Underdogs Tres is a solid spot for Mexican food, especially if you're a taco lover. They're known for their Nick's Way tacos, which are a game-changer -- combining a crispy shell with a soft tortilla for the perfect texture contrast. The flavors are spot on, with fresh ingredients and great seasoning. Their quesadillas are also worth mentioning -- cheesy, gooey, and just the right amount of indulgent. The vibe is laid-back, making it a great place to grab a casual bite. Whether you're a taco enthusiast or just in the mood for some good Mexican food, Underdogs Tres delivers!

A staple in my rotation. Great place for catching up with friends over margaritas and tacos, especially if you make it during their happy hour which I believe is 4:30-6pm on weekdays. $5 house margs and $3 tacos. Churros are always a hit, don't miss those.

Ordered a side of guacamole to go. It costs $6 and it was in a container barely bigger than their salsa container. It's barely enough for 2 chips. Incredibly overpriced and misleading.

Great place for Mexican food in the Sunset district! Food is tasty, prices are reasonable, service is great, the atmosphere inside is lively. What's not to like? I've tried the burrito and the quesadilla and they're both solid options. LOVE their green salsa. I drench my food with it everytime.Need to try the fish tacos next time. Will be back!

Recently visited again (first time at this new location which is not that new anymore) and loved it. Super yummy tacos and more. Service was also friendly. Really dark when you walked in but loved sitting in the back patio area where there's outdoor light and especially good on a nice day.Located on 9th Ave and Lincoln Way in the Inner Sunset; in between Um.Ma and Tartine Inner Sunset.

First off I got major food poisoning from their chicken soup. So much so that I was throwing up their orange soup for 2 days.Secondly the waitress needs to check her attitude. She asked me what was wrong and I told her there's too much ice in my Horchata and that the soup wasn't hot enough (this of course was before I got home and was throwing it up).She literally starts debating with me that everyone likes a lot of ice in their drinks and that's the way it is. I asked her for a replacement light ice one, and she said I'd have to buy it.Also we arrived 4 minutes before happy hour ended at 6pm and because she didn't get to us in time it ended! So we couldn't get the happy hour tacos.Food is good, except for the chicken soup. The tacos are good and so are the flautas. I had to chase her down to get the coconut pie slice that I ordered with our meal in the beginning. She was MIA and horrible. I wouldn't ho back to this location based on our horrible experience, food poisoning, and extremely difficult parking.

We went to this place randomly because it had such amazing reviews and it was legit. The service was super quick and came up with everything really fast. I had the fish taco and Nick's Taco asada and everything tasted amazing. My husband got the burrito and it was one of the best burritos I've ever had. The ambiance gives bar vibes, so it's not the best place if you're looking for a nice night out, but if you're looking for something casual, definitely check it out.

Our party of 10 inevitably found ourselves at Underdogs Tres on a Monday at 5pm because I'm convinced its nigh impossible to make a reservation or walk-in to a spot near irving and 9th for dinner elsewhere. We walked-in without a reservation and were seated immediately in the back patio where there are large picnic bench style tables. It was happy hour, and though they dont have the happy hour prices written down anywhere, our waiter was very patient and helped repeat the entire list multiple times for our large party throughout our meal. - Nachos Son Muy Grande ($14.95): this is a VERY LARGE PORTION. You've been warned, it's probably good for sharing between 2 as a large meal or between 3-4 people as a normal meal. You can add proteins for an additional charge, but even without this is topped with a generous amount of cheese, guac, pico and sour cream, not to mention the green and orange sauce bottles at the table. All atop a giant pile of thick and crispy nacho chips that are almost a little too crunchy.- House Margarita ($5, happy hour): a classic marg without frills that you couldn't ask more of for $5Underdogs is a great place for large groups and happy hour! Will probably find myself back here inevitably the next time we're trying to grab a large group dinner.

Had some good Mexican food at this Inner Sunset bar and grill. It may not be authentic, but that doesn't mean it sucks. Underdogs Tres is a popular place judging by the crowds and whatever. Prices are okay on drinks and food. This is actually pretty affordable for all you can get here. Came at dinner. It's a lot more like a bar that has food than a restaurant. The bar is the main attraction so we sat there. Even though it was busy, it still wouldn't take that long. There's a lot of the typical Americanized Mexican stuff. It's about $10 for the House Margarita, the signature cocktail. This is made with agave, El Destilador Blanco, and a lime. Pretty good even with being basic. The food was better though. It's about $9 for the Grilled Vegetarian Burrito. This has cabbage, grilled vegetables, guacamole, Monterey Jack cheese which I left off, pico de gallo, pinto beans, and red onions. Filling and good. These were enough for us because we got stuffed. Good stuff as far as not being authentic Mexican food. It's got plenty to drink and eat here. There's a few things for vegans and vegetarians.
