Good, no frills burger joint that has a lot of other food options. Got the bacon cheeseburger which tasted like a classic no frills burger. Burger patty had good flavor. Fries were good and their cappuccino shake was good. A pretty filling meal. Also had their breakfast sandwich with sausage last time around and it was good.

Great place, service is consistent and kind to people. Good Food, with a price that never disappoints. It is very traditionally old-school great restaurant for lunch.

3 for most people and a 4 for me. I get here every so often and realized tonight it has been 7 years since I last wrote a review here. A great place for me when it is alone time and I want to eat some nostalgia on my own. My dad would sneak me here sometimes when I was a kid.Only locals , Kaiser employees and natives eat here pretty much. Been eating here since the Doggie Diner closed way back in the '70s. Service can be slow so be patient and give time. I ordered a dog and fries ahead of time and it still took me 20 minutes. So order ahead unless you have time. I just love how they stuff the bag with fries and their Schwarz sausages are so nice grilled.

After living in SF for nearly 30 years and driving by here countless times, I finally tried out Tony's and I wasn't disappointed. The service was great and the food was good. I got a cheeseburger with a side of onion rings. I am very particular about what I consider good onion rings, and these were excellent. The burger was as good as it should be and my daughter totally enjoyed her hot dog and crinkle fries. Like I mentioned, the service was good. The 2 people I interacted with were very friendly.

I went here for lunch when visiting SF and it was fantastic. The burger was cooked as I ordered it and the shake was amazing. I highly recommend it. Total old school vibe which I loved as well.

So maybe this place won't win any Michelin stars for fine dining or ambiance, but it really has something. Situated between the Richmond district and western addition, this place has been around forever. For very good reasons. Very solid slow cooked fast food...from burgers, chili dogs , fried burritos and chicken...this place is a hangover persons salvation. The interior is small, drab and I would eat outside weather permitting. No bathrooms . The service is fine..not bad...just straight forward. Did I mention the crinkle cut fries? The milkshakes ? Honestly it is very much the best of what it is...

This place is a S.F. classic opening in 1972 . Known for the Burgers & hot dogs, fries & milkshakes, in an old-school diner with cable-car decor. I really was tryna see OG l. I do miss the large size order of onion rings too. This location has a iPad ordering system via Credit card and they also do have the old school walk in cashier. On the burgers they have temp levels and i ordered mines medium rare and it came out delish. This place is great for mellow vibes

Upon arrival the door was open and the person behind the counter announced that they were closed even though the website said hours were open at time of entry.Waited 15 minutes, but order was inaccurate and unfortunately paid extra for what I didn't get and discovered when I arrived home. Living on a strict senior budget so going out for a burger and fries is a luxury. Will have to wait for awhile before thinking of a return visit, but management should be aware of poor service received on 2/7/25.
