My favorite bar to go to in San Francisco. It's low key and everyone is grown. I love it

My friend from New England was in town and we wanted to find a Boston dive bar to watch the Celtics game. This was indeed that bar. Probably the highlight is they have a photo of Saddam Hussein in a Yankees hat, which is pretty funny.

Great bar great atmosphere greater bartender. Ask for Kurtis! Will definitely be back!

Really enjoyed this place, especially with the breeze coming in from the front doors. Really good service (one bartender - female, handled the bar like a breeze), huge and clean one-person bathrooms, clean, pretty area. Plenty of TVs, different channels. Clientele was truly lovely, someone bought us a round and they and others offered great recommendations on where to go for dinner! We took their advice and were not disappointed! Even wanted to go back later that night, so that's a pretty good experience! :)Thought I had photos but couldnt find any :(Did not require proof of vaccination at time of our visit.*full disclosure - tourist review*

This is a review of another kind. While the ambiance and vibe of the bar are very cool, local and friendly, our interaction was one of a more personal nature. My 8 year old niece had a difficult personal loss, and we asked to use the bar bathroom. The kindness and warmth with which the bartender, and especially the manager on duty reacted was exceptional. Laurie, the manager, not only checked in with a neighborhood group to try to locate the stolen item, but followed up with us days later, to make sure we were doing ok. So far above and beyond. Its rare to find a business with so much kindness and heart. I will go have a drink there when I am in SF, for the rest of my life. We cannot thank Red Jack Saloon enough for their humanity and thoughtfulness. Support this business-they support the community.

After our trip to Alacatraz, my bf and I were walking back to Chinatown and came across The Red Jack Saloon. It was literally across from Pier 33 off Bay st so we went in for a drink. We met the nicest person ever! Laurie! Such a gem. This place was nice and clean and drinks were amazing! So glad we stopped in. The atmosphere is charmingly unpretentious, with dim lighting, and a mix of locals and newcomers who all feel at home. Drinks are affordable and consistently well-made, whether you're in the mood for a cold beer or a simple cocktail. We moved to the city not knowing anyone. The owners treated us like family and gave us great recommendations to experience the city! We met amazing friends and have such great memories at this spot.

Jimmy the "bouncer" was very rude and kept looking at our table in an uncomfortable way the whole time. My party of 5 spent $400+ and Jimmy kept harassing us the entire time coming over. One star because our groups experience was so negatively affected by Jimmy the "bouncer".

Great ambience and crowd. Real SF vibes! Bartenders were attentive and very friendly. Always try to find a new spot for a drink every time I'm in SF, but this will definitely be on repeat!
