Van's Macarons

Van's Macarons was one of many vendors at a fans' fan fest yesterday at the Bloc 15 Event Venue. I love macarons, and I had purchased some in the past from another business in Castro Valley. Well, it is a bit far for me to travel to Castro Valley, using public transportation, to get my macaron fix. Van's is in Alameda on Bay Farm Island. Hurray! Thank goodness because I live in Alameda and I can either get there using public transportation or Lyft.Van's had a nice variety of macarons on display. I bought a half dozen in a box for $14.00. They had a chart of nine flavors. My six choices of macarons were ube (2), passion fruit, mango, strawberry and coffee. Their prices are also reasonable. I paid more elsewhere, as in SF at the Ferry Building.The ladies assisting me were pleasant and friendly. I forgot to ask them if they sell other flavors than what I had seen yesterday, such as pina colada, lychee, lemon, raspberry. At least I have their business card and I can always call for more information.

This is located inside of Serramonte. It's a small kiosk close to Target (near Uniqlo).They offer samples of all their flavors, so you can be sure you will enjoy your purchase.I tried their new Green Tea and Ferrero while my Dad tried Ube.I ended up getting 6 pieces of Green Tea and Ube.If you're a fan of Green Tea, you'll definitely enjoy this, and I will almost always order an Ube flavor by default!

Placed an order for a party - so easy to do, coordinate pick up and payment. The flavors we got were SO GOOD! Perfect consistency and flavorful. Def would order more!

I saw her booth at the San Juan Arts Festival. I really wanted the oreo one and told her I would get the 6 pack. I guess the 6 pack we dont get to choose which ones we get, which sucks. It's a random variety that she already has packed. It was hard to tell some of the flavors, I liked all of them accept for mango because well... I cant stand mango. If I saw her booth again I would definitely get more, but would just purchase the individual flavors I want so there is no surprise.

My mom ordered Van's Macarons for my baby shower last weekend, and they were a big hit!! We were able to order in advance, coordinate pick-up, and there was a great variety of flavors to choose from. My personal favorite was the passion fruit, but we got several flavors and liked them all.

I ordered raspberry and lychee flavored macarons from Van as favors for my wedding ceremony this last May. It was super easy to place an order with her and she was really good about following up to see if everything was to my liking. Her pricing is also an amazing deal. The macarons were amazing, all of my guests told me so during and after my ceremony. They were talking about it for days. Luckily for me, my uncle managed to grab some for me to try after everything settled down, since I was too busy taking pictures the day of! My only regret was that I should have ordered more because they were such a hit. I will definitely be ordering again from Van for all my future events.

Can't believe how beautiful, tasty and fairly-priced these macarons were. Van was super responsive via text and answered all of my questions. Will definitely order again!!

Ok. This is one extra ordinary experience. I drove in to Alameda from Manteca to meet a friend for dinner. I was supper early so I decided to look up a macaroon places on yelp, hoping to get some good new ones for my boyfriend's mom who is visiting from Brazil. I saw Van's macaroon under *hot and new*.. I thought to myself, ok I'm going to check it out. I usually like to support new and up coming businesses. Mind you. I am not from the area so I google myself to the pin point location on the map. After 8 minutes of walk... I ended in up a residential area. I puzzle .... and started to dial the number listed on yelp. It turns out, she makes them in her own home. She was kinda enough to drive out to tapioca express on encinal to give me the order. Her flavores changes every every week so we get different varieties. If you want to order a specific flavor that is not on her list of the week, it must be at least 12. I don't know if the price changes if you order more or less. All I can tell you is. It is the best macaroon I've eaten by far. It's chewy and just the right amount of sweet. And! She do Asian flavors! I.e. "DURIAN" I love it! Ooo. I'm so glad i found them at Serramonte mall in Daly city. I tried many different macarons before but they are too sweet for me but Van's Maccarons is just simple perfect and they fresh handmade them everyday. My kids love them so much. Their macarons have a perfect balance of crispy shells and soft, flavorful fillings. The variety of flavors is impressive. I tried their ube, coffee, and guava. Highly recommended!
