I ordered from their food truck a couple days ago during the Bhangra Night Market event. The person taking my order provided excellent customer service and was patient with me while I ordered. Really delicious food too! The falafel was so good and I loved the hummus as well. Highly recommend.

3.5 starsI always knew Sunrise Deli as the lone Middle Eastern deli on Irving Street, surrounded left and right by Asian grocery stores, boba shops, and restaurants. But they've expanded now to multiple locations and a food truck too. The Lamb Shawarma came with strips of marinated lamb & beef, along with lettuce, tomatoes, pickled cabbage, onions, and a light, smooth tahini-forward hummus to go along with the thin pita bread. But in my opinion, the thing to come for is the falafel, which were nicely seasoned, earthy, and crisp (though a bit on the oily side). The Avocado Falafel was a Californian-inspired combination that came with falafel, hummus, lettuce, tomatoes, pickled cabbage, and slices of avocado, which had a surprisingly pleasant creamy consistency to contrast the earthy falafel.

I like the combination of different flavors together, the savory meat, sour vegetables, and dredging onions mix together very well. Just the wrap is not too well cooked, and it felt like a quick prepped food making. I will personally not order again.

Tried a lamb shawarma wrap at the outer sunset farmers market. For size and overall taste, not worth the price. Would skip this one

Eaten at Irving St location dozens of times. I love it - especially the creamy, runny tehini sauce. Also eaten at (fka) Berkeley location twice; wasn't as good.Off the Grid: long line, moved reasonably quickly. My falafel was delicious, but really small. AND, I ordered the Super and don't recall seeing any egg plant or potatoes. We took food somewhere else to eat it, and I was business associates so I let it go. Worst thing though - they don't stock the tehini I adore in the truck.

As my coworkers and I all got our wraps, we each said "This is disapointing."After my workers and I all ate our wraps, we each said "That was disappointing."One of the many trucks located outside the Transbay Terminal, we noticed Senor Sisig already had a crazy line, the Mexican trucks would have knocked us out, and Sunrise Deli seemed pretty easy to get in and out of. When I checked Yelp I saw the main restaurant only had 3 stars so I was a bit hesitant. But at that point all the lines were crazy so had to stick it out. Two of us got Super Falafel and the other got the Avocado Falafel. Cost over $11 and what we each got was a thin looking wrap and our statements are above.I will say the falafel is very good. Fried well, moist on the inside. But the wrap itself was just meh. All three of us were left dissatisfied and started scrounging around the office for something to fill our flavor needs. If they catered, I'd be willing to try it again. But I don't think I'll hit up this truck in the future.

Tried their food at Oakland first Friday. Compared to other vendors not as busy but they were one of the few vegan options. That got them the two stars. Tried the avocado falafel sandwich. Did not find the avocado, what's up with that. More pita bread than ingredients. Tasted okay for what I did get. I will have to find another option next first Friday and no reason to try and find their San Francisco location

Sunrise Deli truck had a limited menu: falafel, shawarmas, and sidestime was between 11 and 12. no one in line. locale: soma streeteats(7/16)eats: lamb shawarma wrap(8)-lamb dry, chewy, chucky, just lukewarm, not hot(was this leftovers from day before or cooked earlier in the morning and not reheated?)-got order within minutes-didn't post to store listing since i doubt this problem would occur in the store.-serving size small. if lamb really fresh & tasty, wouldn't matter.-serving has the usual veggies and sauce.foodnotes:-eri trea's grill broke down or i wouldn't be here...-fast, smiling service.-separate listing to highlight mobile truck shortcomings.
