4 stars because I can't do 3.5 stars. IYKYKKidding aside. Came for lunch on a Wednesday and was greeted by a friendly lady. I sat near the kitchen because i am nosy. I had a piping hot bowl of wonton noodle soup. The wontons were plump and so good. Noodles cooked just right. Broth was comforting. $9 plus tax was $10. Where in the city will you find that!Tea was complimentary. Cash only. Menu said closed Wednesday but I'm here and they're open.

My family has came here a couple times and it was my first time! There noodle soups are pretty cheap compared to other places outside of Chinatown. Each bowl is roughly $10. Both my sister and I got their beef brisket & wonton noodle soup. My mom got their pig feet noodle soup. We shared a plate of liver & kidney, this was so good; I love the soy sauce they use for this dish. The portions were just right for the low price you pay. Wontons were plump and full of ground meat & shrimp! Brisket was pretty tender, I just had a couple pieces that were to tough to chew. I would totally come back for a cheap meal!!!

The 3.5 rating lore lives on! (For context, it's a running joke that authentic restaurants with 3.5 star ratings have incredible food, and are only lowered in rating because Western customers aren't used to the lack of customer service.)This place is classic Chinatown - *cash only*, haphazard seating, and having to walk up to the kitchen to get a menu from someone when the staff are too busy to notice you. That being said, while I do have to subtract a star for the chaotic servicing, the food was otherwise homey and warming. I ordered #1 Wonton Shrimp & Pork Soup, and it tasted like a home-cooked meal, in the best way.

Cozy intimate spot for Chinatown locals! Reasonably priced but with subtle flavors that remind me of home. Noodles are chewy and portions are large. Beef pieces include tendon and other slimier cuts that I wasn't the biggest fan of. Waiters were extremely nice and helpful. Cash only!

Still the best beef Brisket Wonton Noodle around outside of Mom's cooking!! Each time I come here it's consistently good, this is the only Beef Brisket around that I can eat everything, even thr tendons ate like jelly and beef so melt in your mouth tender and the classic flavor hits the spot just like home made.

Average spot for wonton noodles in Chinatown. Came during evening time and the workers were folding wontons in the back tables. We seated ourselves and got a menu and some tea eventually. We got egg noodles with wontons and cha siu (they didn't have any more flat rice noodle which was what I wanted originally). Overall, the food is decent. Can't beat the price point for the amount of food. A good amount of noodles/wontons/meat. The soup wasn't too hot and the flavor wasn't anything standout, but it's a local spot. Wasn't the cleanest inside either but sufficient for a quick meal.

This is local favorites. Cafeteria setting but clean. Service is good; and more importantly their food is delicious! I've been ordering wonton noodles for many times. The egg noodle is bouncing in your mouth and the soup is tasty. They are also known for Beef Stew, Steamed Pork & Kidney and Pig's Feet. Although few menus are acquired tasted but check it out folks! Enjoy... Tips: lunch time is always busy. Also, they have limited menu options.

Revisited this place today after nearly a decade! I remember their dishes were under $5 back then, nowadays around $10-$11 which is still reasonable for what you get. No frills type of spot - shared tables as needed reminds me of restaurants in China. Cash only of course.#4: beef brisket and wonton noodle soup (3.5/5), not bad not great, beef pieces were tender, wonton noodles were large but tasted fatty/oily, egg noodles were solid but overall dish felt a bit on the saltier side#44: pork liver and kidney (4.5/5), amazing - must get. Lightly sautéed, tasty sauce at the bottom.

It's pretty standard for Chinese restaurants like this not to prioritize top-notch customer service or ambience, but their food quality, efficiency and price are on point. I feel like they have the right number of items on the menu--not too many or too few. Does anyone else struggle with decision-making when faced with a huge menu? (I blame my Decidophobia, haha!)We both ordered:Beef Brisket and Wonton Noodle Soup: The beef brisket carries the aroma of the spice marinade. It's incredibly tender and melts in your mouth! Although listed as beef brisket on the menu, it's actually a mix of brisket and tendon, which I really enjoy because it adds a variety of textures. You can also see the sauce mixed into the soup, giving it more depth and layers. However, I'm not sure if it's just me, but one of my wontons only had half of its filling (maybe because they stuck together and broke apart during cooking), and one didn't have any shrimp at all. For this reason, I have to deduct one point. The chili sauce is more like a chili paste rather than chili oil, which I prefer.** You can opt for other types of noodles such as rice vermicelli and flat rice vermicelli

Was in SF chinatown looking for a noodle shop to satisfy a craving and stumbled upon this place. The shop is not big, maybe a handful of tables and you often need to share tables if you have a small party (like 2 people) and it can get crowded. BUT don't let that deter you from coming here! They have a quick turnaround so you won't be waiting long even if there is a line. It is cash only but there are a few banks nearby in case you need to run to the ATM.We ordered #8, the stewed beef brisket and rice noodle soup and a side order of the steamed beef tripe. Both were delicious! The beef brisket was super juicy and tender, paired with thicker rice noodles and a couple pieces of vegetables. The noodles were a little over cooked but for a shop like this you can't expect the noodles to be perfectly al dente. The tripe was tender and chewy and served in some soy sauce. The dish can actually be a bit spicy depending on the chopped jalapenos used! My bf loves this dish and am glad we decided to order this on a whim. If you're in this area this place is a must try, especially if you are a noodle soup lover.
