this place serves the most delicious fresh dim sum! my parents and i came on a sunday around 11:30 and waited about 20 minutes for a table. the interior is pretty nice and clean, but definitely bustling and a little crowded. service was pretty decent, as it seemed busy, and the price isn't bad! like others noted, the service fee is already included so be aware when you're tipping. we paid $81 for 3 people (we didn't finish everything either, so if you have a smaller appetite it won't be that expensive). parking can be tough so prepare to have a light walk from your car to the restaurant.we ordered several dishes and really enjoyed them. the chinese broccoli with oyster sauce were perfectly tender and savory, without being too salty. the shrimp har gow was really good, with tender, thin skin and plenty of shrimp (they did fall apart a little but still tasted good). the siu mai with roe came with a ton of meat/shrimp! the shrimp and chive rice roll was good as well. even better were the chicken feet, which were so tender they almost fall right off the bone in your mouth. my favorite item was the baked bbq pork bun - the most amazing crispy, buttery, yet incredibly fluffy bun paired with savory, juicy, mouthwatering bbq pork! i have no words for how delicious this bun was. i'd come here again purely for the bun - each bite was a mix of light sweetness and savoriness, juiciness and crunch. a must order if you come here! lastly, we had the egg yolk lava fried sesame balls. these were perfectly crispy and chewy, with the most delicious saucy egg yolk lava inside. it was a great way to end the meal. overall, this place has AMAZING dim sum. you do have to hustle a bit to wave a server down sometimes and might be overstimulated if you don't enjoy crowded/busy places, but the food will be fresh, authentic, and delicious. i would highly recommend coming here with a group so you can try lots of dishes! perfect for celebrations or large gatherings.

Dim sum Service on Saturday morning 10am-noon was so bad. 30 mins in and no one came to pick up our order sheet. Rarely any checking up on our table through the whole meal. Took a long time to flag someone down to ask for the bill. Seems like not enough staffCeiling decor is elegant and nice in pics Free parking lot. All spots are compact so be careful especially if you have a wider car. Empty around 10am and gets full at noonFood--sticky rice came with a creamy yellow wasabi sauce it was awful and did not pair well-taro dumpling lacked flavor-everything was lackluster Careful of employee mandate surcharge which was there few months ago and it seems they may have stopped putting on the bill as of Jan 2025 Can host special events or wedding. If something like a birthday celebration you can get the back side of the restaurant. Not private room but you get one side of the building

Ambiance: 3Service: 3Food: 4.5I have found a new dimsum spot around Bay Area. The typical xíu mai for every dimsum is very flavorful, moist, and light, as in not salty at all. The Chinese donut wrapped in rice noodle is still crispy despite being soaked in the sweet soy sauce for few minutes. The noodle itself is chewy and not fall apart when picked up by the chopsticks, which I really like. The generously and Perfectly spiced minced meat burst out from the fried taro ball. Truly lives up to the phrase "crispy on the outside but soft and warm in the inside". The lobster noodle is the highlight of the meal. I don't normally like E-fu as it can be soggy due to its soft texture. It is the opposite. The noodle is chewy and soft at the same time. The lobster is fresh judging from the chewy texture, not rubbery. The crispy vermicelli or rice noodle tastes has a nice crunch without the oily taste. Disappointed when there are not enough seafood or veggies topping included. The desserts here are a bit on sweeter side, especially the baked lava salted egg custard bun, tho the taste is great. The texture is chewy and soft. The custard is sweet + the sweet crust outside the bun are a bit over killed. If one likes sweet, this may be fine with them but not me. Hand down to lava custard sesame balls. They are my new favorite from thi restaurant. Crunchiness, crispiness, chewy, softness, sweet, saltiness, and moist can be tasted and felt in one bite. In contrast, I don't recommend mango pudding in shape of a corn. It doesn't taste like a milky pudding, more like soft jelly with not much of any mango taste to it. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant with its light, not too oily offered brunch menu. I hope it can remain the same since lots of restaurants don't maintain the quality over time. Definitely we will revisit here more often.

It's taking me getting used to all of these updated and hip looking Dim Sum restaurants now and it's very prevalent in the El Camino-Millbrae areas. With the last amazing dim sum place that closed down, these newer restaurants have been popping up in the area. But, Yan Peninsula was a good visit and the food quality is excellent. Tried their usuals like the Shrimp Ha Gow, Sui Mai, Beef Rice Noodle, Pan-fried Dumplings, and even their special Lobster over e-noodles. So good btw! Everything was good, and the tea refills were good. The customers here are a good mix. Saw a pair of 20 or early 30-somethings dining here, just with friends or colleagues, which was interesting. Normally we go to dim sum because family wants to go lol. So it's a comfy place for the younger crowd too, that's awesome! There's a parking lot here, but you may have to circle around for a spot. Other than that, a good dim sum place to visit if you're in town visiting.

Came in late on a weekday evening little before closing. Not busy. Staff let us know we had to order quickly in a nice friendly tone. Place is neat and well designed inside. Lighting was just fine, not super bright. Food- didn't get the exact dish names nor menu photos, sorry about that.Soufflé came out first. A tad sweet, but has salted egg in bottom. Egg adds salty to the sweet making this a nice flavor contrast.Tofu beef and broccoli- the tofu was the star of this dish, tying the flavors together and adding an interesting texture.Chive taro seafood- the fried slivers of taro were almost like French fries in the dish. Overall textures were smooth and soft, so the crunchy taro set things off well.Singapore noodle- a very solid example of an Asian favorite.Would come back again when in area

Love the ambiance. They have a very nice interior. They can get very busy. Had a hard time looking for a parking spot. The vermicelli singaporean style is too dry for my liking. I would give it a 3 star. Other than that everything was flavorful and tasty. Will definitely come back to try other food in the menu.

I've been to this dim sum house numerous times but cell reception always was an issue in getting a review done. So I'm finally able to do a review. First of all, regardless of their low staff issues, they still seemed to effortlessly take care of all their guests, I they're amazing. Very few dim sum places use carts and this place is no different, but the upside is you get real hot dim sum instead of running out if items you may want at the end of the cart run.I may seem over simplistic, but I really enjoy good chicken feet and dry tofu wrapped wood ear, this restaurant does a great job if these dim sums. Their duck feet and duck tongue in soy sauce was a big hit also. Since my friends did most of the ordering, I was most impressed with their choices since they're more sophisticated at ordering than I. I did forget to get a picture of the pigs ears but I can tell you it was darn wonderful.Parking is terrible but I guess that's an indication that this dims sum house is outstanding.

Solid spot for dim sum! They have lots of classic dishes -- my favorites are the regular har gow, siu mai, preserved egg and pork congee, and crispy shrimp rice rolls. The salt & pepper crispy chicken wings were also really good!A big plus is they're open on major holidays and can accommodate large groups on short notice. I came with a party of 20 on New Year Day today and they seated us in about half hour in their private room upstairs. It was really nice to have our own space since and we could be more chaotic without disturbing other customers. The staff is pretty attentive and kept coming upstairs to check on us. The food came out promptly and tasted fresh. Things to note -- the parking lot is pretty tiny. I recommend driving over to the residential area to park at Landing Lane or San Anselmo Ave and walking over. I'll come back to make use of their private room. Apparently they also offer karaoke in the room -- sounds fun for a party outing!

Solid spot for dim sum on the Peninsula. I would say most of the dishes are good, but their specialty "cute" buns/custards are just mediocre (albeit very cute). I'm a big fan of their cheung fun and XO rice rolls. They also have pretty decent chicken feet. I haven't had issues with the wait on weekends that we've gone and usually the service is pretty quick. It's become our default spot when we have a sudden dim sum craving!
