Amici's East Coast Pizzeria San Jose at Ruff Food Pickup

Sauce was def not stewed which uh, can we say cheap?! Noodles were wiggity whack. Mushrooms looked like canned shrooms, I kid you not. I added sun-dried tomatoes, not thinking how that would turn out and NO. Why is that even a flavor combination?! Bread rolls were hard. I'm telling you. HARD. Like a bad dee-dough. Ministrone, dear gah, please do NOT order this unless you like Parmesan rind flavor all up in ya face. It's hard not to like a ministrone but trust. Unliked. Lastly, the lemon pepper wings. Why did they have gooey skin? Undercooked as if I was expected to have an oven to reheat them. I don't. Idc if dine-in is a better experience. I've had GOOD take out. And I'm guessing dine in isn't much better. Scout's honor.

Ordered delivery from here via UberEats....so no review of experience at the business.But we got two small pizzas.... $22 each (one pepperoni and one Hawaiian). And I can say that these pizzas have absolutely no business charging that price. The pizzas came and they were cold. Not like luke warm....but cold. And I timed the delivery....only took the driver 14mins to get to our place. Som that's problem one. Problem two is the value for money here. For $22, you can get a normal sized pizza or a large at other similar quality places. These are gourmet pizza prices for a tiny little small pizza (2 pizzas barely fed 3 people)....and that leads me to problem #3. The pizza itself is just ok. It's not bad, per say. But it's definitely nothing memorable or noteworthy. The website talks about how they have a special crust with a black bottom from their oven.... We got none of that. It was soggy, floppy, toppings sliding off. Just a really poor experience and IMO waste of $45 for two tiny pizzas. Woulda been just as well ordering from a national chain or getting something frozen from the grocery store. Bummer.

My old company ALWAYS ordered from this place for lunch meetings, and I was never really thrilled with their pizzas, but since they get such high ratings I figured I would give them a shot for takeout, and I was pleasantly surprised.With lunch meetings and pizza, it always seems like by the time they let you eat the pizza is either lukewarm or cold, so in their defense, it could be that by the time we were able to eat the pizza just wasn't at its prime temperature, and that's why I didn't like it back then. However, this last time we did takeout and ordered a mini pizza and wings, and it was tasty! So, I have been turned to being a fan of Amici's.We did a mini pizza with light crust. We added extra cheese, pesto sauce, pepperoni, and black olives. It was really good, and the ingredients were fresh and flavorful! It was super oily, but I know with pesto as your sauce you run that risk. I have had pesto sauce on other pizzas that weren't this oily, but I have to say the pesto on those pizzas weren't as good as the pesto on the Amici pizza. So, if I have to dab some oil off for a better flavor, then so be it. It was worth it!We also had the lemon chicken wings. I wasn't a huge fan of the flavor, but that's not on them. That is just a personal preference. My friend loved the flavor. I have to say, even though I didn't love the flavor the wings were fresh and just made really well. There was not freezer burn that I keep seeing on The Garrets wings, no slimy chicken, etc. They were fresh, meaty, and flavorful. I wish they offered more flavors because I would definitely order their wings again with a different flavor. I'm not a huge sweet fan, but I would be willing to try their BBQ wings just based off of how well these were cooked, and how fresh they tasted. Also, we did DD for this order and the food was ready a lot faster than we were quoted. So, it was just a really pleasant experience all around and I am really happy I gave them another try. While maybe a bit pricey I think they are worth the try.

Great thin crust pizza. Pizza was a little messed up, the guy dropped it as he was giving it to me so the slices slid around. Got the pepperoni and pineapple-customized. Then half Manhattan clam and half kale and sausage. I liked that they allow you to order online and pretty much customized everything. I like the fact that you can do half and half. Both were 2 large pizza and and it took 3 of us 2 meals to finish it off. I remembered the other amici's location the pizza dough was slightly thicker and chewy. Also I miss getting plenty of sauce as the dough is thin there were minimal sauce. However it was still a winner with the little boss.

I didn't order pizza, but I LOVE my Chicken Caesar Salad. The chicken is high quality, the romaine lettuce is crisp and fresh, the ranch tastes homemade, and the croutons are so flavorful. 5 stars!

Definitely one of the best pizza in Bay Area! Came across Amici's East Coast from an influencer in instagram that post a very mouthwatering pizza picture on her feed. So I checked on yelp, there were so many people raved this pizza. I needed to check this pizza out and here's what we ordered:1. Manhattan Red Clam; It has clams, garlic, seasonings, and tomato sauce. 2. Hawaiian Pizza; it has honey cured ham and pineapple.For the side dishes we got;1. Beyond meat with penne pasta, which was so awesome for my husband who just started doing plant based. 2. Southwestern Salad. I love the spicy and sweet dressing that compliments well with the salad. The bacon crunch was like cherry on top. We love their thin crust pizza, and their sauce is so flavorful too. My kids can't get enough of their pizza. This is such a perfect dish to have if you're planning to have picnic at the park, or for potluck dish idea. For dessert we got Tuxedo Cake which was very moist and the chocolate was so creamy! We will definitely be coming back for their thin crust pizza, and next time we will order other flavors.

I needed to feed a small crowd while watching football so I ordered the cheese lasagna (made my own cesar salad and garlic bread)! It was layered with lots of cheesy, saucy deliciousness - a hit with everyone! The sauce tasted fresh and tomato-y - I will definitely order again!

Amici's has always been my go to for pizza night. This past year I've noticed a big change in quality. You always get what you pay for, well unfortunately not this case. As I continue to pay for high priced pizza the quality has diminished. I would expect a pizza made with dedication for the prices this establishment is charging. Last night I opened the box and my heart just sank with the appearance, true disappointment. I didn't say anything out loud until my son said " ummm what happened to Amici's, did they change ownership?" After a few disappointing experiences, last night tipped the boat. We will no longer be ordering from Amici's, our 20 year relationship that started in Mountain View has ended in San Jose.

Took a very long time and communication with delivery driver was super challenging. He didn't know how to use the payment system, we could not communicate in the same language, and he wouldn't leave until I figured it out. Food was great, but I'd pick it up myself.

I have been in your restaurant at San Jose branch, your food is great, and the manager of the restaurant by the name of John Chacon was very helpful and attentive, checking several times if service was to our satisfaction.
