Nestled in off the main road Alotta's has been around for long long time, Mike the "new owner " has been there 40 years + !Wifey has been eating lunch here for over 20 years so I figured it's time I stopped in myself and see what all the hoopla is about. The outside has a cool mural on the left of the building, the signage on the building looks like something out of Mayberry, "very cool" there are a couple small tables outside as well "if you're lucky enough to get one" Walking inside they have a huge drink refrigerator up against the wall and right next to it is a written out menu. The right side of Alotta's has a nice dining area with another cool mural on the wall .You order your food and pay after you eat. "Note there is a 4% charge for credit cards" They have an extensive menu IMO. They have Chinese chicken salad, macaroni salad, and at least 5 other types of salads, hot and cold sandwiches like pastrami, roast beef, corned beef, "I got a meatball sandwich and a side of ravioli to go" they also have cakes and an array of chips. The meatball sandwich comes with provolone cheese, the bread is made in house, the bread crust was perfectly crispy and incredibly soft at the same time, the meatballs.... Oh my gosh are light and airy, not dense and solid "these meatballs are made to perfection" not to mention that they're super tasty too. "If I had a suggestion for Alotta's it would be to put more sauce on the sandwich please, "but that's just me" The size of the sandwich was more than enough for a hungry person, honestly 1/2 was enough but..... yeah I ate the whole thing. lol.

Found this small deli on Grant Road and decided to try it. The first thing I noticed was how clean it was and they serve breakfast 8am to 10am and they close at 3pm.I got in around 2:30 and ordered a turkey bacon sandwich on sourdough. The bread was freshly baked and was warm and the turkey was juicy. Overall the sandwich was great, but the downside to it was really how small it was for $16. The people there were very nice and there's a small parking space out front. Overall a great deli, but the price seems steep with the portion they offer.

Overall would say this is a fair place to go , had driven by for awhile and finally decided to stop and try. They served breakfast 8-10 and lunch 10-3 closed on Sundays. One thing will say very positive as this place is kept exceptionally clean. That is very attractive as a cafe these days. Had the bacon breakfast burrito and it was fair , cooked well with some good hot sauce that seemed to be homemade. Didn't overly excite me as sometimes these mom and pop places do but glad I tried it The service was friendly and reasonable time to make the burrito fresh Little lite on the bacon but reasonable in price Give this place a try and let me know what you think

Not much had changed at Alotta's in the last 5 years and that's a good thing. It's still slightly confusing in where to order (left) and pay (right) -- see my detailed explanation in the earlier review. The Mikes special on the house-made sourdough roll is still my fav -- but now with spicy mustard. Prices are a couple of bucks more but fair compared to nearby places. They've added gluten free bread and a variety of house-made desserts. It's still busy on weekends, especially at lunch. Recently I arrived at 2pm and there were a few others but I didn't have to wait long. And somehow I still haven't tried the raviolis. Not sure I can call Alioto's a local institution but I'm glad it's still there.

16$ dollars for a sandwich and it was the smallest sandwich I've ever purchased. Stingy on the meat and it didn't even cover the whole sandwich. Sandwich, side and soda 25$, save your money and find an Ikes or Jersey Mike's near you.

The owner is not the friendliest. I tried to ask him about his top sellers that I could try and he doesn't really make an effort to tell me anything but "try this, it's good cause I made it". I ended up getting just a typical salami/mortadella deli sandwich and it was okay. Very small for the price in which they charge you for and just an average at best sandwich. Bare minimum veggies on top, along with paper thin condiments. Nothing special about any of my experience when eating here. Most likely won't come back. A generous 2 star.

Its OK. The sandwiches are about what you could make at home with little effort, not really worthy of making a trip specifically to get one, especially given the high prices. That said, its a convenient location and reasonably good if you just need something to eat.Owner is not very friendly and has made my experiences uncomfortable. He definitely prefers to talk to people he knows, and will ignore other customers if he is in the middle of a conversation with someone. I get the desire to chat with friends, but then maybe have someone else handle the register.

Small, out-of-the way spot. I had the special turkey/cranberry sandwich. The turkey is real meat, not the pressed turkey roll you get in some delis. Side of ravioli was good. Home made coconut cake is to die for! Worth a trip just for the cake. That said, the tally was about $42, including a $1.50 service charge. Add a 20% tip and you've got a $50 lunch. Seems awfully pricey, but I guess that's today's world.

The owners are very lovely people. The only thing that is not a plus for me is the homemade bread that they make there I feel that they need to get something that is a lot more delicious like maybe Acme bread and I think then it would be a home run for me.
