Tabita’s Cafe

This cozy cafe is tucked in the heart of the sunset. Especially on a street like taraval that is packed with Asian restaurants and cafes, Tabitas cafe is a refreshing cafe for the palette- latin cuisine. I've come here for brunch- breakfast burrito and a mocha, and abuelitas hot chocolate. They also cater! I hosted a house warming and they were able to make a boatload of empanadas that were a big hit! The beef empanadas are a must try!! If you're craving something outside of Asian cuisine, please give this cafe a try. It's nice to know that this place is exists in the sunset.

Tabita's cafe is a gem on Taraval street! The owners are the absolute sweetest! Not only that, but their coffee & food is delicious as well which makes it even better! My go to is usually a beef empanada with an iced brown sugar latte & it never disappoints.It's such a cute cozy cafe to get work done or take a break from work for a quick 15 minutes. Would highly recommend!!

The Chilean empanadas are AMAZING! And Romania is always so nice and sweet! I swear I would come back every day 10/10

Oh Tabita! What magic did you create? One minute you are turning your classmate into a butterfly, the next you are making yummy empanadas?The empanadas are so delicious here! The chicken empanada is good, but the beef empanada is our favorite. Great atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly service.

I absolutely love this place. The owner is such a lovely person and is super friendly, I always enjoyed chatting with her while I was here. The empanadas (not pictured) are a MUST! They taste so yummy. If you're looking for a bite to eat and are in the mood for something savory this is the exact place to come to. The overall vibes of this place is so peaceful and relaxing. Just being able to people watch, enjoy a quick convo with the owner and eat yummy food.

Romania the owner is so passionate about her food. I had an empanada and a burrito. Both were excellent and the prices are perfect. I'll be back as often as I can! What a neighborhood gem.

Caveat - This review is for the chai latte only. I ran out of tea and needed my morning caffeine, so I decided to check out this cute family-run café. I'm more of a tea than coffee person, and few places use ceremonial grade matcha, which typically leaves me with only one tea latte option: chai. I ordered my typical hot chai latte with oat milk, and the lady running the counter was very nice, but she almost messed up my order twice, first inputting whole milk instead of oat milk, then matcha instead of chai. Fortunately, I could read what she input on the external screen and corrected her mistakes. I waited only a few minutes before my chai latte was ready, and as I was sipping it on my way out, I noticed it had a strange sour aftertaste which didn't improve throughout the remainder of the drink. It also tasted watery, not creamy, which indicated they used a low quality oat milk. Overall, I wasn't super impressed by this place. They somehow messed up my chai latte and almost made me the entirely wrong drink if I didn't correct them.

Happened to stop by this cute spot on the corner. The photos on the window caught my attention and I stopped in to see what their offerings were.The hubby is a big fan of chiccarones and carnitas so I ordered a 1/2lb assortment for him to sample. Everything was cooked to order and super fresh and hot!Our order came with the options of tortillas and a green sauce. The husband devoured the box and said it was good. I definitely want to go back and try their other offerings. Stop on by to support this lovely family business. They are so welcoming and just the sweetest!

Love the soy latte& breakfast all day burrito with bacon, old school & tasty good. A decent Sunset neighborhood cafe. Take the L train also... love the aura
