Straightforward service, decent prices, healthy selection. What more can you ask for from a dim sum spot? Got a half peking duck for $23 -- not bad. That + an assortment of side dishes equaled a hefty meal for around $60. No complaints here, solid dim sum all around.

Some old coworkers always like to take me to different Chinese restaurants and it's very helpful when they do come because they always know what to order. I have always seen this place when I'm driving through Millbrae and during weekends I would see lines out the door, so I figured this must be a good place to eat. There were only 3 of us and yes we definitely ordered a lot! We for sure had . Their Roasted Crispy Duck was tasty and I don't really eat much duck because of the after taste. But this one surely didn't have it. We ordered basic dim sum xlb, shuimai, and pork buns. Their rolled noodles were good. It's a pretty big place, it has an upstairs. Not sure why people give 3 stars as their food and service weren't bad at all.

Tai Wu is a restaurant drowned with negative reviews, but they are under changed ownership so I was willing to give them another shot. Well...it's more or less the same. Parking is usually a pain in the past, but at least there is a parking lot nearby now dedicated to Tai Wu now. It was overall an even more bizzarre experience when I came for dinner and I walked in and the entire first floor was closed and empty. It was like a ghost town, but we noticed people were dining upstairs. Strange, but we already committed to going here so we walked up the stairs with the neon red lights onto the second floor where they were serving a small amount of customers in this small cramped area. Then the 3rd floor were people having karaoke, but it was so loud you can hear it while at the 2nd floor which is...not pleasant. It was just odd, but we were seated and made our order.Service wasn't the best and you had to constantly flag them down to get their attention. The only item I enjoyed was the roast duck and it had a crispy skin and the duck itself was moist and flavorful. Everything else we had just was not good quality or fresh. The Cauliflower and Fish Cake wasn't great because the fisk cake itself was filled with bones inside. I never had fish cakes that had fish bones still inside and I was not expecting that. We also got a dish that had scallops and the scallops tasted fishy and not fresh at all.Overall a yikes from me with Tai Wu still being place that it always was despite some changes. I always feel bad writing bad reviews for restaurants that are just trying to make a living, but I was just dissappointed by the lack of care when coming here.

We were invited by family member to have dim sum lunch here on X'mas day, first time for hubby and I. Our concern of long wait and parking difficulty was unnecessary, we were seated promptly, the extended parking lot a block away was quite convenient and an easy walk. For a party of 8, we ordered a lot; didn't wait long and food started to arrive. From shrimp dumplings, siu mai, XLB, turnip cake, chive dumplings, chicken feet, beef balls, several kinds of rice rolls, baked buns & etc to pan fried noodles and vermicelli from the separate menu; our table was overflowing... the waitress delivering the food even commented how much we had ordered. Some of the dishes were better than the others, in general most were on par. I enjoyed the chewy texture of the rice noodle, kids loved the baked BBQ pork buns, the bitter melon rice roll was super bitter and dry shrimps in the vermicelli was a bit too strong. Two of the items we didn't order showed up, a pork sparerib rice roll ($10.95) and a home style fried vermicelli $10.95 (in addition to the one we did order from dinner menu @ $16.95). I was bothered not so much for the added charge but more about the potential cause. We had a lot of leftover to take home, overall the food and service were decent. Will double check the order sheet if we were to revisit.

This restaurant charges 18% and writes in after i gave them the card. Then asked me to just sign. Rushes me to sign. This is how they take advantage of people who don't look closely at the bill. Where does it say i must pay 18% for over $100.00. Plus, they add the tips on top of the total including tax which is not correct. Trying to rush me to sign. I said no. Ofc not. For that, and the manager arguing with me, I should have only tipped 10%. Ugh. Why push me to sign. Just leave it on the table so i and my friends can comfortably finish our meal!!!

Dim Sum has been a go to for all celebrations. My family is critical as we are use to the best. I usually drive to San Francisco by 8:00 am and get take out at Wing Lee on Clement. However, January 25 was a chaotic day so I need to get Dim Sum locally. I ended up at Tai Wu and was overwhelmed at the quality of EVERYTHING we ordered. My 3 favorites were Woodear Dumpling, the Chicken Feet and the steamed Tofu Skin. This will now be my go to spot.

Great price for dim sum but quality of food seems fair. Nothing to standout. And it was funny that people are singing crazy pound during lunch time. The manager Tony is extremely polite and I will definitely return!

The dishes ordered were pretty tasty! And the portion sizes were generous! The 3 star rating people gave is a low ball to be honest. The ambiance may be a little old and run down on the inside, but the quality of food is sooo good! My fave was the spicy shrimp and honey walnut shrimp!!

Perplexed by the low-star reviews; commendable dedication on Christmas Day deserves acknowledgment. The Dim Sum offerings at Tai Wu rival those of more high-end establishments like Dragon Beaux and their affiliated tea house. Noteworthy value for delivery; I intend to revisit. Crucially, the service, extending from the host/manager to the servers, was impeccable. The culinary execution was outstanding--each dish delivered hot, fresh, and in substantial portions. The $20 investment in the expansive fried rice attests to the establishment's favorable cost-effectiveness.
