Parking was very confusing at first. It was a pretty dead night or maybe we were there early for dinner. As soon as we walked in, we just went to a table and seated ourselves. But the waitress did check up on us frequently to ensure we were doing alright and she was very pleasant. Helped us with getting extra bowls for the kiddos. I ordered the unagi bowls and it was good. I'm not a fan of crunchy rice because it gets stuck in my teeth but it was still good nonetheless. My sister got the soup and to my surprise it was delicious. And that comes from someone who does not like soup at all. The broth had really good flavor. The atmosphere was very calm and chill. Tons of games to play and it looks like a cool place to come with your friends and just geek out on board games.

Social Eatery food hall is a gem located in Millbrae offering a variety of Chinese cuisine all in one easy-to-reach location. Social Eatery has a parking lot for patrons, which makes dining in easy. Upon entering the food hall, patrons will be guided to a table, and provided with a tablet on which they can place their orders from a variety of establishments contained within Social Eatery. After the order is placed, a staff member will bring the food and beverages straight to your table! When it's time to check out, you can either do so via their app/online or request a staff member to come and help you close out your bill. Social Eatery has the following 3 restaurants within: (1) Noodleosophy - a local Bay Area chain focusing on hand-pulled noodle dishes; (2) Rice Monster - specializing in Catonese claypot rice; and (3) Grapeholic - a tea shop with grape-centered drinks to round it out. We came here on a Saturday afternoon looking for a one-stop shop for our weekend lunch and decided to try something from each one of the establishments - after all, isn't that the beauty of food halls? We got the beef tendon noodle soup and prok and shrimp dumplings from Noodleosophy, the cha siu and steamed egg claypot rice from Rice Monster, and finished up our meal with two drinks from Grapeholic - cotton candy grape slush, and grape and lemon tea. (1) Noodleosophy - the beef tendon noodle soup was rich and flavorful, while the accompanying noodles were perfectly cooked and chewy - providing a great mouth feel to the dish. The dumplings were delicious as well, and were a nice addition to the meal as a whole.(2) Rice Monster - the cha siu and steamed egg clay pot rice was in a single word - satisfying. The salty-slightly-sweet cha siu paired well with the mild flavors of the egg, and the salty soy sauce you pour over the rice. I will say the rice could have been a little more scorched to provide the accompanying crunch that you expect from this dish; however, if you're really craving claypot rice and are in the area, then Rice Monster will definitely help satisfy that craving for you.(3) Grapeholic - the cotton candy grape slush was amazing - true to it's name it captured the cotton candy grape flavor in a delicious slush form that was both sweet and refreshing. The grape and lemon tea was also good; however, the lemon flavor was a bit overpowering and made it difficult to truly enjoy the grape that was in the drink. If you want grape to be the star of the show, then I'd recommend getting one of their grape-centered drinks instead. If you're ever in the Millbrae area and are looking for a great lunch spot, then Social Eatery has to be the next place on your list!

Interesting food court of sorts. They house Noodleosophy, Rice Monster and Grapeholic; without the speed of a food court. You have to wait for a table before you can order, which can definitely take a while since the space is quite small. Then you order from a tablet once you're seated. Everything is on one menu, so it's not a clear distinction which of the places you're even ordering from.We had the Unagi bowl (advertised as taking 18 minutes), which is pretty standard, but I liked that it came in a clay pot so you can scrape off all the crispy rice. Beef noodle soup we had was pretty good. Choice of ramen or rice noodles-- the ramen noodles we chose were pretty thick, definitely more like udon noodles, so I didn't care for that much, but did enjoy all the crispies floating in the flavorful soup (I assume crispy shallots/garlic type things). There's also a completely vegetarian soup option which is nice, and you can always add on more vegetables/meats to your soup as well. Shrimp and pork dumplings were average- this was the one I wasn't sure which restaurant it was technically from, I assume Noodleosophy- they were soft and tender, but the dish was small. Parking is very limited street parking mostly. Not on, but walkable to DT Millbrae (10 minute walk)

I'm never much of a Taiwanese beef noodle person but this beef noodle is on the mellow side. The broth didn't taste like it was cook long enough or lack of ingredients. Didn't have that Taiwanese noodle flavor and aroma. The wonton, not the best but descent.

Combining Rice Monster, Noodleosophy, and Grapaholic, Social Eatery boasts noodles, rice, and boba/slushes all in a single eating area. Lots of room to sit though service can be chaotic. Order via the QR codes at each table, and you can order individually or by table (combined menu for the 3 establishments).I got the beef ramen and crushed cucumbers from Noodleosophy. Being in a large party. I excused the long wait time. The ramen noodle bowl was quite affordable, even with the extra pickled veggies and broccoli I ordered. And the crushed cucumbers were also large enough to share with half a dozen of my party as well. Our party was able to share other entrees from Rice Monster as well, so while the entire eating experience was pandemonium of passing plates and sharing bowls, it was welcomed.I love the variety and idea of Social Eatery. As its name suggests, it's a place to share food with others, and as someone who loves catch-ups over a communal meal, I thought it fit my vibe perfectly.

This was such a great find! We were spending the night near the airport to catch an early morning flight. My husband was resigned to finding cheap fast food but I was sure we could do better. I popped open my trusty Yelp app and it led me to Social Eatery. From the moment you drive up it is warm and inviting. Parking was easy and we saw families walking in, which is always a good sign. Inside it was bright and cheerful with a bright red dragon weaving across the ceiling. There was a happy buzz from the many people there enjoying dinner but it was not so loud that it was difficult to talk. There are three vendors to choose from, Grapeholic (tea), Rice Monster (Cantonese rice bowls), and the one we chose, Noodleosophy. We both enjoyed delicious, filling, noodle dishes. A perfect meal for a good rest before a long flight home.

Duplicate review, see Grapeholic.3 businesses in one with one owner. Grapeholic, Noodle Osophy, Rice Monster.Going to an event tonight but got here an hour early. So we came to this place to hang out and relax before the event.Quality/Quantity - Coconut Mango Latte - My coffee. This was good, but way too fancy for me. Oh, my daughter wrote in the comments section on the kiosk when ordering to add boba and they did!! The manager mentioned to her that this is not a normal/standard thing, but they still honored it. And he did not even charge us, thank you.Grape & Tea Jelly - Added boba for 65¢ more. My daughter liked her drink.Taro & Milk - Our guest enjoyed her drink.Crispy Chicken Nuggets - It was temperature hot as it came fresh out of the fryer. Free fruit, see pictures. We did not take it.Catering and pop-up events are also available, see website.Atmosphere - Cool, young, and hip vibe atmosphere; I fit right in, lol. Cool decor from the exterior to the interior, see pictures. Indoor or outdoor seating.Complimentary games available, my daughter chose two to play (not at the same time).Small parking lot, but not an issue for us.Open 7 days a week from 11am to 8pm or 8:30pm.Service - This is how a business should be run!The manager greeted us as we entered and asked if we would dine-in or take-out.We shared that we just wanted drinks, so he directed us to the self service kiosk. Then my daughter and I ordered. Our guest, after seeing our drinks, wanted one also. But she struggled with the kiosk, and the manager saw this and came out to help her. What great service! My daughter then saw that if we posted on social media, we would get a complimentary crispy chicken nugget (or butterfly shrimp). Well, I was already posting my pictures on Yelp and the manager honored it. Again, great service.Complimentary self-service water.Loyalty program available, see picture or website.Price - $22 for 3 drinks. Not expensive in my book for what we got.Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since April of 2022! Noodle Osophy has 3 locations.

Social Eatery--it's a great place to catch up with friends, family, and the community.I rate the cleanliness 3 out of 5 and the food 4.5 out of 5. The restaurant has a bit of a sticky feeling inside, so I think they should clean the surfaces more frequently. I really enjoyed my curry ramen, especially after adding on tofu and an egg; my bowl was incredibly flavorful. The portions are generous--one bowl could easily feed two people if you're only mildly to moderately hungry. There were three of us, and we all ended up with leftovers, which felt a bit excessive.I tried their grape drink with cheese crema, which was a unique combination that I hadn't encountered before. While it was fun to try, I wouldn't consider it the best option.

I like the variety of foods this place offers. It has a little bit of everything that I like- rice, noodles, and boba. I got the sliced beef and pickled veggies rice noodles, clay pot rice with chicken and pork ribs (+ Chinese sausage), and pure grape drink. Everything was solid. The price point is a little pricey at $17 per dish for the quality but it's still pretty good. The clay pot rice was lacking the crispy rice exterior. But considering the service was fast and you get different variety in one place, it's a good spot for people to try different things in one place.

Social Eatery in person is definitely a lot better than to-go. We opted for the meal for two which allows for two appetizers, two entrees, two drinks, and two fruit for $56. For apps, we went with the classic crushed cucumbers ($6.99) and the curry fish balls ($5.99). For such a warm night, the crushed cucumbers really hit the spot. These are really just marinated with chili oil though and I definitely prefer the ones that include ample minced garlic. The curry fish balls were interesting because it wasn't in the traditional yellow curry. It featured more of a laksa-esque flavor. The curry could have been a tad thicker just to coat the fish balls better but it was also nice drinking the broth after too!For entrees, we tried the chicken and mushroom clay pot and the beef and tendon noodle soup ($16.99 each). The clay pot was really tasty. The chicken was marinated almost like that of chicken bao. I also really enjoyed the light ginger undertones throughout. The clay pot rice itself could have been a tad more crispy and I thought the soy could have been a little more salty but generally it was good. A shake of white pepper also really would have hit the spot. As for the noodle soup, it was chocked full of beef and tendon bites. I really enjoyed the thin noodles in this dish specifically! For drinks, I got the standard grapeholic ($7.25) and bf got the fruit tea ($6.75). Both were very refreshing. For dessert, it was fruit...and you just grab it from the basket lol. It's a bit odd if you ask me haha. If we exclude the price of the fruits, we already got a good value (10% off) at $56 vs $61 a la carte.
