My brother told me about this taqueria in his neighborhood and I have it a try. I had the Super Burrito with Carne Asada and it was delicious and very filling. I like the bonus of the fresh chips and the "buffet " of salsa to select from. The service was good. I'll definitely be back :)

Chicken was juicy and generous in the 3 flautas I received. Freshly made. Happened to be drenched in a smokey mild flavored red sauce. Didn't care for the unmelted cheese..rice was good as was the well seasoned refried beans. Salsa bar was nice. They had pickled habanero onions which were good and not too spicy. Service was fast and friendly. Ambiance was very casual with many takeout/doordash orders. My wife's Al pastor super burrito was pretty "wet" inside and started leaking as soon as she started eating. Had to resort to a fork and knife pretty quickly to finish it. Flavor was alright nothing that stood out as stellar. Solid spot for this area of Sunset District!

Appreciate a taqueria in the sunset, but my experience was just average. My husband and I wanted to try it out so I ordered a carne asada super burrito and he ordered a lengua super burrito + a taco with all the works. We ordered to go and opened it up as soon as we got home and the burritos and taco were cold! The tortilla definitely was not warmed up and the cheese on the taco wasn't melted. I luckily just microwaved it up and ate it hot, but thought it was just average. Liked that it came with chips, but even the chips weren't the classic taqueria chips offered - felt like the Costco chips just put in a smaller bag. Be super careful with the hot sauces - they actually pack some crazy heat!

Saw a couple people inside and didn't seem busy, so I decided to go in and order a burrito. Unfortunately they were prioritizing phone orders even tho I was the only one waiting in the store. I ended up waiting half an hour

I recently visited this new restaurant after seeing its rave reviews on Yelp. The place is cozy with just five tables. I ordered a variety of items: regular tacos, crispy tacos, and a horchata. The restaurant was bustling with both phone and in-person orders. After waiting for about 20 minutes, I noticed that others who ordered after me were already getting their food. It turned out that opting for no receipt was a mistake, as my order was either lost or given to someone else. When I reordered, I received my food 10 minutes later, but one taco was missing. I had to go back, and they quickly made the missing taco, though an apology would have been nice.**Horchata: 6/10** The horchata was okay but tasted somewhat artificial and watered-down.**Crispy Tacos:** - **Carnitas: 3/10** The carnitas were extremely dry and hard.- **Al Pastor: 6/10** The al pastor was decent, and I appreciated that the tortilla was actually crispy.**Regular Tacos: 7/10** I tried a regular taco with lengua, which was good but had rather large chunks.Overall, the food had its moments, but the service issues left something to be desired.

Finally, a good authentic Mexican spot in Sunset!I will miss the old spot, A Desi Cafe, but this replacement is good so far. One thing missing from Sunset has always been a good Mexican/burrito spot. El Burrito Express, Gordo, and Chipotle are all terrible and I usually stick to getting mine from the mission. Underdogs is good for tacos, but I wouldn't state it as an authentic Mexican, more like an American/California Mexican. Taqueria Chapala has hit the spot. Had the lengua super burrito. Yes, they have lengua!!! And it's delicious. Only thing missing is cabeza. Maybe one day? Salsa bar is decent. At least they have it and lets you grab your own. Pico de gallo is decent, and others are not bad. Not amazing, but it's good enough. I would come back again to try their fried Tilapia, tacos, and quesadillas. Such a large menu, I feel the need to test out more.

I'm so happy there is a new taqueria in this neighborhood! Definitely adds to our rotating eating out options. We came a couple of days after they first opened. There was a line and as we ate, more people were coming in. The menu is pretty standard and the food is also pretty standard. Pretty good for Sunset, but I imagine it's middle of the road compared to the taquerias in the Mission.I got the lengua super burrito and hubby got chorizo, both with refried beans. The burritos are HUGE. Flavor was pretty good. There's a salsa bar with 4 salsa options. There are quite a few tables around the small dining space.

We saw that this restaurant was going to open today so we gave it a try. Food: We ordered the Super Burrito with Carne Asada. It was good. In the burrito was sour cream, pinto beans, guacamole, and cheese.. They had self serve salsa and came with free chips. We ordered to go.Service: The cashier was friendly and also a woman greeted us and gave us a menu to look at.The prices were not too high and you get a good amount of food.Ambiance: The place had a good feel with bright walls and seating for dine in.I would come back to try new things and order the super Burrito again.

The food was excellent. I got the shrimp super burrito and horchata and it was great! They have a green sauce and red sauce, and the red sauce packs a punch! Go for green if you want something milder. The chips they gave were great and freshly made. It didn't feel like they skimped out too much on the shrimp, but it felt like they could have added more. The burrito was wetter than I anticipated, so definitely account for that with napkins! They have some seats inside, but the overall place is what I expected from a random taqueria seemingly far and away from other restaurants.
