Very cute place. I didn't think it would be as spacious inside based on the outside. I went on a Saturday afternoon around 130p. There were people in there and we got seated right away. There was a DJ there. I thought that was a cool addition to the ambiance. I had the Shashuka. It was very saucy. I wish they provided more pita bread because I had a lot of tomato sauce left. The sauce didn't quite taste homemade but more out of a can. I could be wrong but to me it didn't taste "fresh". It was still good though. The egg was cooked just right. My friend had the Turkish scramble. He said it was good. I could've scooped some of his scrambled eggs to mix with my tomato sauce. I would come back again. The table next to us had a huge salad. It looked so good. I'll have to try that next time I come back....with that said, I'd definitely come back.

Love this spot! It's super cute & cozy and the food is so underrated. I like how simple the menu is. We ordered the trio dip platter, red lentil soup and braised lamb shoulder. All the dips are so delicious! I love the muhammara here, it's soo good. Also, the lentil soup really surprised me. It's creamy and is perfect for a chilly day. The lamb was so tender and flavorful. Also the rice with the yogurt was creamy and perfectly spiced. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Would definitely come back here!

The music and interior décor create such a great vibe here. We made a reservation just to be safe, and the moment we walked in, the incredible aroma had us excited. The portions were just right, allowing us to try a variety of dishes, all packed with bold and delicious flavors.Highly recommend the lamb shoulder and Manti, both were outstanding!

I've been to Troya for brunch several times, and have always had a pleasant experience. My fav orders are the turkish breakfast for 2 (which has the best honey and yogurt spreads - so smooth and creamy - but also too many chunks of cheese for my personal liking) and the shakshuka. The ambiance in here is pretty chill - I've never had to make a reservation since there's often available seating. Service is also good. The quality of ingredients feels good quality, though it is quite expensive and the portion sizes are on the small end. Not my first choice if I'm hungry but a great delicate experience in the Pac Heights neighborhood!

Came in for a weeknight dinner and the atmosphere was so relaxed! It had a golden glowy warm ambience and wasn't packed at all - almost like a coffee shop after hours. My friend and I tried the baked eggplant (toasty and tender, almost creamy), hummus with lamb (could have an entire meal of just this + pita), and braised lamb shoulder (so indulgent, also complex with nuttiness/a bit of tartness). Chill spot, good food. A little pricier for the portion sizes but worth stopping in!

I went to church in SF for a bit and so wanted something warm to eat after service. After looking on Yelp a bit, I found Troya. The place is really bright and clean, with marble tabletops. I ordered a salmon dish and some baklava dessert, and the total came out to $50 for one person which I thought was a bit much for not a lot of quantity of food, hence my 4 star rating. I do think this would be a fun place to eat at just to grab snacks or if you're with a group of people who are not too hungry in a nice-looking establishment. The service was good, people kept checking up on me, and the staff was friendly. The food was good but not super memorable, except this one baklava I had that I think was a chocolate one, so that was unique for me since I had not had that before.

Amazing and fresh mediterranean food. Light bites and wine turned into ordering more and more plates, and being quite filling. I recommend the falafel, it was perfectly crispy and soft on the inside. Service was attentive and prompt, overall very good experience. Inside is very cutely decorated, lots of fresh florals and wall art.

The food is very simple, clean and light, normal serving size for the price, I didn't find anything special about the dishes but it was nice. Service is very attentive and fast. The ambience is pretty normal nothing crazy, not quiet not too loud either. I enjoyed our dinner however I wasn't a wow for me.

Not bad! Street parking. Easy to find midday or off hours. Overall enjoyed it. I really have no complaints. I would say the flavors could be a tad bit stronger but it's a decent spot for lunch.

Troya is a Turkish restaurant on Fillmore Street in Pacific Heights. The atmosphere is trendy/bougie. Occasionally they have a DJ spinning. It is very stark white inside with a mural of a blond lady (basically the opposite of a more traditional, Turkish maximalist aesthetic).Troya has some of the best vegetarian Moussaka ($23). It is a large portion and a hardy dish served with rice, I often take some home with me. I love the addition of lentils and garbanzo beans, and I wish I had thought of that myself! The Moussaka is not photogenic and is particularly excellent during the rainy season. I know Turkish cuisine is rarely spicy but it could be improved with a side of chile flake (maybe a Urfa biber), and/or a small salad. The red lentil soup ($9) has good flavor and is a generous size, comes with a side of bread. The "Turkish Scramble" ($16) at brunch was also outstanding, I loved the flavors of tomato and mint blended with egg. My Turkish tea was made incorrectly at Troya, which really rubbed me the wrong way at first but eventually I got over it. It is clearly not a traditional restaurant. I have seen the neighborhood clientele coming by Troya for baklava and Turkish delights. I have never tried it here but it's popular.
