I got a slice of pepperoni and a slice of the margherita. The margherita was a little disappointing - it was just a regular slice of cheese (i.e., too cheesy for a margherita pizza), with some chopped basil. The pepperoni was solid, but could probably use a little less cheese on it too. The crust was nicely baked, and the slice folded well. You can walk right down to ocean beach after you've gotten your pizza. All in all, decent, cheesy, slices by the beach. I'd come back for the vibes

Pizza is good, sausage is minced fyi that can be different. Staff is super nice, it's close to the beach which is cool in the summer... depending can be cold but that's sunset. Lady owner/manager is rude. We had 10 people she said they couldn't accommodate us inside. Then she had an attitude she had to set up a table outside, which was her idea. There was hair in once slice of pie so she comp'd a slice... then charged us for a slice. When trying to explain the credits and debits of a slice she rolled her yes. Unbelievable Anyways, pepperoni is bomb, everyone else was cool.

This place was 5 stars! No 6 stars! Sooo good oh my! So cheesy and honestly it tasted like a slice of NY pizza. Glad my friend ordered from here because this place was fantastic! Highly recommend this pizza if you are in SF. We didn't eat in, but everything was amazing.

Stopped by after passing by this place for months. My friend and I ordered a slice on a nice sunny day and they brought it out for us to eat at the outside patio. The big wave Dave was delicious! An elevated Hawaiian pizza with bacon, cilantro, crushed pineapples, and jalapeños. 5/5 I'm gonna need a full pie of this soon! The Dimitri: my friend really enjoyed this one, pepperoni, sausage, and freshly sliced mushrooms. What's there not to like 5/5Service was quick and simple, just order right at the front if you are not dining in.

We ordered four large pizzas for a party. I do have to say that as far as taste, we did receive compliments from the guests. The only thing I would mention is that several of the gas mentioned the pizza was burnt. It was slightly uncomfortable because we did not have the luxury of being able to call in that moment or return the pizza as it was being eaten during the party. If it was just us at home, we could have called and brought in the pizza. But we had no choice, but to have the guests eat the pizza. For the price, that was disappointing for us.We do love the spaghetti, though!

Isn't marketing great? Given their name, it's pretty much guaranteed that if you had heard about this place but didn't know any of the specifics, you'd at least know where it's located. Although, for anyone that's out in this part of the Sunset, you probably know The Pizza Place on Noriega all too well! Not just because of their food or the fact that they are one of the few pizza places in the area (though, that seems to be changing), but because they've been here for so long! Which, of course, only makes it even worse that it's taken me so long to finally come here...While it's obviously take me a while to check out The Pizza Place on Noriega, I'd like to state in my defense that I'd actually tried them before many years ago. It's just that the conditions weren't exactly ideal for me to judge them on (a cold slice of their cheese pizza after having a few beers at my friend's BBQ in Golden Gate Park). So, needless to say, I was actually kind of excited to try their pizza straight out of their over. The only challenge was for my buddy and I to figure out which pies to try. While the menu doesn't seem super extensive, there are over a dozen varieties to try, along with the usual option to create your own. Of course, that doesn't even mention the mix of appetizers, grinders (essentially sandwiches), pastas, and salads they have to offer as well!-- BUFFALO WINGS - Spicy Chicken Wings Dressed in Housemade Buffalo Sauce and Served with Celery Stalks, Carrots, and Blue Cheese Dressing...$17 (13 Pieces)(https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/the-pizza-place-on-noriega-san-francisco-2?select=WOZzl7L7RwgkfOFENBMSsQ)The price seemed a little hefty at first, but you sure do get a lot! Plus, the wings are huge! I especially liked how juicy and crispy they were (the sauce quickly softened them). As for taste, it was a bit acidic to me, but far from the worst I've had.-- HALF & HALF SPECIALTY PIZZA...$37.50 (Large)- ROTTEN ROBBY - Sausage, Mushroom, Pesto, Jalapeno, Tomato Sauce, and Cheese- THE DIMITRI - Sausage, Zoe's Pepperoni, Garlic, Mushroom, Tomato Sauce, and Cheese(https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/the-pizza-place-on-noriega-san-francisco-2?select=QKjyg65a09GtrEmhS-WW4w)It may be more boring (read: classic) in flavor, but I thought the Dimitri was better. The sausage was juicy, the pepperoni was meaty and I liked the garlickiness to it. As for the Rotten Robby, it was fine, but it felt like the pesto overpowered the toppings and conflicted with the tomato sauce. As far as service goes, I thought it was great. Our server was super nice and our food came out fairly quick. Given that, as well as how the food is a solid value (the portions are generous), it's not hard to see why so many folks love this place. Which, in turn, is why I feel a little bad for rounding down from THREE AND A HALF STARS. At some point, I certainly wouldn't mind coming back to try my luck with one of their other specialty combinations, but I'll probably reserve that return trip for whenever my friends nearby are feeling a slice again.

Meat lovers had too much meat which made the crust soggy but I actually love their other pizza options. I like the thin crust and the fact that I can add ricotta cheese! The tomato sauce here doesn't hurt my tummy. Good quality ingredients.

Buy a pizza kit, go home and throw a pizza party! I got a medium size pizza kit for less than $20, which came with a soft raw dough, plenty of yummy sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese. I had my own pepperoni slices from the supermarket as topping and enjoyed making my own pizza. As according to the nice man who works here, bake in very hot 450-500 degree oven for 8-10 minutes. I don't have a pizza stone, but I've put the baking sheet in the oven so it's super hot and slid the pizza on wax paper to the sheet, so there will be a nice crisp to the bottom of the crust!I suggest getting this kit, invite friends to bring their own toppings and have a bake fest!!!

I remember when this place was new in the neighborhood, they really help liven up the area and in my opinion bring in quality businesses around them. My family ordered their wings, salads and pizza for years, taste and service wise it was a favorite for a long time. We had one bad experience which was enough to stop us from going for quite some time. When we finally went back months later it seemed different, pizza seemed chewy, wing still good but service was lacking. Since, we have been back a couple more times with no improvement and it's sad to say we have no interest in going back again.

Wow the lady manager has got some major attitude problem. It's really sad how bad this place has gotten. Unfortunately I, or no one in our group of 4 different households, will be back here again. It started from walking in the door being asked where we wanted to sit - her approach and tone was a bit jarring, abrupt and felt more like an interrogation than being seated. Weird! She said something about only sitting us if our party were all here within 10 minutes. I didn't hear properly what she said cause she was far head of us and not making eye contact as she spoke. Anyway we sat at a picnic table outside, which we realized would be a tight squeeze for 7 people in our group. It was very tight when 10 mins later the others in our group showed up with one extra person also. Should not be a big deal, we asked the waitress if we could use two tables and put them together- the back space was empty- the indoors had 4 customers in it. She seemed very hesitant and on edge, she said she had to ask the manager. The manager came out guns blazing , very sternly telling us we couldn't move the tables Two male kitchen staff followed her out and were standing behind like bodyguards or something . Super creepy and weird, and made us really uncomfortable . When we asked ok can we sit at two tables separately instead, it was a no and something mutttered something about a reservation as she turned and walked away in what seemed like an exasperated state. We all just stared at each other and it was super awkward, we talked about going elsewhere but we had already ordered fries for the kids and they arrived as we discussed this. So we stayed and got mediocre pizza with a floppy middle- I had to use a fork and knife to eat the first part of my pizza!! that was a first. This time before this visit , about a month back, my friend kept talking about how the 'lady' was making her feel uncomfortable and she felt they weren't wanting our kids in there. I told my friend she was being silly, this place is always been family friendly. I had no interaction that time with the ' lady' she was referring to- now that I have had an interaction with her , I owe my friend an apology!Do yourself a favor and find a friendlier restaurant with better pizza. Such a pity this place used to be great. Bye for good pizza place.
