Tips: 1. Make a reservation in advance 2. Even with a reservation, arrive at the restaurant at least 10 min before they open at 5pm to wait in line with everyone else. (Budget 10 min to find parking, and be prepared to pay with quarters or a physical credit card since Burlingame's parking meters near the restaurant haven't adopted pay with app yet.) 3. When the doors open and the servers start letting people in, tell them you have a reservation and you will get seated. (Those without reservations will still need to wait in a separate line inside the restaurant.) 4. Your clothes will get smelly from all the shabu, and maybe even get stained with sauce drippings if you are a clumsy person like me, so choose your attire carefully The restaurant is actually quite big and the decor is quite modern. The food -- you can do a la carte combos or all-you-can-eat. This time we opted for a la carte and ordered the 2-meat combo plus some appetizers. We chose the pork and wagyu meats. It comes with a tray of thinly sliced meat, as well as a bowl of veggies (spinach, mushrooms, etc.). The wagyu was so tender! The pork was very nice quality too! The fried calamari, and vegetarian and pork gyoza appetizers, were all nicely made. The most impressive were actually the wagyu fries! Think of In-N-Out's Animal Style fries but instead of just cheese, it's good quality fries with good quality cheese, all topped with ground wagyu. This was by far our table's favorite appetizer. If you're not too hungry, the a la carte combo is a good choice for 2 people to share. If you're hungry, order the combo for yourself, or splurge your belly and your wallet on the all-you-can-eat option. Overall an amazing experience. Looking forward to coming back again!

Highly recommend making a reservation on weekends. It was an hour wait for 2 people. The restaurant has a lot of seating for parties of all sizes so that tells you how popular they are. The meat was decent. Nothing out of the ordinary. I do recommend getting the large if you want a little more meat. The regular does leave you a little unsatisfied if you're a bigger eater. They have a premade cilantro garlic tangy sauce that tastes pretty decent. You can also request for a side of sesame sauce. The vegetable bowl was pretty big and comes with noodles as well as a bowl of rice so it's a decent amount of food. They also give you ice cream (lychee, red bean, green tea, and mango sorbet). The ice cream was very icy so it gives it a more sorbet feel.

Glad there is a second location, but parking is still difficult to find. Walked in for a table, the wait on Friday night was around 30-45 min. The host was nice & informative to let us know ahead of time that we may need to share a large table with others or sit at the bar. The servers were not attentive to us. During the whole meal, we were only checked upon once. While the two parties next us was constantly checked upon. Not sure if the servers were assigned to specific areas, because they were everywhere & seemed flustered. Food was good with their popular green sauce. The only complaint was their kamikaze wings. The outside of the wing was flavorful but the inside was bland.

We decided to come here for my husband's birthday. We love the SF location, so we were excited to learned that there was a Burlingham location. The design is similar to sf, but there's definitely more space. We also liked how we could see the chef's cutting the meat in their little station. The staff was super kind and helpful which we appreciated. There's lots of street parking, but can be difficult to find during busy times. We did a reservation through yelp on a Wednesday night at 6, and was happy we did since it was surprisingly busy when we were there. We love getting their fries during happy hour. I love the combo of fries, meat, and sauces plus it is a great texture and taste break when eating hot pot. We love the quality of soup and meat whenever we go to the SF location and this location didn't miss. We were so happy by our meal and to end it off with ice cream was the best treat. We will love getting to come back.

This used to be Shabu Shabu and we loved it here! That is no longer the case. We drove out here to find things have changed a bit. The peanut sauce is gone, and was replaced by a tangy one that did not complement my meal. Sooo soo sad!!!!Something different was also noted with the broth, are they using a different formula??? All ice cream flavors (mango, green tea, lychee, red bean) were available at our time of visit, but all were too hard to serve ... so technically no flavors were available. Though the meat had good marbling, we will need to find a different place. So sad about this place!!!

I've been to the clement location in SF multiple times, however this was my first time at this new shabu club location in Burlingame. The atmosphere was nice. Workers were all quite friendly. I came for a special occasion with 5 other friends. We opted to do the AYCE option which I highly recommend. We chose spicy miso and spicy tonkotsu as our broths. The quality of meat here is on par with the sf location with great marbling. The slices are cut to the perfect size. Not too thin or thick. The beef is extremely tender. The cilantro sauce is absolutely amazing, compliments the meat so well. This location has more flavor of ice cream compared to the SF location. They had sesame, mango, lychee, matcha, and red bean. We also tried their in house yogurt soju and house sake. Both were quite affordable and quite smooth. Good bang for your buck. Overall would recommend both the set menu and ayce options.

PSA: there's a new club in town. $0 cover if you make a reservation in advance, though there may be a little wait when you get there because it's already bustling! It's hot and steamy inside and you will definitely leave with your cravings satisfied and your tummy satiated with high quality marbled meat and umami bomb green sauce! SO glad the OG owners of the SF location decided to take over the old shabu house to open one in Burlingame. It's gonna take a lot of self control to not come here every week! you have the option to do either ayce or their sets. And because it's a new year and trying to be a new me, I opted for their sets (though I most def could've done ayce!) it comes with a plate of meat, rice, and a bowl of noodles and veggies. please see pic below for how marbled the beef looks. So fresh and so marbled that they just melt in your mouth. The Kobe beef fries are really good too. As appetizer. But the main star. Is the green sauce. It is to die for. It ties in all the flavor. And complements EVERYTHING. I could drink that shit all the time. One thing I appreciate about this location is that the tables have built in stove so there's no need for a portable stove. That definitely saves room on the table. And makes the dining experience a lot smoother! And also they have more ice cream flavors. Woo-hoo! I most definitely will be back to do AYCE (and drink) option.

We were absolutely devastated when Shabu House closed, as it's been a Peninsula staple for ages. Fortunately, in its place came a new location for Shabu Club so we can still get our local shabu fix! The interior looks similar, but it looks like they put some effort into modernizing things and adding a bit of a face lift.We went twice during the soft opening and were pleased with everything! The meat was super fresh and tasty, and we love their famous sauce! They were still working out kinks in service, but I think that's to be expected during a soft opening.

Happy to have shabu club closer so I don't have to go to the Richmond. This used to be shabu house. If you ever went to shabu house, it's pretty much the same interior. My friends and I were pretty hungry so we opted for the AYCE option. For the veggies, they gave us a platter to share between two people. Pretty smart so it's less wasteful. The meat was thinly sliced and super tender. The cilantro dipping sauce is the best part. Absolutely dip your meats and veggies in the sauce. You won't regret it. Even though this place just opened, I thought the service was pretty good. They checked in on us frequently and made sure we always had enough meat.
