The Den

I looooove tiki bars and am so excited one opened in the Mission, no matter how tiny!It's amazing that they created this closet of a hidden bar literally inside Wes Burger. I just wished they had more cocktails/mixed drinks! (Might be an alcohol license thing.)We all got their pre-mixed drink and it was good. Not the best tiki cocktail I've had, but the novelty of the spot and the friendliness of the bartender made it all the better.

Tiki bar with only space for six people? What's not to like. Great atmosphere, fast drinks, friendly bartender. Absolute legend.

I'm wondering how I've never been to the den before as it's been open for about 2 1/2 years and is such a little gem that makes my heart sing. It's located next-door to the restaurant Wes Burger but operates on the same license and has plenty of cool beer and wine options for you to choose from. We ended up measuring the square footage of this little bar last night and it's about 13 x 8' so take that into account if you're planning on bringing a large group because the capacity is probably 10 to 12 people max.Like I mentioned above there's a great little selection of craft beers from all over the bay area and a few wine selections too. They also have the beer made famous in Austin Texas, Lonestar if you're wanting something on the lighter side. The kitchen was closed but The woman working in the kitchen had some extra fried chicken laying around and was nice enough to give us a couple pieces before composting the rest.Our bartender was super friendly and given the amount of people in there it's pretty easy to be attentive but mad props to him. If you're looking for a cool off the beaten path bar in the Mission this is a really great option to show people from out of town how creative you have to be in San Francisco to maximize square footage

The Den is located in the Mission district, right next to Wes Burger and basically opens as Wes Burger is closing on Fri & Sat nights from10:30pm-3am. This is literally the smallest but one of the most lively bars I've been to. There're only about 4 barstools so it's mostly only standing space. It gets pretty crowded but def worth checking out! Good amount of drink choices; most drinks are served in cans - from wine to sake. They also have the ultimate late night comfort food served from 11pm-3am Fri & Sat. Nashville chicken & tot skewers - this is next level greatness. The chicken is super crispy, juicy and has a nice kick. The crispy tots and pickles are the perfect addition Smoked brisket tots - HUGE portion, def worth $10Double smash burger - my friend had this and said it was really good Blood orange collins - super delicious! they change their punch flavors constantly

Pretty cool little spot. It is very small but totally worth checking out. The music was great and the decor/lights are cool. They make a special drink each day. Mine was a hibiscus margarita. They are super sweet but they also have beer/wine too. The best part is that at 11am they serve late night food! It comes from their restaurant wesburger and it's actually pretty good.

Such a hidden gem! Connected next to Wes Burger, The Den offers Beers, sake, and a special punch to refresh your soul after a long day. Found this place at random while waiting for a table at Mission Chinese. Super friendly service, great talk about Mission culture and so much eye candy. My favorite piece was a Dilophosauras hanging off the wall. It may be small, but it is abundant in character and charm. Stop in for a drink next time you're exploring the Mission.

Fun little closet-sized bar within a burger restaurant. The decor is tiki, but they don't serve any hard alcohol. Just an assortment of canned beverages.

The cutest, tiniest, funkiest bar! Get ready to be cozy with friends and strangers. But the drinks are tasty, you can get food from Wes Burger delivered in there, and the decorations... are totally worth all of it! Highly recommend you bop into this very SF tiny bar.
