I've had Wood Oven Pizza on my list for a while, and finally had the opportunity to stop by recently. They are a cute family owned pizza spot, and I'm surprised they weren't busier at 7pm on a Thursday. They serve artisanal pizzas made in their wood-burning oven with organic Italian flour, organic tomato sauce organic olive oil, and oven-roasted, mostly organic toppings. Prices are on the higher side ($29 per pizza that serves 1-2); however, you can taste the quality of their ingredients. They have 16 different pizzas to choose from, including make your pizzas, and even a vegan option and a gluten-free option. Our pizzas came out quickly (less than 10 minutes after ordering), and we tried:-#5/Bacon-Potato (Bechamel, Bacon, Potato, Mozzarella, Gorgonzola, $29, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=eu6C2zpA5VYyGHeSK5rJ7g&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Yum- we all really enjoyed the combination of ingredients on this pizza. I've had some bad versions of potato pizzas, and this version was done well- the potato slices were thin and cooked perfectly, and the bacon and bechamel added a lot of flavor. Recommended!-#9/Italian Sausage (Tomato Sauce, Italian Sausage, Mozzarella, $29), https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=-1420THiBtgoviF0nDdq0A&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Solid, but this pizza didn't have as much flavor as the other two. The sausage needed a bit more spice and salt, but I appreciated that this pizza was still nice and cheesy.-#10/Burrata (Tomato Sauce, Cherry Tomato, Burrata, Parmigiano, $29, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=4G72YgeWiBQS4S3JegXBBg&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Yum- for essentially just a cheese pizza, this was still really good! The burrata added a creamy texture, and there was the perfect amount of salt to balance everything out- recommended!I would consider coming back if in the area, but I hope they re-evaluate their pricing. $29 is a steep price to pay for this size of pizza, and I would rather pay less for them using non-organic ingredients. Their staff was really sweet, and I hope more people come to support a local business! Both indoor and outdoor seating was available. Parking in downtown Palo Alto can be tough at times, but there were street parking options as well as parking lots.

Pretty good pies here. Bright and open restaurant with friendly staff. Nice selection of white and red sauce pizzas. The ingredients are quality and fresh. The Hawaiian pizza was my favorite of the 3. I liked that the toppings don't fall off easily. The dough and crust hold up well. My only complaint are the pizzas are pricey. Indoor and outdoor dining available

We showed up at 4:53 PM (early bird special aka we were hungry), and they welcomed us in! I always say if you leave the house after 6:30 PM, it's late LOL.We had already stalked the menu and ordered the pineapple pizza. I LOVE ricotta on my pizza (minus the ham for me, please). Their ingredients were some of the best I have had. The ingredients are really top notch! Ingredient breakdown:- Super fresh pineapple- Bountiful amounts of ricotta- The mozzarella cheese was also perfect (some places have weird texture but not here)- Tomato sauce...you just need to try the sauce and you will understandThe owners are super friendly! You can tell they are really passionate about their business and find gratitude when people enjoy their product. My only personal preference as a 'snotty crustie' is that I like my crust with a little more chewiness - refer to Del Popolo pics in SF, and you will instantly know what I mean. The crust holds the plentiful toppings really well here, so they deserve credit for that! The pizza feels really light, and I easily ate three slices without feeling greasy, weighed down, or sluggish!Keep doing what you are doing! Fire up that pizza oven!

These pizzas were over the top delicious. The classics were scrumptious, and we tried a few new things (that I haven't seen elsewhere) and the flavors were stellar surprises. Potato and bacon! I will be back.

Their pizza was so good! They had a good amount of selections in their menu. I came here with a group of friends because the bar across the street was a long wait. I'll probably come back to write a proper review since I had no intentions of coming here in the first place. I finished my beers and I was too drunk to remember to take pictures of my food, so I'll come back. This shop had a clean atmosphere and the staff were nice. Their restroom was very clean too!

I don't know. This is so hard because like others have said- they are so NICE. After reading one of the reviews I figured this pizza would change my life. It did not change my life. The space is beautiful, clean, simple, and the 2 women working were kind, friendly, and attentive. (This is what gave them the 3rd star). Now to the pizza. It was good. That's really all I can say. At $30/pie there's no way to justify it with places like Terun and Doppio Zero making a FAR superior pizza for $10 LESS. Sorry...

This pizzeria is simple but on the higher end with quality pies. You won't get fancy service but you will get fancy pizzas with quality ingredients. The turnip top pizza (5/5) is the absolute stand out. I haven't had anything like it anywhere else. It's some turnip top greens with sausage which has a balance of slight bitter with sweet sausage. Must try! The pesto pizza is also an innovative pizza here. I'd give it (4/5) and worth trying. The meat pie is well executed but pretty standard (3.5/5) as is the margarita. Service may be a on the slower side but if you are looking for a casual yet gourmet spot for pizza without any wait, this spot is pretty good.

The pizza was ok but overall experience was not very good. Not much customer here, unlike other restaurants in this area. The menu is simple. They recently started to serve tin pot ice cream. However, ice cream was served in the same way like a ice cream store with limited favor choices. I regret that I didn't go to salt and straw for ice cream instead. I probably won't eat here again.

Went here the other day, it was delicious! The salad they had was great, the pizza was well made. The ambiance is a good place to be casual (need to order at the counter, food gets served to you) in a laid back yet chic/modern setting, with a few friends or a date/SO. The decor is slightly rustic or old French or old Italian with a few modern touches, I actually liked it. The music was modern.I did think the prices were a little pricier considering you need to order at the counter, but the quality was good! It's not surprising it was considered to have the best pizza in Palo Alto (see pic).

Best Ham & Pineapple pizza I've ever had. The cheese was amazing and the aroma of the ham was even teasing me from the leftovers on the way home. The sweet, attentive service was remarkable. There was no crowd when we dined. so it was a perfect meal.My dining partner also got me to try the Turnip Tops & Sausage Pizza. Wow! If you like white pizza = recommended!
