I love coming here to grab a dozen donut holes for $3. They taste pretty good and aren't dense. These are perfect for sharing or just eating by yourself.

Dang can you tell I'm a big fan of donuts?? I feel like I review a ton of donut spots all over the city, but it's because it's a quick and delicious snack or meal (depending on your mood) that you can try. Silver Cafe is a staple on the corner of Mission and Silver! It's always open early and their donuts are always fresh. Their staff are so nice! If you want a legit and affordable donut and quick, stop on by, they'll serve you one quick and easy!

I like the people that work here because they are really nice but I LOVE THE DONUTS ! Man I just ordered a dozen to take home and ate three on the way home and they were so good I offered them to people on the way home . Today was great , this place is great , I'll definitely be back . I'm so glad it's right down the street .

I am always amazed how little places like this can bring so much joy to people. I was a little hesitant to try Silver Cafe out at first, but with it being the closest food to my job. One very hungry day I took a chance on them. I've heard good things about the food from other co-workers and was willing to try the burger and fries. So I made the call from two burgers and they gave me a eta of ten minutes. I went, I came and the food was decent. I was satisfied, The fries were delish, the ingredients fresh and meat was not dry. Lots of drinks to choose from too. I can say I had a good experience for my first visit at Silver Cafe. The staff was friendly also which is always a plus... P.S they have a atm machine inside

Good breakfast, good burgers and cheesesteaks, qnd the donuts/pastries are fresh. The ladies who run it are very nice as well

I'm new to the neighborhood so I don't know if the cafe recently cleaned itself up or what but I didn't see ant bullet holes or graffiti when I visited. The inside of the shop is clean with plenty of seating and a campus dining hall appearance (only replace the student diners with a diversity of working class types). I love the mix of people that come here, young and old of all ethnicities, because it mirrors ths heart of Excelsior.The cafe is located within 100 feet of 4 bus stops and you can see all 4 of these stops from the cafe window. If you see a bunch of people loitering out front, chances are that they are waiting for a bus. I love grabbing breakfast there. For $7.99 plus tax, you can get 4 sausages, 2 eggs, and 2 huge pancakes. I love their donuts EXCEPT for the apple fritters. Usually, apple fritters are my favorite donut but I find them too oily there. Oddly, their other donuts don't share the same level of greasiness and are, instead, light and fluffy. My favorite is their eggrolls which cost (if I remember correctly) about 75 cents each. Their fried egg sandwich is delish as alot of others had mentioned. The owners are awesome. I accidentally left a car owners manual there once. Inside was an insurance card that referenced my address but not my phone number. The owner actually wrote me a letter, informing me that I left my owners manual at their restaurant. WOW. How awesome was that! Overall, Silver Cafe offers good food at a fair price at a very convenient location. I have visited this place a few times already and am sure to visit many more times.

Definite bang for your buck here! Although this place may appear to be just a "donut" shop...it's actually a bit more than that! First of all the donuts here are giiiiiiiinormous! (The next time I stop in I'm going to take a picture and post it). The woman behind the counter swears to me that they have their own baker and I told her he must be a pretty dam good baker because the french donuts are to die for!!!! So let me back up a decade ago-actually a decade and a half....the owners of this store used to own the coffee shop at Miramar and Ocean and as a young kid I used to go there after church and have my toasted bagel with cream cheese and a thai iced tea. A couple years after they sold the shop and I believe it is called Lucky something?? Well here I am many moons later and they now own Silver Cafe! Well back to the review....1. Ham and Egg sandwich on a croissant is sooooo good! There is a definite homemade touch to it which makes it a keeper!2. Egg rolls are good too--ground chicken I believe!I would give this place 4 stars just for the food that I have tried but because this place also sells lotto, cigarettes, candy, ice cream, yogurt, cup-o-noodles, sodas, a variety of drinks and even pain medication for those afternoon headaches--its kinda like a one stop quik-e-mart without the liquor! There are definitely some regulars that come here and the owners are very nice. So nice that they keep this place open 7 days a week! Amazing!! Oh and they always have fresh coffee. Ah yes, always a plus!!

Believe it or not this place has the best cappuccinos. The pastries and donuts are also delicious They are super nice. Very neighborly. They offered me an umbrella when it was raining.

Food is pretty good but the service is amazing and the lady even gave us an extra donut

I'm pretty sure this is the place my family owns. I just wanna make sure people are okay about this place because if you see kids visit once in a while that's their grand children and yes I am their grandchildren so no worry's, their grandchildren (aka me) are gonna visit again soon.
