i we be sushi! my go-to neighborhood spot even after i moved from the mission. you gotta try the nasu-maki!! eggplant sushi with garlic oil, sooo good! so fresh, so delish, great service, great food! casual & intimate vibethey haven't figured out how to change the 2000s radio station though lol

We Be Sushi is a nice, intimate place within the busy streets of San Francisco, surrounded by numerous other sushi places. One thing that makes it stand out is the friendly service, which does a great job of making you feel right at home as they lead you to your seat.I decided to get the salmon nigiri alongside salmon rolls, which also came with a bowl of miso soup. The soup did not come with a spoon, and when I asked further I learned that miso soup was meant to be sipped from the bowl with chopsticks being used to get to any of the solid chunks. The sushi itself was a bit of a wait, but did a decent job of being filling while being reasonably priced. Although I'm not sure if I would likely end up in the area again, it was a very pleasant experience, which made up for a very unfortunate encounter I had earlier that night.

I love this spot! My wife and I like to come for afternoon dates. Today we enjoyed a large sake & large Sapporo, accompanied with: the seaweed salad, fried crispy chicken*, California roll, and the portobello maki*.*the fried crispy chicken has the best light, crispy, batter, and also is a good sized portion for sharing with a date. *portobello maki is amazingly satisfying. The rolled up pieces of meaty mushroom have a wonderful garlic flavoring to them. All of our order was enjoyed thoroughly today, and the service was friendly and quick!

I got the spicy tuna roll and chirashi bowl! Every bit of the chirashi bowl was fantastic! The fish tasted fresh, the tamago was sweet, and the eel was excellent. The chirashi bowl came as part of a lunch special so I also got a miso soup and salad- both were delicious and rounded out the meal. I got to taste my friend's tempura as well and it was nice and crispy. And lastly, I really enjoyed their spicy tuna roll. It was one of the best ones I've tried. We stopped by here on a whim and I'm glad we did!

The restaurant is cute. The menu has variety of items. However, the rice in the sushi tastes like they washed the rice with water from a hose located at the park. Or like the water used to wash the rice was run through a dirty sponge before being used to wash the rice. The rice had a funky taste to say the least. There was also a small roach in the rainbow roll. Miso soup is nothing to write home about. As much as I've been wanting to come here and try out the food I was sadly disappointed. Our waiter was very kind and friendly, but the food missed all the taste.

Haven't been here since they were in a different location. Still excellent, from the presentation to the sushi.The wakame was tasty with the sesame seed dressing. Had maguro nigiri, A+ by my rating scale, as the generous portion was melty in the mouth, not hard to chew. The hamachi & green onion roll was fresh as well- needed a little something something. A dip in soy sauce & wasabi did the trick. The miso soup came with the meal, nice touch. It wasn't too salty like a lot of restaurants.I appreciate they asked if I wanted water. Hate it when they automatically bring water without asking. Isn't that still a California water conservation law? The waiter was friendly & the service was great. I was there at 4p on a Tuesday, so it was just me & a woman who spent her entire lunch with her shoes on the upholstered chair seat, talking on the phone. Sigh.

After moving to this city about 6 months ago , it finally hit me. The craving for sushi that had been absent for so long finally reignited in me.Desperate to fill the void - I rushed to the closest spot I could find near my apartment and I found We Be Sushi.I ended up ordering a Kirin, the sushi dinner special, and a hand roll (the special was a toro hand roll). Everything was super fresh and scratched the itch I feeling. The stand o it for me was the Toro Hand Roll - would highly recommend anyone get that if they go.Will definitely be visiting one more time to explore the rest of the menu

This is the second time I've eaten at We Be Sushi and I'm again SATISFIED with the food, service and ambiance/ EVERYTHING at WE BE SUSHI. My 3 year old grandson loved sushi and the fried chicken nuggets. I enjoyed the dragon roll, cucumber and seaweed salad. Everything I ate was yummy!
