This is the lady that verbally assaulted me and threw money at me, shame on this behavior for an owner

Not very happy with the service and how long everything took. It took 20 minutes just to order food and another almost 30 minutes to just get one dish out. We asked multiple times to see if the food was ready and they just ignored us, extremely rude.Food was really mediocre and they only gave a few pieces of meat. Even if the food was great, it's not worth that long of wait, especially since there wasn't really anyone in line. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Unfriendly and Rude. They accept cash only but if you MUST inconvenience them to make a VenMo transaction, they'll accept it but charge you a dollar more. Banh cuon was alright but their fried shrimp cakes pale in comparison to other restaurants. Resorted to eating here only because the best banh cuon restaurant (Banh Cuon Tay Ho) was closed a few days leading up to Tet. The unwelcoming lady working behind the counter never uttered a word of thanks for giving her business. Her attitude was just plain dismissive and miserable. They get 1 star because I have to and the Banh cuon was decent.

3.5 STARSWhen I first started yelping...Anything less than 4 stars, I wouldn't visit. At least, not by choice. Until I learned, I was doing it all wrong. For certain restos, particularly Chinese and Viet, 3-3.5 star rating is what I should be looking for....complete with scolding, scoffs, side eye, and staff yelling at each other like scorned lovers...Where food takes centerstage, and customer service and atmosphere take a backseat. BUT, a 2.5 star rated eatery?!Worse case scenario....a free detox! J/k. Bánh Cuốn Thiên Hương is a food stall inside Lion Plaza Food Court. Yes, they currently have 2.5 stars on Yelp but they've been in the food court for as long as I can remember (2+ decades?) but was FKA as Cháo Vịt Thiên Hương. I mean, some businesses barely make it a year so they must be doing something right! They're open for takeout and dine-in only. Indoor and outdoor seating (dog-friendly). No delivery. M E N UNorthern & Southern Vietnamese Specialty Dishes - Bánh Cuốn (rice noodle rolls), Cháo (porridge), Cơm Tấm (broken rice), Hủ Tiếu (noodle soup, pork based broth), and Bún (cold vermicelli bowl). Everything is under $17. Tax included in listed prices. Free hot tea for dine-in. Cash only! The menu is in Viet with no English translations and the staff doesn't speak English so you have to write the menu item # on a sticky note for them. F O O D#18 Bánh Cuốn Đặc Biệt: Combo Rice Noodle Rolls ($16): https://tinyurl.com/55esa8j8* Bánh Cuốn--Plain (Bánh Ướt)--Ground Shrimp (Plain noodle rolls garnished w/ fine grounded shrimp)--Ground Pork & Wood Ear MushroomsThe Bánh Cuốn was great. Freshly made, smooth and delicate with an elastic chew. It was thin and translucent with no tears so you know they've got the technique + skill down solid. My fav of the three was the Bánh Cuốn with savory ground pork & wood ear mushroom filling but they were all good. The sides/toppings are where things went sideways...Starting with the positives:* Chả Lụa: Steamed Pork RollFirm, mild pork flavor. * Chạo Tôm: Sugarcane ShrimpSoft and savory shrimp paste with a sweetness from the sugarcane.* Rau Trộn: Blanched bean sprouts, cucumber, chopped cilantro + mintCrisp veggies + herbs for a fresh bite. And, the not so good:* Bánh Giá: Shrimp Cracker w/ whole shelled shrimp* Chả Giò: Fried Spring Roll* Bánh Cống: Mung Bean Fritter* Dâu Rán: Fried TofuAll the aforementioned fried components were stale and/or soggy. I know these items are usually cooked ahead of time but I wished they would consider keeping these items under a heat lamp to retain some texture. The accompanying nước chấm: fish dipping sauce was salty, sweet, and tangy. Good funk, not watered down. S E R V I C EPrompt service with a smile. Maybe I caught them on a good day but I didn't experience rude service. No number, receipt, name taken down, or pager provided. The staff just calls out your order so just gotta stand near the counter and be on alert.A M B I A N C EThe food court and the plaza are hella run down but please don't let that deter you from visiting...you're here for the legit Viet food. There are some gems here. Highly recommend bringing sanitizing wipes with you to wipe down the tables before sitting. P A R K I N GHit or miss on the weekends. We got there at 10:15 am on Saturday and had no issues finding parking. Overall, I'm glad I gave Bánh Cuốn Thiên Hương a try because I really liked their bánh cuốn. Sometimes you just gotta ignore the low ratings and try things out for yourself. You just never know...

Terrible customer service with low education. I ordered takeout, and they missed some items. They refuse to address the issue and only accept cash. Beware!!!

No frills hole in the wall with a large variety of Vietnamese dishes. We came during lunch time & they were quite busy. However, the service was still quick. The portions were generous as well. I highly recommend getting their combo banh cuon! It came with so many different toppings & was delicious!

I came here yesterday since I was craving some Banh cuon and was in the Lion Plaza. I've never tried this place and was a bit skeptical, but when I got home and tasted their Banh cuon I was very satisfied and impressed! It was so delicious and I was left wanting more! I definitely highly recommend Banh Cuon Thien Huong if you are craving Banh cuon and I would also recommend buying by the pound if you would like more.

I usually come here to get Banh Cuon. This place banh cuon is unlike any other place; their flavoring is delicious! The Banh Cuon here is better than Tay Ho or Ong Ta. The only downside is that this place is cash only. Be prepared with cash before you come here.

The Banh Cuon Cha Lua was better than average and considering the portion size it was worth it. Filling and healthy too. The Nem Nuong was ok, their version used more lettuce as filler than at many places. The service was friendly as well, brought food to your table once you ordered and sat down.Formerly Chao Vit Thien-Huong (http://www.yelp.com/biz/chao-vit-thien-huong-san-jose) but looked like it's the same owner and with many of the same menu items. Located inside the food court area of Lion Plaza (https://yelp.to/qTKq/7n6U46cMlW), so plenty of parking in the shopping center.

customer service was unprofessional. Very rude and constantly yelling at customers and throwing changes. Yelled at an old lady in front of us because she couldn't hear very well. Not very helpful with explaining the menu. never going here again. this is the worst customer service i've ever seen!
