CASH ONLY!Location: Their is very limited parking around the area and no seating at the restaurant. The restaurant is like cafeteria style. You wait in line, tell the workers what you want, and then pay. Food: The food here is pretty good for takeout dim sum. I really liked their sticky rice and shumai. They are decently price for the size of the dim sum pieces. Service: The service here is very quick. Their might be so language barriers but you can always jut point to what you want. They package the food for you and get you in and out very fast. Overall, if you have cash and looking for a dim sum takeout place, this is not a bad option!

This is my new favorite dimsum to go. The line is a little bit long but it's totally worth the wait. The dumplings' skin is thinner. The quality of the dumplings is much better than other dimsum places. The ambiance is awesome. The servers are friendly and efficient. Highly recommended it.

Came back for round 2! This time tried the fried chicken drumsticks -- thumbs down. They're big and tempting but lack flavor and taste like chicken that's about to go bad so they coat it with batter and fry it up. Fried fish -- I think this was $10/lb but honestly I have no idea because there are no prices posted. Again these taste like frozen chemically treated fish that they coated in batter and seasoning. I would not recommend.Tried the fried shrimp dumplings, which were also way too deep fried and lacked flavor. Also tried the fried pumpkin balls -- you would like this if you like a sweet dessert type of heavy fried mochi. Along with a bunch of other typical dim sum orders, somehow I spent $50! It's too easy to get carried away with ordering food here since prices are unclear there's a pressure to place your order quickly as the line is queuing impatiently.

3.5 starsThis dim sum takeout place is on our way to visit grandma, we first noticed it when we saw a line outside and decided to give it a try. This is a cash only place which offers a variety of dim sum and cooked dishes made fresh daily. Based on what we've tasted so far, I'd agree with the 3.5 rating; some of the items were pretty descent, a few others we didn't like it too much. Prices of the food appeared to be a little cheaper, service can be slow at times especially if only one lady taking order/packing food, hence the line. It obviously has quite a few loyal customers. Our repeat orders so far were Har-gow, siu-mai, daikon cake, chive dumplings, large and smaller baos. The congee was OK, Chinese tamale didn't have much taste nor fillings. Sticky rice balls, chow fun, fried dumplings were good/average as well. For the convenience, easy parking and freshness of the dim sum, we are glad that we found Three Star, will likely visit again.

Short line when I go on the weekday. Their baked BBQ buns are the best. I have been to about 1/2 of dozen dim sum places and no one have more tastier BBQ buns. The place is clean and service is quick.

Cash only. Closed every Monday. Low price therefore long line. Currently, $3.40 for 3 pieces of most dim sum. Lunch special is $7.50 for 2 items with rice - can't beat that. What's good: head their custard bao (steam style) is good (haven't tried yet), Their pan fried turnip cake is good (I tried and can contest), they have fried chestnut cake (which is rare).

Solid, inexpensive, old school, dim sum. Go early in the day because they run out of stuff.
