Looks like there's new owners because this place doesn't look like any of the older photos here. We dined in. Restaurant was clean. Not a lot of people. We were able to grab a tableI wanted to sample their deli so ordered several items over rice. The bbq pork was yummy. And kudos for the lean meatSiu yuk had a good portion of meat and fat. Too bad the skin was non existent. BBQ pork chow mein had a lot of wok hei. Simply delicious. Service was fast. 3% surcharge levied if you pay by credit card.

Okay okay okay The place on ocean used to be the crown prince of soy sauce chicken and roast pork. But this might have taken the cake. Arrived at 1pm on a Thursday and we were seated immediately. The staff was kind and provided insight. The restaurant was as clean as a traditional Chinese restaurant can be.The highlight was the tea chicken and roast pork as pictured. This was dead on finger lickin good. The steamed veggies was not it, if I'll be honest. Stray away from the veg, move toward the wedge of meat.Ooowie good stuffBig Mitch

I had a day where I was literally CRAVING duck but I wanted it to be from an authentic, family-owned restaurant. I'm one of those people that will drive around and see how a place looks on the outside and if I don't see the vibe I'm looking for, I leave, lol!I finally found Win's Restaurant. As soon as I saw the roasted duck in the window AND easy street parking, I was sold.I ordered the roasted duck and BBQ pork over rice. They gave me a huge serving, with extra sauces and I was served very quickly! I'm giving a 4 star rating because I do wish that I had meatier pieces of duck so I know when I go back to request that but overall my craving was satisfied because the flavor was phenomenal!

Unique dishes from a local Chinese eatery - perfecto! Once again, they do it well. This time, I tried the fish clay pot, and it was on the spot! It was a full, heavy takeout container filled with fish filet (yep, deboned!) and tons of roasted tofu. The sauce goes well with rice. I heard that they are open for dine-in nowadays, but takeout is always popular. They are nice And took credit card last time I was back. I think they remodeled now too, so it should be more comfortable. Beware of parking! People who double-parked here got honked at and yelled at by tons of cars passing by and having to go around random cars double-parked. I saw it myself when I parked in an open spot and just watched it unfold in front of me. Lol. Then the driver who was double-parked just moved the car. There is parking usually around the corner or a half a block away - yep, not far at all.

Small restaurant located on Taravel outer sunset. It was my first time eating here and won't be my last! Service was great and friendly. We got a bunch of different dishes, my favorite is their soy sauce chicken. I loved the saltiness of it. They also have some already made Asian savory snacks to go and have duck/cha siu/chicken...My family didn't know they close at 6:30pm and we got there at 6pm. They were very friendly the whole time and we were the last table to leave. My family thought it was weird they were cleaning up and some workers were leaving, we didn't think it's because they actually closed. We thanked everyone at the end and the person chopping the meats at the front was so kind and actually thanked us for coming to support their business it was such a cute and wholesome moment. Overall Rating: 10/10

Delicious lunch w my parents. My dad is sharing that this is one of the best Roast Duck & Roast Chicken he has eaten in SanFran- 100% authentic and quality ingredients. Service fast and accommodating! The owner was super friendly and chatted stories w my dad for a bit in Cantonese. He doesn't speak English. All the signs/menu on the wall are displayed in Cantonese. They do offer a full color menu of dishes pictured in English and Chinese. Prices are very reasonable. I recommend all their bbq items - true Hong Kong style! What a great little neighborhood spot for take out, catering or a quick lunch w friends. BTW, my whole family is from Hong Kong :)

Win's for decades has been our "go to" when we have a taste for Chinese food. We have found the service always to be courteous and accommodating, despite the ownership and menu changes over the years. On what must be their fifth or sixth try, the new management at Win's has put together a terrific menu. At the beginning, they operated under the old management's menu, which emphasized soups, stir fries, and noodle dishes. They replaced that menu with a series of different ones that mostly emphasized roasted meats, clay pots, and dinner "sets" that were pictured but not explained. The current version of the menu is back to basics, with a bit of everything. Prices definitely are higher, but not grotesquely so and, more to the point, they are competitive. Over the course of menu run, you could order items from the old management's menu, but sometimes they didn't turn out as they used to. In fairness to Win's, the old items usually were terrific and up to or even better than the old standards, but sometimes they were conceived differently by the new chefs, so I decided to stick more to the current menu items. The last time I picked up food at Win's, I ordered off the brand new menu for my mother in law's birthday dinner. We got her favorite item, the sweet and sour pork, the pork and tofu clay pot, vegetarian ma po tofu, curry chicken, roast duck and pork rib combo, vermicelli with shredded duck and pickled vegetables, and the $5 jellyfish appetizer. The clay pot is my favorite Win's dish, with tender and savory pork belly and delicious firm tofu. The jellyfish was great and a super bargain at $5. The weakest dish was the ma po, which we still enjoyed despite the sauce being a bit thinner than we'd like. When I got home, I realized that my bags did not include the rice for three that I was certain that I ordered and suspect I was charged for. If I was charged, that would make three consecutive sets of Win's owners who owe me rice.

Win's has changed ownership since I last visited the place. My husband's favorite dish, salt and pepper fried fish is no longer on the menu. We won't be eating there since he doesn't like pasta, rice, Chinese barbecue items, seafood, or organ meats.I ordered a piece of char siu and a pound of roast pork to take to my parents, and it cost me $27! It took them 20 minutes to chopped the items. They were really slow chopping items for the dine-in crowd and the to-go orders. I felt sorry for the guy who just ordered a chopped item over rice. He was there before I got there, and he left with his order just before I got mine. Good luck on finding parking. My husband was double parking and circling the block as he waited for me. I haven't tried their char siu or roast pork. I assume it is good since there were a lot of patrons in the restaurant ordering their steamed rice plates.
