I wouldn't come here if you're super hungry, because the portions are tiny. The chicken curry with potato contained two pieces of chicken and potato and the Burmese style deep fried beef had five chunks of beef. Both dishes were relatively bland and were served at room temperature. So it makes me wonder if they were just sitting under a heat lamp all day?!?FYI...$3.00 for a side of rice.

Awesome Burmese food, located in the St Francis Square lot (next to TC Pastry)Lots of variety here, with very reasonable prices. My faves here are: nan gyi thok (rice noodles with lots of toppings + savory side sauce) and sweet onion fritters!I want to try the entire menu!! If you haven't tried Burmese food yet, don't sleep on it! Best Burmese food in the area (yes, I know there are other popular places). ;)

Yay a positive Burmese cuisine experience in Daly City! Let's talk about it! Shwe Yankin is a new Burmese restaurant in daly city located at St. Francis Square. Their food is amazing! Order the Sweet Mango Salad, it's mango salad w/ an asian twist. Fav dish here. For the main course, we decided to go with their famous Burmese chicken potato curry w/ coconut rice.It sound basic, but the spices of the curry and tenderness of the chicken say otherwise. You can have this w.o rice because it has potatoes, but the coconut rice is an excellent choice as a side to pair with it. The fried chick pea tofu is also a must try. It's not tofu, it's chick pea...and the consistency of the appetizer is on point. Not oily, not bland. PerfectAll in all, this place is a great alternative to the regular asian food selections here in daly city. We enjoyed their foods, come check them out.

Small shop with nice workers! We came to celebrate a birthday and they put together a few tables for 10 of us. I really enjoyed the garlic noodles and nan gyi thoke. The tofu and tea leaf salads both had a spicy kick. The Rhankine noodle soup was hearty! The falooda had tons of jelly, ice cream, and rose flavor. They also helped bring out new plates and light the candle for the birthday cake. Bathrooms were very clean! It gets very chilly since the back door was open and it's Daly City, so be sure to bring a jacket!

If one is looking for authentic Burmese food please come and try this place out. If one doesn't know what Burmese food is this place is a one stop shop without having to buy a plane ticket to east Asia . The reason I came in here was to support our local community and the owner as this place just recently opened. After seeing the prices on the menu items I made a quick trip over to sample some dishes as most dishes are under $12 and authentic. Any noodle dish is good cat fish chowder and curry coconut soup. The teA leaf salad rice mix is a childhood favorite of mines The dry beef tho is really what I came in for and one of my staple Burmese dishes. The service is above and beyond . The servers spoke perfect English and gave me good recommendations on some of their special items. For our locals this place used to be the dive bar then turned into a restaurant so when it comes to ambiance its def gets kudos points. The ambiance was so inviting ima eat inn on my next adventure. For reals tho this place is worth checking out before the prices market rate.

My family ordered takeout for our party. We ordered:Tea leaf salad- delicious. Hard to go wrong with this.Tofu salad- my favorite! Not all Burmese stores will sell this so I was excited to see this on the menu.Nan kya thot- delicious noodle salad. Love love Burmese noodle salads!Beef curry- delicious. Burmese dishes tend to be on the oily side, fyi. Deep fried fish in spicy sauce- tons of pepper flakes and seeds but my fam thought it wasn't actually too spicy. I'm a "mild" spice person so i thought it was spicy and I didn't like all the pepper seeds. But my fam liked it.Price: not bad! Cheaper than other places like Burma superstarTaste: delicious and authentic. Portions: not too big but decent. Burmese food isn't known for huge portions and that's how it is in Burma / Myanmar

Absolutely love this place. I was recommended by my Burmese friends. I can tell that this restaurant is family owned. What I ate there, tea leaf salad and mango salad. I liked both items. The mango salad was crunchy and had a little kick of special sauce. I was too full to have any more dishes so I bought some to take home; Roti Praratha with chicken curry, Flat noodles with chicken curry sauce, Spicy shrimp and more of tea leaf salad. I especially like Spicy shrimp. As I was leaving the restaurant, it was almost packed and most customers were Burmese. So I guessed the food was authentic. Price was reasonable. I will be back.

My family is from Burma / Myanmar, and after eating their food, it definitely felt like home to me. Their dishes aren't overly dressed with many ingredients / seasoning like some restaurants trying so hard on flavors. They are pure & authentic as if mom was cooking for you. Plus, the prices are way better than any place I've seen. Portions might not seem a lot, but honestly I appreciate it bc i dont want too much of one thing & it lets us enjoy many dishes. The place also feels small staff like it's run by a family, so be sure to be patient with the service when dining in!

I have just returned home from; I can't even call it a meal! I am shocked that the owners pass this off for the prices they charge. This, without a doubt, is hands-down the absolute worst meal I have had in decades, yes, decades! I'm not even angry; I'm too shocked to be angry. Just looking at the presentation, I knew it would not be too good. The website photos are stages because they don't serve their dishes like that(look at my photos)1. The curry beef didn't even taste like curry because there was no curry it was drowning in old grease with enough chili spice to make even Texas Chili embarrassed.2. The Braised Pork is overcooked to be on par with sheetrock and bathing in the Dead Sea of fat, with no flavor whatsoever.3. The Mango salad...forget about it! This will date me; it truly tasted like they sprinkled the top with Dust-of-Chalk, again, no flavor. This is an abysmal place to think you will be having a meal. The pot of hot waterfront tea had a very strong taste of soap.To add insult to injury, they literally force you to tip, giving you 3 choices 15%, 20%; 25%For this, I was robbed of $45+Be good to your taste buds and your wallet; stay away from this place.
