Amato's Cheesesteaks

Amato's is hands down the best spot for an authentic Philly cheesesteak. It's family-owned, no frills, just amazing food made with care. I can tell they take pride in what they do, they have so many options to choose from and they'll even customize your sandwich for you. Even though they are known for their cheesesteaks, you have to also try their fresh potato chips! They are the best chips I've ever had!The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff is super friendly and treats you like family. My husband and I have been here together and with friends/coworkers. Whether you're a regular or it's your first time, they make sure you're taken care of. It's one of those places where you can just relax and enjoy a great meal.This place is the real deal! If you're craving a legit cheesesteak, do yourself a favor and check out Amato's.

I don't get over here often enough, but everytime I do I'm reminded it's probably the best sandwich joint this side of town. It starts with the bread, and it's always been a tasty roll in the almost two decades I've been coming here. Don't roll your eyes at the prices, because even the Shorty size is more than enough for a big huge meal. It's been probably a decade since I could attempt anything larger.Meats are always delicious, veggies are super fresh. East Coast style sando's in San Jose is a great combo. Amato's, I'll be back soon. This time around I didn't even get a cheesesteak!

I am from Salinas and we literally drive up just for this place. Food is killer and I always enjoy the eagles memorabilia.If you're looking for an amazing cheesesteak this is the place .

I'm a New Yorker and there is no place in the Bay Area that comes close to Amato's! Not only the cheesesteak but all the sandwiches. The cheese sauce on fries is amazing!

Owner and staff are professional, accommodating and one of the best cheesesteak places ive been to! The wings are good also but if you're looking for a place to go for dinner, dont think twice or hesitate going here! You wont be disappointed! Thank you Amatos for another great meal!

Best Cheesesteaks It's been our long standing favorite place since going to the one on Saratoga. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Can't wait for my next cheesesteak from Amato's! They also do catering. We hosted a Super Bowl and had cheesesteaks that disappeared quick!

Most authentic Philly cheesesteak around. The bread is divine. Seasoning in the hoagies is fire too

So dry!! Worst cheesesteak I've ever had. No cheese and no mayo. No sauce at all!! Very over priced too!! Due to price, my standard was high. For $20 I was assuming I'd be getting something at least decent. Not even eatable.
