Sun valley is not the best grocery store but they are GREAT if you need something in a pinch when you live close by. Sure they are overpriced and dont really carry any speciality items to justify it, but they keep the store stocked with a little bit of everything. So if you forget that one thing you need for dinner from another store and are close by, definately pop in and chances are they will have it... for a price.Thier breakfast sausage from thier meat counter is also really tasty. I am not crazy about thier deli sandwiches though, you can find a better one somewhere else for the same price.

The staff here are friendly and they offer a variety of healthy food options, as well as operating as a standard grocery store. They are located just at the edge of Linda Mar and the adjacent Back of the valley neighborhood. This area is very secluded as far as being away from the main shopping centers of Manor or Linda Mar, and this place as a result remains relatively peaceful and not ever too busy to shop. I have been told they have awesome sandwiches which is something I'm going to have to try next time i'm in the old neighborhood!

My long overdue update is here...still 5 stars, owner is still the best and I can always count on them for my necessities. I have to say, customer service at check out has been much better!!! One girl is sweet enough to check the freshness of my woods which I totally appreciate! Thankful for my little high priced market.

First of all, I really like this market. They carry some items no other markets in Pacifica do, such as rosewater and other middle eastern items. The Santa Maria bbq chicken is delicious!The only problem with this store is the incredible rudeness of the owner, Ibrahim! He has been consistently rude to both me and my husband for as long as the store has been open. Today was the final straw for my husband. Ibrahim gave my husband a disgusted look, and then proceeded to have a friendly conversation with someone he knew farther back in the line. He has done this to both of us over the years. We have never been anything but pleasant to him.It's a pity, because all of the rest of the family are very nice, as well as other employees.From now on, will only rarely frequent the market, and walk out if only Ibrahim is on the checkout line.

I absolutely love this market! Perfect convenience store, has a whole deli section where you can buy a hot dinner if you don't feel like cooking, and they have a great array of drinks whether it's soft drinks or alcoholic. My daughter loves the little toys in there which are very well priced for a convenience store. The staff are always friendly and welcoming with a smile on their faces and they always take their time to greet me while I'm shopping. Best customer service, best selection of foods, drinks, and amenities. All in all it's a lovely market to have near me within walking distance. Plus it's next to the library! Love it

I am so grateful that this market exists here in the Linda Mar neighborhood of Pacifica! The owners and staff are unfailingly helpful and kind, and it is such a welcome relief from shopping at a big chain store like Safeway! The hot food service area near the entrance has excellent quality and and at a very good price, with different choices on different days. Yes, not having the buying power of a big chain means that for some items they must charge more than a "Safeway", but for me, the goodness of the staff and the accessibility and convenience is well worth it! It is much more satisfying to support a family business than heartless, corporate behemoths. For a store of their size, the cheese, beer, and other alcohol choices, plus their meat department are excellent.

I come here weekly for small things, the butchers counter is always great and has what I need. Just a short walk from my house so it's super convenient!

Great selection, for a small store, and super friendly staff. I always find what I need. Yesterday I tried their roasted chicken - WOW!

Friendly staff, they have everything you could want item wise but when I have to wait several minutes before they ring me up because nobody's at the register I'm not happy. Or when there's more than three people in line but they only have one checker working and they're taking their sweetass time chatting instead of helping the next customer. It's extremely frustrating, especially when I'm in a rush!!!
