This restaurant opened long long time ago and is a local gem for the area. Street parking only, a bit hard to find parking. The food we ordered was delicious. We ordered whole soy sauce chicken, crispy pork knuckle and miso glazed black code. All server there are friendly. Small cozy restaurant but better to call for reservation than walk in. Will go again when I am in the area. Signature dishes: Soy sauce chicken - can taste rose wine on the soy sauce Crispy Pork Knuckle - yummmmy. Crispy and flavorful. The miso code fish also good!

My friends and I came here for our lunar new year dinner. The food is authentic and it's really how the local Chinese like to eat. We shared the hot and sour soup, lamb stew, clams, baby mustard greens and the crab with ginger and scallions. We really enjoyed our meal here. Service was what you'd expect for a local Chinese restaurant. The ambiance is also what you'd expect - it's the classic set up with several large tables that cater to big families. With tax and tip, this was about $60 per person, which is reasonably priced for what we got.

You know it's good if your parents say it's good. Super authentic Chinese food, everything we ordered just hit the spot.My personal favorite was the crab which was super fresh, idk how to tell but I'm taking my parents word for it who worked in restaurant business for 15+ year. Honestly everything was good, I'm usually not a fan of Chinese food cuz of the grease but every thing made here wasn't too heavy and the flavor was just perfection. Everything came out super quick. Decent customer service. There's 3 floors and the 3rd was halfway packed on a Tuesday! Just imagine the weekend lol. Maybe a little hazardous because it is quite cramped on the 3rd.Plenty of parking, might get lucky and be one intersection away.

Had dinner with friends for the first time. Food was very tasty and price is reasonable. The place is like a papa-mama restaurant. The food came out very quick which is a plus ! We don't have to wait too long for the food since we were all starving The only downside is the parking. It took me 1/2 hour to find a parking. It's not a fancy restaurant, but overall, it was decent. Will come back again definitely.

I'm guessing only neighborhood folks come here. There isn't much activity around Won Kok, just residential housing. Lots of people said parking is an issue but if you don't mind walking a couple of blocks, you'll be totally fine. This is the kind of Chinese restaurant I grew up eating at. We ordered:Seafood Panfried Noodles $18.95-standard, not very flavorful Spiced salt pepper spare ribs $17.95-probably the best dishSautéed oyster ginger scallion $20.95-7 large oysters with tofuPumpkin with salted egg yolk $16.95-good but not as flavorfulHometown style goose $33-each piece was pretty tough to chew, definitely not worth the price Service was fine. We dined on Saturday between 1-2pm. Restaurant has takeout on the bottom level and the dining space is upstairs. They have fairly large tables stuffed into a rectangular basic Chinese restaurant. Thankfully it was only half full by this time of the day, otherwise I can imagine how loud and busy it can get. All the customers were your standard Chinese aunts and uncles! It's always interesting to try local Chinese restaurants but I wouldn't come back or recommend Won Kok as this is pretty standard basic Cantonese cuisine. Total price for 5 dishes $108

I came here a couple times for dinner which is a bit cramped but they were able to fit 15 people on the third floor on a big round table. I like to come here for the HK chow mein and chow fun. My mother in law likes the seafood here. We usually do takeout for the chow fun & HK chow mein since this is the one of the better places in the area but also a bit pricey. Without tip it's usually ~42 for both dishes but it can fill about 3 people up with those meals. Still one of my go to order places when craving Chinese food.

Debating 3 or 4 stars.... Yelp really needs to make half stars. Came at 7pm to pick up my order for a bday. Total of 5 dishes. Half soy sauce/Hainan chicken- 100%, fresh, tender, extra sauce and ginger sauce if needed. Salted yolk fried crab w/ fried pumpkins- 100%, best I've ever had. Not too salty, very flavorful and aromatic. Lobster low mien- 68%, added extra noodles $10, but barely filled up the tray. It looked as it was a normal order. Lots of oil! OIL!! Broccoli was actually softer this time, which is great for my dad and uncle. Salt & pepper beef ribs- 50%, lots of garlic, that's it. String beans was lessened as well, but tasty. Beef ribs barely have flavor or seasoned. Mostly bones. After I cut 2 pieces for my niece and nephew, the rest was just bones. Really disappointing and disappointed. Green bean sweet dessert soup- 100%, their dessert never misses. It's always one of my favorites. My brother took the rest home after I scooped my share in my bowl. I think this is the first time my family and I are kind of disappointed in our order.

Came here for a casual weeknight dinner. When we arrived, Won Kok was really busy and we had to wait a bit for our table. We ordered the salty fish meat patty, soy sauce chicken, squab, pea sprouts, and a few fresh oysters with black bean sauce. Everything was great, and their squab in particular was cooked really well. We'd skip the salty fish meat patty next time, but otherwise, a great authentic meal.

It's been years since I've been here and I heart there has been change of ownership too. Anyhow, I so far enjoyed it. I use to come here pretty often years ago for all different type of dinner events and honestly I don't remember if I ever had a bad experience. It was decent but also not a wow. Their food is great and price is ok but since the pandemic nothing is cheap nowadays. Their famous fried pork leg is like the Filipino dish called Pata with a similar sauce. Also the service was great. Always changing our plates to clean ones. I will definitely be back.
