Bernal Bagel & Donut

Selection was minimal, lady was extremely rude and abrasive, donuts were terrible. Not even a second after walking up to the counter she was rushing me and my two kids to make a selection. I had to ask her to relax and give us a minute. Went here to get away from Stan's long line but instantly regretted that. Avoid this place at all costs.

I do not expect anything fancy or five star service when I come in to a donut shop. I don't expect to be snapped at or have eyes rolled at me either. I came in to quickly grab some breakfast and started to ask for croissant breakfast sandwich. I wasn't able to finish my sentence before the cashier cut me off and told me I have to order by number. As I tried to correct myself, she was already yelling to the cook what I ordered. I quickly added that I wanted sausage instead of bacon since I didn't get to finish my sentence. She rolled her eyes and told me the total and walked away to correct the cook. Once she said the total and walked away I assumed it was my turn to pay. I tried tapping my card to the card reader while she was away and she goes "you're so impatient!" I apologized and waited for my food. It came out super quick but I felt super awkward as I waited. As for the food, croissant was pretty dry and not flakey. Still got bacon instead of sausage. Also, the price advertised was not what I was charged. Will not be back.

This place has been open for as long as I can remember... back in high school, my mom would treat my sister and me to their delicious croissant sandwiches once a week for lunch. While I am no longer living in the area, I always make the effort to stop by when I am visiting family and friends!I am a big fan of their croissant sandwiches. I ordered their vegetarian croissant sandwich without cheese around 12:50pm on a Monday. It was absolutely delicious! They even gave my sister and me a free donut hole. So sweet (literally)! Highly recommend getting this local family run business a try!

I love coming here before or after work. Their sandwiches are freshly made. The staff is friendly. I've been going here for the last 15 years. I usually come in the the morning and the bagels are warm and ready to go.

I love their sandwiches, especially the BLTs. The food is good and fresh, but a little bit on the small size for the price.

Bagels were very nice and warm and the cheese was really good too. We got the Vietnamese coffee which was also nice.

DO NOT COME IF YOU HAVE A CHILD WITH ANY TYPE OF SENSORY NEEDS OR AUTISM. THE OLDER LADY WILL YELL AT YOUR KIDS. my brother of 7 years old has autism and one of his sensory needs he taps on hard surfaces with his palm and my mom was trying to stop him and the older Asian lady yelled at him and when my mom apologized and explained his condition, she shrugged and was so apathetic, even with my mother apologizing. My father originally had shown us this place when he moved here to Santa Clara in 2006, but after this experience we won't be coming back at all. She's always had an attitude and condescending tone which we just chalked up to her age, but after this it's just clear she's inconsiderate with no understanding of costumer service or empathy.

This place is something altogether. Customer service was poor and I did not feel welcomed, even as a regular customer! I kindly mentioned the sandwich tasted a bit odd today and she rudely told me off. It ruined my day! I enjoyed their sandwiches but after this incident, I'm not coming back.
