I was looking for a lunch spot in the area and decided to give this place a try. They had outdoor seating which was helpful since we had our dog with us. The staff were friendly and did a great job making the sandwich.I ordered the Godfather on a Dutch Crunch and it was a tasty sandwich. Everything was fresh and the sandwich was decently sized. If you're in the mood for a delicious sandwich, give this place a try.

I tried a new sandwich today - Ironman on Sourdough roll. Delicious! My boyfriend had our usual delicious - Godfather II. The gentleman and woman working made our sandwiches very quickly. Impressive! Thanks! I love how clean and tidy they keep the shop.

A great spot downton LG for sandwiches made to order, American Italian Deli is located on the parking lot side of the building so it's not on the main drag but it's definitely worth checking out.Quality fresh ingredients make up each sandwich and our favorite is the Godfather II on sourdough loaf & we grab a bag of Jalapeno Kettle Chips to dhare. They have coolers full of juice, water, beer, wine, & more.Seating is available inside and outside under umbrellas and sometimes we just take our order to go & walk a block to eat in the park & listen to live music.Parking lots are huge and you'll find a spot easily. If you like to support locally owned businesses who serve quick, fresh made, delicious food at reasonable prices you must try this hidden deli.

Stopped in for a sandwich. Because. Had seen the reviews for the Godfather, I wasn't with it, changing the cheese to havarti and bread to a sourdough roll. Wow! What a sandwich should be! Really enjoyed the entire thing- bread, meat, cheese, dressing. Perfect match of flavors with the peppers and oils. Nice casual, family owned feel. Not a cookie cutter experience. I'll be back again!

Came here after hiking and finding out the American meats and smokehouse was closed. Found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try, and I was pleasantly satisfied. This place is a small deli tucked off of the main shopping street, very easy to access with lots of parking. I ordered the Godfather II on a dutch crunch and the bread was incredibly soft and fresh. The ingredients were also very fresh and good quality, the cherry peppers and artichoke hearts are a nice touch. For the size of the sandwhich, the price is very reasonable, i think i paid around $11-12. Come and support local businesses, this one is worth a try!

I'm quite shocked this place has four stars. Was craving a sandwich and all my go-to places were closed, so I found myself on Yelp, which generally doesn't disappoint. I guess there is a first for everything.Anything and everything about this place was bad. First off, we never DoorDash, but we did this ONE TIME and of course, the deli messes up our sandwiches big time, so the hubby had to go back and pick up new sandwiches. Kinda defeats the purpose of the delivery service. We were told if we wanted our delivery charges back, we'd have to take it up with DoorDash, even though it was not DoorDash's mistake to begin with. And this is where it really goes downhill (refer to photos I posted). We ordered three sandwiches. Sure we had some special requests but it was not all that complicated (again, refer to the receipt I posted). The hubby ordered a Godfather II - it came just as he asked for, but like some other reviews mentioned, you'd think for the price, you'd get more meat. Overall, the taste was good, but we've had much better and heftier sandwiches elsewhere. The hubby also said the sourdough roll was tough. The BFF ordered a Godfather II as well, without any special requests. It came MEATLESS. Yes, you heard right. THERE WAS NO MEAT (see photos).I ordered the Iron Man (my special request was no oil, vinegar ok; NO MAYO). I got a sandwich with JUST MEAT WITH MAYO, none of the toppings. Even if they made my sandwich right, I think 3-4 THIN slices of meat is just not sufficient. I probably would've been better off with Subway or Togos. After getting the RIGHT sandwiches, I still think that their sandwiches are lacking; it was decent at best. Sure, if I paid $7 - $8 for one, that's fine. But $13 PRETAX? You gotta load it up with some more meat. We will not be returning. I can make a better sandwich at home for a quarter of the price.

I was really stoked to try some big, delicious deli sandwiches from American Italian Delicatessen, and sadly it was a let down. If you just want a sandwich, fine, it's ok but a bit overpriced. If you're looking for something special though, this isn't the spot.I got 2 sandwiches with the intention of saving one for later and eating one immediately. I like spicy food, so I got a Godfather 2, and I like specials, so I got also got a Monday-only oven roasted turkey. Both on Dutch crunch bread.I also got 2 lasagnas which I haven't eaten yet so jury's still out on them.Anyway, I started with the turkey sandwich and before unwrapping it I knew there was a problem - it was simply too light. Opening confirmed very little turkey, as well as odd looking Dutch crunch.First bite was also very underwhelming, the turkey was dry and the bread was too soft. Where's the "crunch" in the Dutch crunch? The bread didn't really have that chew consistency either, it was way closer to just a standard soft roll. Overall, being small, dry, and on subpar bread was disappointing.Because it was too small, I also ate the Godfather 2, which tasted better but was also way too light. I mean, if I'm ordering something called the Godfather, you need to bowl me over, make it huge. This wasn't even a capo. Taste was fine but the bread was still the weirdly soft Dutch no-crunch.The service was a bit brusque too, very much "what do you want". I'm not expecting them to be like flowery Walmart greeters but would it kill you to act like I'm not inconveniencing you?Inside, the place feels old. Not necessarily dirty, but like it's glory days were many years in the past. Parking of course is tricky. They take credit cards though, although asking for a tip when you slap a subpar sandwich together is kind of funny.Overall I would not be back for a sandwich. The poor quality bread, small amount of meat, attitude... even if the lasagna is great there's just too much that isn't good to justify it.

Came here for a sandwich after a hike the day after Christmas. I was hoping to try another spot but it was unexpectedly closed and this place was open. Was it the best sandwich of my life? No. Did it hit the spot at an unbeatable price? Yes. And it was good. I did a create my own sandwich with oven roasted Turkey with mozzarella and regular style with all the fixings. I'm guessing the menu specials are pretty good. Plenty of parking in the lot. Seating inside and outside. Service was speedy too. The canned La croix was 2.50 and the sandwich was 12.50 plus some change. Can't beat those prices (well, maybe next time I'll bring my own drink ;-)

Get the Godfather 2 and the creole potato salad! Amazing flavor. The godfather 2 has a great spicy kick that brings the sandwich together. Great staff and make the food quick. Has that local deli family feel.
