Wow to my surprise that this location has so many negative reviews. And no i'm not saying other reviews aren't valid, we all have our experiences and that's the whole point of this site is to share our experience.Mines has been a lot more pleasant i'm happy to share. I wish I had gotten the name of the gentleman behind the meat counter. he's so friendly and willing to help me find what i'm looking for. He even mentioned if there is a cut that I specifically wanted that if I give him time he'll get it for me. This is amazing because it's so hard to get certain cuts these days.The cashiers and I have a slight language barrier but nothing ever rude or inappropriate. in fact in my option they try very hard to go above and beyond to be helpful. I don't get to go here often but i like everything about this store except their parking lot.

Needed some drinks and veggies so stopped in at Arteaga's Food Center. This is the first time here and walking in the store it looked very nice and well stocked. The different areas looked clean and well maintained. Got what I needed and waited in line to be rung up. Employees were welcoming and helpful in pointing me to the items i needed. Will definitely return again if Im in the area.

Was picking up some Mexican seafood to go....needed some salsa with it. While I was waiting for my food, walked over to the corner market.This place was packed with the Sunday crowd. So I waited till what I thought was "who's next?" I said I wanted to get some salsa in English.SO one of the staff answered me and he packed up my salsas....Salsa Verde and Salsa for Chips (haha). He said that the Salsa for Chips was the spicier one. And it cost me $3.87. What a deal!I did not look around the market. But from where I was standing, it was clean and orderly. The space was small but very well stocked.By the way....the salsas were both GOOD!

I don't live in the neighborhood, but I walked to Arteaga's with my friend who lives nearby. The first thing she was looking for was some corn. Arteaga's had a large bin outside, but it was filled with moldy and sickly looking ears. It took awhile before we could find 4 decent specimens. That didn't leave me with much confidence, but the inside of the store looked much better. There was a large meat counter, and the produce looked fresh. My friend bought some skirt steak, pickled peppers, and assorted veggies. I wasn't planning on buying anything personally, but I ended up buying tomatoes, onion, tortillas, & a jalapeño. My friend said she walks here frequently to get groceries. I couldn't get over how sad the corn was, but everything else looked okay. It's still a relatively small store, compared to a Safeway, but for a neighborhood market, it's pretty good.

If I could give a lower star then 1 I would....the front cashier by the name of Michelle has such a negative nasty attitude I'm surprised she is still there. I have requested the manager a few times and she doesn't want to provide him or her. Que mal servicio de la muchacha Michelle horrible

I came to this store two days ago at 9:55 pm because I forgot one item at a different store. The purchase I made here was under 5 dollars so I didn't use my debit card, I only had one bill on me and it was a hundred dollars. The guy said he can brake it, didn't really look at the bills besides that I was sure I was getting 95 dollars. I still have the same money in my wallet today. I went to the store today and pulled out the ugliest 20 I had and they told me it was counterfeit. Check your money before you leave or else your screwed.
