Connection is the last bar in san francisco, about 1 block from daly city border.
Darts
Pool
There is a lot of space.
The bar has gone through serious updating but still keeps a lot of the vintage atmosphere...including cigarette burns on the bar.
19 chairs at the counter. Booths and tables can accommodate setting for 32 more.
I love this stained glass version of the bar name.
Jameson and coke back
Nice fireplace
This bar has a pay for play pool table. It costs 1 dollar a game. The table is a 4x8 table, usuall for most bars.
Darts are a fairly new addition to the connection. There is one all female team here called the connectionettes.

Some friends and I were in the area on a Friday and found ourselves at the connection later in the evening. We had a fairly large group, about 10 people, and we all got beers. The bartender was a little brash but friendly nonetheless. The bar is filled with locals; my gf and i were talking to a regular who was sitting at the end of the bar and very kind.An older Hispanic man in his 50s-60s did not like one of my friends for whatever reason, maybe what he was wearing were gang colors? Or maybe he mistook him for someone else? But the man started to threaten my friend in the middle of the bar. At one point he went outside to get on the phone, i assume to call other people. All while this is going on, there was a karaoke mic set up and people were randomly yelling while other people in the bar watched sat around and watched. We quickly finished our beers and decided to leave. Aside from the lady we were talking to, most of the people in this bar didn't seem too friendly. If you're not a local/regular, you'll get the feeling that you're not welcome here, at least that's the vibe I got.

A neighborhood dive bar for sure. It was cool to see locals come in to chit chat with the bartenders. Chill crowd, cheap drinks.

Cool place for a cold beer and some pool. Sometimes they have events and help out children with their toy drive for Christmas. Everyone is respectful.

I've been wanting to check this place out for a long time since it is close to my house. I am glad that i finally did - it is a cozy, clean, well organized bar. There are joke box, pool table, darts l, tvs and inexpensive drinks. Carlos, the bartender, is genuinely nice dude... 5 stars!

Great collage mural of San Francisco scenes behind the bar. It's a Clamper bar, and they generally know good bars.

Stepped into the connection, because I wanted to connect my hand with a nice cold brew. Never been here before but my dad lived a block away back in the days so yeah, there's a child hood connection to this neighborhood. A dive bar in every sense of the word. The faithful patrons of The Connection truly make this otherwise quasi quiet watering hole come to life.Nothing fancy, nothing to neighborhoody or kitschy, nothing sketchy either. Just some middle aged - blue collar - highly entertaining city worker type folks. However, the fireplace gives this joint some panache. One guy at the bar, a real big dude - imagine if you will a 6'4", 266lb pregnant man. Like literally! He had the same physique as Kate from Jon & Kate plus 8, before her sextuplet delivery. Anyways, me and my homeboy Kris were in an intense game of 8 ball on their $1 pool table. We were simply enjoying our $3.25 Hefeweizens when the aforementioned bar patron pauses from random bar banter of F-bombs and Beyotches between himself and the KTVU news staff on the tv and challenges me to some pool. Pregnant man was a pool shark! He starts shooting my balls in while talking about Jeet Kune Do. I'm like WTF? Back to the game - he schools me and gets the 8 ball in on a 2 rail bank shot while I have 3 balls remaining on the table?!? I later find out he's a security guard - ohhh, that's why! The orange vest guy, who had a striking resemblance to Ned Flanders from the Simpson's, was GENUINELY happy that we came in. He starts introducing us to the bartendress and says they hardly have any customers during the weekdays even though they have $7 pitchers, but it's $8.50 for a pitcher of Hef. He also told us about The Connection's karaoke Fridays @ 9pm. These guy's vibe and energy was surreal. It's like in the movie Stepbrother's when the two brothers start making bunk beds after finally connecting and bonding for the first time. The patrons make you feel welcome. Karaoke Fridays at 9pm. I just might have to.
