We stumbled on Tsing Tao when we went to an exhibit at the Palace of Fine Arts nearby. Excellent lunch specials with lots of choices. The chow fun was perfect: smoky from the wok. Vegetables were fresh and delicious. New fave Chinese in SF.

It's one of those places where you're just drawn to it because it matches your culinary vibe.This is one of my go-to lunch places even though it's all the way across town for me. It's busy for lunch, but get there at opening time before it gets crowded.Their lunch specials are fairly priced, service is fast (before the crowds) and they are consistently good.

Food: noodles were a premium with three ingredients: barely a piece or two of each included in a large amount of noodles. Beef with mushrooms and bamboo shoots was a large period and was flavorful. Walnut chicken was a bit skimpy compared and a white sauce was interns le and almost frightening. Flavor and texture were good.Service: it was an app purchase for pickup: everything was prepared and ready for pickup as expected.I try this place every so often for as long as they have existed. I feel it is representative of American Chinese cuisine intended for a non-Chinese market. The model has been around for decades! And so has this bastion at the end of nowhere...I always feel treated well by the staff. I sense they are very busy as their convenient location is preferred.Across for two giant retailers, CVS and Andronico's could by be better anchors.The block Ting Tao is situated on has an amazing assortment of restaurants. Yet, I will likely order from Tsing Tao without blinking!

I have been going to Tsing Tao for 20 years and this family owned restaurant is one of the best Chinese restaurants in the city!Lunch specials are plentiful and delicious. Wait time for a piping hot meal of your choice is minimal and a complimentary cup of soup and hot tea is always given as soon as you sit down.Dinners are reasonably priced and abundant and delicious. I usually have a doggy bag for the leftovers.I highly recommend you try it and see for yourself. Don't be afraid to ask for any special requests because they are happy to accommodate your individual choices and taste.

Great little neighborhood place. Friendly service, very barebones interior with very little sound absorption. One of my favorites here is the prawns with black bean sauce. The eggplant with pork is also tasty. The scrambled eggs with prawns is delicious. The salt & pepper pork chops can be a hit or a miss. Mostly very good but once we got a dish of fried bones. Like they took all the meat off, breaded and deep fried the remnant. Thankfully that's only once, but still I worry about the inconsistency. 3.5 stars for now.

This a great and much needed outer Richmond joint. It's family run and the service is always polite and fast. The prices have gone up a tad but the quality and flavor are top notch! The real deal is in the lunch specials. And there are plenty! The interior leaves a bit to be desired, say in comparison to Dragon Beaux, but the soul is in the food. Try it!
