Wagyu fries with (I think) kewpie mayo. Umami filled but also hard to eat all in one sitting. Handful at a time is delicious!

Online ordering is super easy and efficient. Was lucky to get in there with no line. Service was incredibly friendly, everyone was ready to help, Guy himself was behind the counter and could have been sweeter! They have beautiful cuts of meat and are super knowledgable. I didn't have space for a burger today, but always have space for a wagyu chocolote chip cookie, don't sleep on this hidden gem! It might be one of the best cookies I've had. Yes, it's a $9 cookie but it's probably at least 2 or 3 servings, so worth it in my opinion!

I believe this is one of the best burgers and fries in San Francisco, and if you're on a burger crawl, this place must be on your list. The quality of the beef is excellent, and it's one of the few spots that uses and sells tallow. I found the lean-to-fat beef ratio to be ideal for my taste. When I'm treating myself to a burger as a cheat meal, I don't mind the price, so I always go for the burgers at Niku! The service here is outstanding. Guy and his team were a pleasure to interact with. Please note that the food is takeout only, so plan to enjoy it at the nearby outdoor benches.

This is a review specifically of the wagyu chocolate chip cookie. I thought it was very expensive and greasy for what it was. I also think that the chocolate ratio was almost too chcoolatey. I honestly didn't really think that the flavors went well together. I would not recommend the cookie to anybody. The service in the shop is extremely good though! All the staff asked us if we needed help and brought us a cookie quickly.

We came here after a friend raved about it being the best burger. You know it's going to be expensive when the menu doesn't even list the prices. We got everything on the menu (I think they called it a trifecta) + a chocolate chip cookie with wagyu fat and it came to a total of about $75. Each burger costs $26.The service was okay, I do think they could have been a bit friendlier and welcoming. Since there's no seating, we decided to transport the food to another location and eat there. Within 5-10 minutes, it felt like the bun had already gotten a bit soggy. The meat was wonderfully medium rare. I think I liked the regular smash burger better, but they were both good. The fries were so nice and crispy, but the aioli on it was very salty. These were the biggest disappointment for me.My favorite item was actually the chocolate chip cookie. Even when it wasn't hot, the chocolate was so melty and it was the perfect texture. I would totally go back just for this! Overall, the burgers are very very solid, but I don't believe they're worth the price.

Updated to a five! Was brought to my attention that the lunch service is more of a side thing to thank their customers. Would recommend this place 100% The food and service here were 5/5. The gentleman greeting and taking orders was kind and efficient! We went on a Saturday around 12 and there was 0 line. Smash burger is definitely the star of this restraunt. Ambiance in the restraunt itself was pleasant - there aren't places to sit though indoorsOnly knock one star off because of lack of dining areas. Will definitely be coming back though and getting waygu burger meat to go and cook at home.

After a memorable trip to Niku next door a few months ago, we knew that we needed to visit this butcher. We have a fresh appreciation for wagyu after returning from a trip to Japan and know that this butcher is likely the only place that can come close to recreating our trip's foodie experience. The knickknack decor is delightful and charming. The meat itself is absolutely top-notch. Expect to pay top dollar for top-tier goods. If you are looking for the best quality protein in the city, here it is! You will not be let down.

I finally had the chance to try Niku's butcher shop, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the wagyu burger with fries, and both were delicious. The burger was juicy, with the side of kimchi balancing the richness of the wagyu. The fries, cooked in wagyu fat, were also delicious. I had hoped to try the wagyu cookie, but they had just run out and were making more at the time.It came to about $40 for the burger and fries, which is a bit pricey, but definitely worth the experience!

This is one of the verified authenticated butcher shops that sell A5 Wagyu and all assortments of expensive cuts. This place is pretty cool to check out for your meat needs however they serve food as well! Important: They serve food only on Tuesday-Saturday 11 AM-4 PM!Ambiance: It's an upscaled modern butcher shop, there are displays of all the upper echelon of meat cuts to exist here. Service: Everyone was friendly and felt like a neighborhood spot for locals to buyWagyu fat fried fries $11 (9/10): This is the first time I had fries fried in lard just like the old days, it was delicious. I haven't had anything like these before, the crisp lasts for a long time. It does have a meaty taste to it. The kewpie added on top with shisho powder gave the fries a rich flavor, wasn't able to eat too much with it due to being so rich. It's enough to feed 3 people and comes in large portionsIf I had the money, I would splurge to get those beautifully marbled cuts. What's cool is that they sell A5 wagyu fat ($5) and butcher's butter ($12) at an affordable price. Will come back here again to try their famous burgers!

I have been here a few times now - each to get something different. The workers were so kind and helpful when we had questions. We tried their wagyu, New York steak, wagyu butter, and their famous chocolate chip cookie. Their cookie was huge and amazing. It was super gooey chocolate and the sweetness and saltiness balance was perfect. Their meat is high quality and make sure to ask them how to cook it properly because they'll give you tips and tricks.
