Went for DessertFood - 5/5. The bread is very soft with a richness that is common in Asian milk bread. Corn cookie was firmer in texture with bits of gritty cornmeal and a strong strawberry aroma. Mocha cream had an intense coffee flavor with small chunks of sugar. The chocolate custard was my favorite and the most surprising. The color is not very appealing as it is a light brown but this is due to the amount of egg yolks in the custard. It was very rich as a result and still had a good amount of chocolate and sweet flavor.Service - 4/5. Quick transaction and plenty of dining space.Value - 5/5. The size of the pastries are good and they average around $3 each. Delicious and fairly priced, this is a wonderful Korean bakery.Parking - Mall Lot (Free)

This is their satellite location located inside Hankook market. I do not recommended this location at all. I spent $30 and everything I bought was dry as hell and stale. The lady working there was super nice but sadly the products are old. I choked down some of their items with a ton of milk so not to waste, bit if doubt i can do it with what's left. I want to believe that I would have loved their items if they were fresh. Maybe take the extra step to go to their actual cafe location up the street.

I was excited to learn about this Korean bakery from Korean group. They always brought delicious red bean bread for gathering. I got a free bread once, when I bought 5 red bean bread. It looked the cashier gave a random customer at certain hour. I repeated coming back to buy red bean bread until I bought an expired green bean bread.

I stumbled upon Baker's Village while shopping at Hankook Supermarket on Sunday, August 2nd. I had no intention of getting any baked goods, but I love little bakeries, so I decided to go in and take a look.Ended up grabbing a Green tea roll ($1.95). The cake wasn't as moist as I would like, but the cream helped with that some. It had a nice light flavor and wasn't overly sweet. This is a small shop, so while they have an assortment of baked goods, they don't have a lot of variety. Worth a look if you're craving a little snack.

I really dig the variety, and being a Pacific Islander they carry things I used to buy in Samoa. When loading up on spicy noodle bowls, this is our family's go to. Not the cheapest, but what is w- inflation..? So with that being said, my wife decided to buy some Cuties, we usually buy them at Costco. Hankook, your Cuties are SUR !! Let them puppies ripen a little in the warehouse or wherever they need to sit to get more sweet.

I was looking for some baked goods... Buns mainly for breakfast and snacks. Didn't realize this was Korean. What a wonderful chance to try something new. A number of yummy buns with red bean paste. Similar in approach as Chinese style bakery... Not to sweet to let the element speak for themselves. I would have liked some more savory selection but this seems to be less common in California. Will visit again.

Korean bakery, completely opposite of American bakeries and Krispy Kreme donuts. Everything in this bakery is radically different from the American version of the same pastry. Hidden on Halford ave in a shopping center behind the burger king on Lawrence Expressway/El Camino. Not visible from El Camino. Subtle differences in texture, not overly sweet or heavy use of butter. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE COOKIES AND SWEET POTATO CAKE. Americans will like the cookies and full cakes. Probably not the pastries with red/green bean fillings. They give samples, ask to try before you buy. Scotch Cake slice: Subtle Texture differences in cake slice, sold as slice wrapped in plastic. Looks like a pound cake with a separate layer of cake on the outside with a thin layer of white butter cream frosting on the top. 2 layers of cake like a sushi roll. The inside part is made of coarse flour, the outside is made of much finer cake flour. You get a rough and smooth texture cake. No equivalent in American pastries. Very good with a hot tea. Red bean mochi: very good. Not like the Japanese version of rice flour mochi. Like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jin_deui with a red bean center and a chewy outside. Not sure if this is deep fried or not. Doesn't have sesame outside. Jin Deui can't be eaten cold, has to be served hot. The red bean mochi can be eaten at room temp and is chewy on the outside, smooth on the inside. Cream Cheese bread: delicate, like a cream puff but less sweet. owner gave me one as a sample. Very good. another favorite so far along with the sweet potato cake and cookies. Sort of like a Cream cheese danish but a lot less sweet. Very delicate. Almond Cookies: small, about siaze of a pinky fingertip. Made from egg whites I think, not flour. Not cheap to do. Excellent, crunchy without being dried out. Each cookie is a bite and has a distinct almond flavor and is crunchy. Preserving the crunchy almond texture not easy . Different varieties of cookies. Banana cookies look like a banana. Chocolate chip very good. Sweet Potato cake: 20$ for small cake. Not overly sweet. Sweet potato keeps cake moist. Excellent cake. Walnut scone; big, dense. Good with coffee. Lots of walnuts inside. Different than the dense english cream scones.Green bean coffee cake, big. $4.95. Not filled with the standard lemon or raspberry jam fillings. Very different. Bean filling makes this very flaky. Good with coffee or tea. Incredible selections. This is just 20% of what is available. High quality. Near the cash register they have this sesame bread which looks like a 2x sized pool ball. Good toasted. Unique texture. Like a cream puff pate choux. Would be good to hold ice cream. Should hold up without dissolving for a while.

I love this cute little bakery!!! I came in with my sister today, and bought tapioca bread, strawberry sand, and corn bread. I wish I bought more...the red bean bread pastry thing looked very good. But....I figured I shouldn't eat so much bread. :/ The strawberry sand was very good. It was a layer of strawberry cream in the middle of this sandy-textured bread. I don't really know what it is. Corn? It kind of had corn-bread texture. And I love corn bread! And I love their tapioca bread. :) It's kind of hard, but you get used to gnawing at your bread.

I ordered a sweet potato cake for my son's 100th day celebration. This shop may be the only place which you can find sweet potato cake in bay area. Not like American pastries and cakes, theirs are less sweet and not heavy (I love it!). The owner was friendly, and the cake was decorated beautifully. I felt that she took care of it with extra effort. Good!
