3/31/24 I came here for an early dinner (5:30PM) with two friends. I was able to find parking fairly easily even though I don't come to this area of the City often. Do be careful of the narrow streets though..Here's what we got to share:- Sichuan dumplings in red oil - Chicken mushroom truffle dumplings - Pork soup dumplings - Spicy dan dan noodlesNot pictured - Ordered a Singapore curry chicken and rice to go for my lunch tomorrow- Kimchi fried rice + korean beef dumplings for my sisterIt's a relatively small interior and it wasn't busy when we got there. Everything came out pretty quick. I honestly love eating dumplings so being able to choose a variety of them to eat in one sitting was great and dumplings are easy to share. Everything we had tasted great. Would definitely come back.

We were really looking forward to giant soup dumplings here after making the trek across town for plant shopping down the hill. The last time we went they said they were out of them, so before we sat down we asked hey do you have the giant soup dumplings and they said yes! so we sat down. The waiter came after what seemed like a long time given we were the first for evening service, and we ordered two giant soup dumplings. The waiter said they didn't have them and hadn't for some time!Suggestion: cross out the things on the menu you don't have any more. Bonus points for removing from the sign outside. Double bonus for saying you're sorry and offering to substitute something nice.

This place really went downhill since 2 years ago and prices are wayyyyy too expensive. Way too expensive. Not authentic. Too much sugar. Dan Dan noodles NOT Sichuan and NOT authentic. Sauce was too sugary with cheap ingredients. Chicken truffle dumplings lacked truffle and were dry! Where's the chicken fat? Service mediocre. Many other authentic choices in San Francisco such as Dumpling Kitchen and Kingdom of dumplings are much better at better prices.

I do agree with what others have said about this restaurant being overpriced... the crab XLB was just okay, actually kind of bland, as I was expecting a richer, more decadent flavor. I was pleasantly surprised by the vegetable chow mein though- a little oily but very tasty. We also ordered the pork potstickers which were dense with a nice, fluffy dough to soak up the pork juices and dumpling sauce. The 3 dishes came out to around $50.

The food was good and service friendly. The Har Gow was delicious 'tho a tad more expensive than what I'm accustomed to from Dim Sum restaurants ('tho the quality and size was better than most). I'd say, look at the menu and prices and you'll know what you're walking into as far as projecting a dining experience bill. I'm more accustomed to a no-frills Chinese (Cantonese) dining experience and I think we paid $60 and weren't full (still hungry) for lunch for 3, so at $20 per person it's on the higher end for us because we still wanted more. I'll say this 'tho, we ate everything and it was all good. So, what I challenge for us and our needs is either the pricing or the portions. The quality is there and good already. However, I know rent is high in San Francisco as are overhead costs and the general cost of living and necessity for restaurants to run at a profit with livable wage margins.

Dumpling are now part of the world stage as many countries have some kind dumpling .I am always in search of a good dumpling. United Dumplings unifies many types of different dumplings. United Dumplings has a strong Northern China influence which reflects in the food they offer at their Bernal Heights location on Cortland Avenue in San Francisco. One of my favorite dumplings is the Shanghai -style Xiao Long Bao dumpling. The pork soup dumpling at United Dumplings was juicy with the broth from inside and soft texture on the outside. The dumplings were in these little cups which resemble miniature candles. Each bite was fluid and savory. They do have good pairing offerings with the dumplings like their fried mushroom tempura. My surprise new favorite noodles are the Sichuan Dan Dan noodles which were soft and it has a tasty spicy pork sauce which was very flavorful. The sauce was not watery but had a thick broth savory sauce. It also had a sprinkle of peanuts which gave it an extra kick. Another pleasant surprise was their Steamed egg custard bao. I do like an egg a little runny. This egg custard bao was soft and in the middle it had a burst of egg yolk. My type of bao.Buy a vowel and get a bao that has a burst of egg yolkEnjoy some great dumplings at United Dumplings when it comes to dumplings they are no joke

United Dumpling, a delightful addition to the Cortland dining scene for a few years now, offers a variety of seating options, including outdoor seating. The soup dumplings are a burst of flavor and delight; the Siu Mai (shumai) are large and plump, full of flavor. The menu also features other items that perfectly complement the dumplings. We find ourselves returning to United Dumpling each time, and we're sure you'll love it too.

Mom Owned Restaurant in the Bay Area!Combining California flavors with Northern China roots, these dumpling will surely impress. They have 3 locations in the Bay Area - 2 in the San Francisco and one just over the bay bridge in Oakland. Their menu consists of dumplings, more dumpling, and noodles and dishes you can pair with dumplings! While we were excited and hoping to try the Jumbo Pork Soup Dumpling that they're known for, we were informed after that it's now only available at their Rockridge location if anyone is wondering! We did however get to try a couple of their other delicious dishes! We were definitely impressed by the quality of the food and you can tell that there is a lot of preparation involved. The dumplings tasted great and we can only imagine how amazing it'd be in its jumbo format! The Sichuan Dan Dan Noodles had a delectable combination of chili and peanut flavors that had us finish every last bit of the plate. The workers were very nice.Parking hard to find depending on time of day, it is sf after all haha but the place is cute and they have kids drawings on the walls. From their website, they also offer freezer and catering options if you want to bring their dumplings to your next friends/family get together as they'll surely be a hit. We definitely enjoyed the dishes we were able to try and they do make excellent dumplings here at United Dumplings!- -- -- -Sautéed Green String BeansSichuan Dan Dan NoodlesSichuan Dumplings in Red OilShrimp Dumplings

Yummy, quick, and casual with an affordable price tag--and not too crowded! Plus, it's woman-owned. I'm a big fan of the KBBQ beef dumplings, and the soup dumplings were delicious and piping hot. The Dan Dan noodles were solid, but to be honest, nothing that stood out as particularly special

They had really solid portions and a variety of options on the menu. Their chili oil wontons were really good and super flavorful. I appreciated that it wasn't drowned in oil too. Both the beef dumplings and potstickers were solid but weren't anything special. I think the meat inside and wrapping was a different texture than what I'm used to in a dumpling but the taste was good. The soup dumplings gave me a similar feel. Flavor was there but just wasn't anything super special
