Silver Spur

I visited one day...the post says 2021 near the Walgreen's on Irving...I found out about the AMI jukebox app...decided to go to Silver Spur to use the app and the pool table...it's $1.50(6 quarters)...but the priority is the new AMI app...I thought it would be a good backdrop for my favorite songs to play...UK classic rock and Los Angeles Hollywood style from the 1970s..they seem a bit disturbed..friendly or disturbed...it's a small old bar on Irving near the Chinese cafes and groceries..different people and bartender...it's called "Shock Rock" so you might ask AMI why I keep popping in and not buying beer for $10 in SF...and want to restart my billiards table practice...because I moved with my parents and RIP! HAHAHAHAH LAUGH

This place has been around forever and is a fun place to have some drinks. Parking is a nightmare but the buses run close to it so it shouldn't be a problem getting here.

Open early for your boozing pleasure. Nettie will take care of you in the mornings. Two doors for a hasty retreat if Wifey shows up...

Come here if you like a cheap Midori Sour!I'm all about value and this is the bar to go to if you're in the neighborhood. They also have a backside parking lot which is nice.Vibes here are great, and as such I highly recommend respectfully!

This place is very divey. Really only locals in attendance. Only bar seating. There's a pool table in the back. They don't serve food but you can order food to the bar and enjoy it there. Amelia and Megan are thee best bartenders and the only reason I continue to go.

After dinner, we were looking for a bar. Walked by Silver Spur on the way to the car and decided to check it out. My group of four stopped by on Wednesday, January 2nd around 8:30pm.I believe we got two jamesons and two wines. One red and maybe one rose? The pours were good (at least for the whiskey) and our total ended up being $28.25 with tax, but not including tip. Not bad for 4 drinks.This is definitely a dive like bar. Dark, a little dirty, but the bartender was fun and so were the patrons. One had a really sweet dog. The four of us had a good time for the hour or so we were here. We were able to talk and just shoot the sh!t. Also, they gave us peanuts in case you need a little snack.Not a bad spot for one round.

Common dive bar that is never crowded the times I've been there. Good when want to chill and get drinks served quickly, or play pool. The drinks are cheaper than at many bars, including cocktails and wines - quite a value considering this is in SF.Close to 19th Ave so it's easy to get to, and it opens at 6AM in case ever pulling an all-nighter bender and wanted to continue drinking. I cannot confirm or deny ever doing that.Note, did not get the bartender's name but she was not rude to us - may or may not be the same person as in the other reviews.

Pretty cool atmosphere. Drinks are fairly priced. The staff is nice. I love getting out to that area. I shall return.

Can't go wrong ordering drinks at this dive! The bartenders might be gruff but the clientele makes it worth staying. Low light 70's paneling lines the wall with premium seating in front of three big screens, a small pool table and internet jukebox are entertaining. And you might get yourself involved in a friendly dice game. A true melting pot of customers. Great place to drink, day or night!

Creepy patrons and lazy bar staff. Watched two women get harassed for an hour before they up and left when the man wouldn't leave them alone. Heard the phrase "this is a boys bar" a few too many times, don't recommend.
