. Dessert was the tiramisu. Service was lack luster from the Asian waiter. Frank who was busing tables and filling water was on point. Wednesday afternoon around 3:00, came in and asked for take for two, place was empty except a trio of HS kids sitting doing homework, Place was nice and clean, they turned on the house lights made everything brighter, Ordered some appetizers and bread was toasted and brought to the table, olive oil and balsamic vinegar where on the table, Delicious appetizers Calamari with the red sauce was just waiting for the bread to soak in all the flavors.Gnocchi with pesto lovely my buddy polished his plate, sea linguine with white wine sauce really done well. The bottle of Chianti made everything perfect . No room for dessert

My business partner and I were in town for just a few hours. Since he's Italian that was going to be our lunch pick for the day . We had to find something fairly close to the SF airport so I relied on my fellow Yelpers for some ideas. The choice was Bolare and it's only about 15 minute drive to SFO. It was late lunch around 2:30 when we arrived. This little mom n' pop restaurant is tucked back in a small strip center. There weren't any other customers there when we arrived. I noticed it's a clean and orderly restaurant when we walked in. Nice addition was the tv's tuned to sports over the bar.We had two cold beers right off the bat. I was impressed with the very cold bottle and just as cold glass. Nice touch. I ordered Caesar salad for an appetizer and he ordered the bruschetta. I really enjoyed my salad. A little pricey but pretty good salad. He liked his bruschetta well.I had the fettuccine with chicken and he ordered gnocchi. The plates came out and looked good. The food was piping hot as well. I enjoyed my lunch. It was good. Nothing extraordinary or life changing. Not sure but didn't taste like homemade pasta. The chicken was slightly over cooked and didn't have a lot of seasonings. My buddy said he enjoyed the gnocchi but it wasn't the best he's ever had. Overall a good place. A little over priced for the quality.

Had an early dinner here with a group of 10 and everyone loved their dishes. I wasn't too hungry, so I only ordered the minestrone soup, but it was very good. All the other dishes looked amazing, from the pizzas to the pastas. It's a 5 star for me because of the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to help us take group pictures, engage in banter, give complimentary second glasses of wine to the wine drinkers, and fast service in supplying everything our group needed, from extra napkins to refills of water. They even allowed us to have individual checks! Loved all this! I'll have to go back and try some of their pizzas and pastas!

I was skeptical about this place before, but after dining here, I now know to trust my instincts.Came here for lunch with a friend, and there wasn't one person. Bad sign. In the 1 hour we were there, still no one and no takeout orders. There's the Mexican flag and Spanish television playing at this Italian restaurant. I don't care about that. What I do care about is the failure to communicate. Our bread was burnt, and it was impossible to get new bread or to get cream and sugar for my coffee. The waitress didn't seem to understand what I was asking for.My coworker's fettuccine Alfredo pasta was just cheap regular Safeway pasta with a weird cream sauce and meatballs. It tastes as bad as it looks. 1 star. After seeing his dish, I ordered the fish. The fish was 3 stars average. The potatoes were undercooked, and the fish was overcooked. The calamari appetizer was just some spicy canned tasting sauce with little calamari. 3 stars. The best thing was the Caesar Salad. It was 4 stars. My coffee didn't taste fresh even though I asked multiple times to please brew a fresh pot and not use the one sitting there. I wanted to trust her, but I could taste the sad burnt flavor.I can't see this place surviving in the future if they don't lower their prices, improve their cooking, and improve on their service.

Truly shocking that this place isn't more crowded than it is. Pasta is delicious, pizza is extremely scrumptious, the price is greatly priced. It's an old school vibe so don't expect to be blown away by the establishment but if you're looking for a nice lovely evening with good Italian food, it's a must try. A Family joint.

This is a takeaway review. I recently got the lasagna and gnocchi for a takeout dinner. My partner and I will both very pleasantly surprised and loved each dish. The food was well packaged and tapped nice and warm, despite a small delay in our timing to pick it up. The location of this restaurant is in a little strip mall with a Safeway grocery store and a Rite Aid, not quite sure if many folks venture over here to dine in. I hope this place sticks aroun-, I love having a nice go-to place for takeout, and perhaps dining in one day! We'll definitely order from here again and recommend to others. Can't wait to try the other pastas and pizzas on their menu!

Small Italian eatery in the Fairmont Plaza mall, northern Pacifica. Serving pasta and pizzas, amid table-clothed settings with a small alcove for semi-private dining. You're warmly greeted, offered a menu since I was taking out. Ordered:MISTA SALAD. Organic spring mix, carrots, celery, and tomatoes dressed in a balsamic vinaigrette. Basic fresh salad. Would order again. MARGHERITA PIZZA. Mozzarella Cheese, tomato sauce, fresh tomatoes, basil. Not an artisan pizza but hits the spot!BOLARE PIZZA. Their signature pizza w/pepperoni, sausage & olives. Really liked this one!SPAGHETTI & MEATBALLS. This is a litmus test for me in Italian eateries. I was taken aback at the small amount of sauce w/meatballs over a mount of spaghetti. But when I dug in, bite of meatball, spaghetti, sauce it was actually unexpectedly the perfect amount per bite. Who knew? You can probably ask for more sauce if it bothers you. Sauce was good, meatballs light, tasty so win-win as I'll order again. Great spot for a quick lunch or those nights after a long day where the last thing you want to do is cook. Check out Bolare for their salads, tasty pastas and comfy pizzas. Plenty of parking in the mall.

Authentic and absolutely delicious. Best place to get your pasta fix in the Colma area and you can walk it off by the beach in a short drive. Wish I lived closer, might be good that I don't because I would eat wayyyyy too much pasta. I got the pappardelle and my friend the gnocchi, and it was all so legit in flavor and texture. I was very surprised and my Italian heart was elated!Could be a very romantic spot to take your date too or just to get some yumminess to go. The place isn't huge but a good enough size for a medium group or two. Great quick service too with a small but great wine selection. Glad Yelp guided me here! Grazie!

Pizza is a pretty competitive market, and I would say that I have fairly high standards. Considering the neighborhood area, this is probably the best spot. They have choices as well with pastas and entrees. Decent location at Fairmont, so parking is available. Tables inside, but I usually get it to go since we live close by. Friendly service, although the wait for food is just average, and pretty good value for the size of the slices. A little bit of the NY-style; average size crust and thin in the middle with ample amount toppings. Not as good as my fav spots (Outta Sight or Damn Fine), but in the area, I'd say the best.
