Arteaga’s Food Center

Don't skip out on grabbing a meal at this place just because it's attached to a super market. The food is bomb. Is it going to be the best burrito or taco that the South Bay has to offer? Probably not, but it's going to be better than many. Definitely better than (and more affordable) Chipotle.The Barbacoa Super Burrito was a rock star. The meat was juicy and tender. I ordered mine without beans but it was still loaded and stuffed. My only complaint is that some chunks of the barbacoa wasn't adequately pulled apart and so it didn't soak enough juices; and was a tad dry.My partner got a Carne Asada Burrito Bowl. They don't skimp out on the guacamole!I've eaten at a few other Arteaga's and I think this might be my favorite.

I always love their carne asada fries here! And the salsas are always good too. Pricing not bad at all.

I ordered a meal through arteagas and they didn't allow any assistance and denied me to speak to someone. Totally disappointed about service.

Ordering online was super clear and easy, I ordered the taco tray #2 (24 tacos for $60) with carne and al pastor. I got automated emails updating me with the progress of my order which was really nice. My tacos were nicely packaged with limes and two tubs of salsa. The taco meats were on the salty side but still good. Really happy to have found this place, it makes potlucks and parties much easier!

Ordered through DoorDash. Quesadilla with carne asada was bomb! Huge portion! Came with guacamole, lettuce, pico, and a side of mayonnaise for some reason. Also came with green and red sauce! Al pastor taco was bomb as well. Def recommend.

I absolutely LOVE this place and the reason why i love it so much is because they currently have $1 tacos! I've been in San Jose for a long time and $1 tacos is unheard of so this place is automatically my favorite. Besides the tacos they have other plates, burritos, family meals and kid's menu! The family meals come equipped with all the necessities for dinner with the family so if you have a last minute party to attend this would be the best spot. It includes choice of meat, beans, salsa and tortillas and the amount carries on which family pack you get. The family meals have:#1 feeds 2-4#2 feeds 5-6#3 feeds 7-9#4 feeds 10-12It's also a little market so you can do your light grocery shopping done here.The people here are very nice and always welcoming. Got a super burrito (carne asada) and some lengua tacosBurrito flavor was good, meat was cooked well, decent size.The tacos were bland (the lengua was flavorless), and the tortillas were soggy and lacked any flavor whatsoever. Would come back for the burrito and skip any tacos

Their aisles can be somewhat of a hassle to get through at times, they are very close together and house quite a bit of products for customers. The selection of items at this location isn't as diverse as their Willow Glen location, but they sill manage to offer plenty of quality goods for prices that always beat larger chains like Safeway. I always enjoy the produce selection here, they always move enough of it that they are able to keep a steady supply of fresh fruits and veggies on their display shelves.

Ordered an asada burrito bowl from here and was sadly disappointed. I live near an Arteaga's Food Center in Newark and LOVE their asada burrito bowls and all the flavor they have. The one from here was not as flavorful or made well. The guac and beans tasted old and the lettuce was not as fresh.

Had a horrible experience with their grocery store. Employees and the manager were extremely rude and unhelpful, and it was excruciatingly hard to get the food I already paid for! They don't have even a concept of customer service! I made an order online, my husband had to go there 4 times until they fulfilled it. They first claimed it wasn't ready, then they couldn't find the order, then the manager somehow magically knew the total amount for the "missing" order. They refused to fulfill the order from a printed list, neither would they accommodate my husband's disability when he wanted to shop himself. When calling the store on the phone, they offered to come tomorrow. I needed the food this morning. Eventually, they fulfilled it on visit #4, 3 hours after the pickup time. My husband talked with the manager (again) and the manager just mentioned "policy" and said "sorry" but it wasn't clear if it was "sorry, you've been treated badly" or "sorry, this kind of treatment is our policy". The manager's excuse was also "I don't speak much English".Feels like a communist country where you have to beg for food.
