Bobby D's Cocktail Lounge & Sports Bar

Pretty fun dive bar in downtown Redwood City. It's a few blocks away from the main areas with all the restaurants and shops. We had time before dinner for a quick drink.Stopped by another time to play Bullshooter darts with some friends and to enjoy the live music on a Friday night. They require a license as deposit for a cup of darts. The machine has all the classic and some newer dart games and was only a few bucks. I didn't catch the name of the awesome band but they were playing all the 70s and 80s classics.

So my friends and I decided to stop by at Bobby D's for a couple of drinks prior to the New Year's celebration. As soon as we came in, we noticed that Natalie was working! We were exited to see her back at Bobby's as she is always such a great bartender to us and great positive attitude. She made us feel welcomed and decided to stay at Bobby's to complete the New Year's celebration. We had a great time and always good to see Natalie!

My power was a few years ago.I walked in, and have never felt more unwelcomed or more uncomfortable in a bar , other than Teĵuana, in my life.I live a few blocks away.Great Karoke spot Go see 4 yourself

Great place to have fun ! A cool band was playing 70s tunes ! Had a great time. Natalie kept the drinks coming !

I used go here for years,but some new hires take advantage of the inebriated, if you look a little inebriated they charge you more for drinks. Please beware.

Wow. Not sure where to begin with this one. So, I just got released from the Redwood City jail on some bogus frottage charges. I mean, the train was really crowded that day! If you want, you can go read my review on the jail...let's just say the other guests weren't as hospitable as you may have heard...I still can't walk right. And don't get me started on the food...you call that meatloaf chef?! Anyway, I limp across the street to have an espresso martini cuz let me tell you, daddy needed it. As I stand at the bar (I still can't sit down cuz of the swelling) I am first greeted by a gentleman with more fingers on one hand than the other (and less in his mouth). He asked me if I think God had anything to do with Dale Earnhardt's death. I told him I don't follow football and he left. Then this gorgeous drink slinger by the name of Natalie came over and introduced herself. Boy was she a breath of fresh air. I then asked her what was the lunch special for the day. She informed the chef was on vacation so I had to settle for bowl of freshly popped popcorn. I then ordered my drink and it was delicious. Natalie sure can tend a bar. Then a nice gentleman approached me wearing two hats and asked, "Do you hate people?" I said No! I don't hate them...I just feel better when they're not around." But enough about the barflys. Let's praise Natalie shall we. She was back there handling business like it was nobody's business. Umm... except the business owner. She was handling his business like it was nobody ELSES business! She was bar backing, trash packing, and pint stacking! She was on a roll back there! Long story short...Come on down to Bobby D's!

I usually don't write reviews, but my experience here was so frustrating, I had to share. The bartender, Brenda was awful. The whole time I was there, she was glued to her phone, barely even acknowledging customers. I had to wait forever to get her attention, and when I did, it felt like I was interrupting her personal time. She was super dismissive and honestly acted like she couldn't care less about being there. I understand people need breaks, but when you're on the clock, you should at least make an effort to engage with the people who are paying for drinks. A regular sitting next to me yelled her name and then she snapped at him but that's how I got her name. Definitely won't be coming back if she's working. There are plenty of other places where the bartenders actually seem to care.

I'm never going to forget how they let some old lady from Florida who looked like Peggy Hill run her mouth and make other people uncomfortable for the entire night. I remember seeing a young man sit next to her and she gave him the stare of death, it looked like she was ready to shout slurs at him but then the men she rounded up distracted her. Clearly they let anyone be problematic in there. Goodbye

This is my favorite bar in Redwood City! It's always so much fun, I love that they have the Juke box so you can play your own music, and the different options for games. The bartender Natalie is always so sweet and makes the best cocktails! When ever we go to one of the other bars in Redwood city we always end up changing our minds and walking straight here because the vibe is always so much better. Huge thank you to Natalie for always making this place a blast!
