So happy they are open again for lunch 10-3pm PT on weekdays. Having their yummy chopped salad with deliciously seasoned and crispy fried chicken on top is the highlight of any weekday lunch. Highly recommend adding to your rotation if near Broadway and Columbus.

SF Chickenbox is takeout only, and I ordered through a mobile app. When I arrived around 5 PM, the location wasn't busy--no wait or other patrons. The staff were friendly when I checked in to pick up my order, but I ended up waiting an extra 15 minutes despite the lack of activity.I ordered the Chicken Big Box, which included four pieces of fried chicken, two small sides, and two mochi muffins for over $30. The mochi muffins and the dark meat chicken were delicious, but beyond that, nothing stood out. The portion sizes didn't feel worth the price, and despite being called a "big box," it didn't leave me feeling full.I'd always seen their long lines at the Ferry Building Farmers Market and wondered what the hype was about, which is why I wanted to try them fresh at their main storefront. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations. On my way home, I found myself wishing I'd stopped somewhere else for fried chicken. For $30, I could have had a better experience at Popeyes or even a mid-range fried chicken spot like Ilcha, where the portions, sides, and dining experience feel more satisfying.

I was just walking by and this place caught my eye. I wasn't sure but I was trying to remember if I had bookmarked this place. I was looking at the menu because I happened to be hella hungry and I popped my head inside and smiled at the person standing at the counter (presumably the owner in a green As hat) and said to him the menu looked super Bay Area, particularly the finer details around the mochi muffin and the halal chicken. The guy gave me a look like I was dumb and put his thumb up like "cool story bro." Why try to make me feel small when I'm showing you interest in buying your food? Didn't even give me time to pull out my wallet. Bookmark removed. Heads up everyone, the Raising Canes in Colma is open now.

It was a decent chicken sandwich, the chicken was pretty tough, but I really like the sauce that was on it! I also liked the bread, but I don't know if I would get this again

I stumbled upon this place after having a few drinks at bamboo bar, and I was glad that I did! I ordered the sucio, and a side of potato salad . The chicken sandwich was made perfectly, and it was juicy! It just needed extra sauce, which came at an additional cost of $1.25, for a small container (insert sad broke face) . The potato salad needed a bit more flavor too. The service was really chill, and even offered to let me charge my phone while I was waiting! Over all I would most definitely stop by, and try my sandwich with another side.

The actual review is 3.5 stars. After getting out of a late concert, we were very much starving and looking for something hearty to eat, so this pretty much the bill. This is pretty much a fast food place that does to-go orders since you just order at the counter. No dining in at all, which we were fine with given the area we were in. Also, to the service was pretty good with being able to upgrade and the fast time getting our food.We got the Jumbo Box that came with 8 pieces of Fried Chicken, Pickles, 2 Large Sides, and 2 Mochi Muffins. For the sides, we got Fries and upgraded to Garlic Fries. We also upgraded our Original Mochi Muffins to the Ube and Pandan Mochi Muffins. The Fried Chicken was okay. It was thankfully moist unlike some reviews say, but that was it. It didn't really have a ton of flavor to it. Also, the Chicken Skin weren't crunchy. The Garlic Fries were definitely Garlicky. We thankfully didn't have to search for the flavor like some places make their Garlic Fries and this definitely had a lot of Garlic to our delight. The Garlic Fries also had a nice crunchy texture on the outside while being soft on the inside instead of just being crunchy or soft. This was also unexpectedly a lot of Fries. We thought they would be like a large like at McDonald's, but turns out this even beat McDonald's size since this was in a large box that was larger than the box for the Fried Chicken. Definitely getting your money's worth here in terms of Fries. The Mochi Muffins were nothing special. I liked that were the texture and moistness of Mochi Muffins, but the flavor was missing. We were very much searching for the Ube and Pandan flavor in the Mochi Muffins. They were pretty much just green and purple colored Mochi Muffins. I recommend probably just sticking with the Original Mochi Muffins since the other ones we tried didn't have any flavor.Overall, the Garlic Fries were filled with Garlicky goodness, but the Fried Chicken and flavored Mochi Muffins could use some work.

I eat a lot of chicken sandwiches and this was the worst I've had. We got a Sucio and it was SO dry and bland. I didn't taste any marinade or brine. The chicken wasn't seasoned. It lacked salt and the only slightest bit of flavor came from the sauce. Popeyes and Chick Fil A have better seasoned and juicier chicken which also use breasts. The breading is crispy though, so I'll give them that. However, there's so many other spots in the city that have crispy and juicy chicken. There doesn't need to be a trade off between the two.

Stopped by their booth at the Clement Street Farmer's Market. Luckily we came right as they'd finished making a batch of sandwiches so it was fresh af. Holy moly. This is probably the best fried chicken sandwich in the city. Piping hot and JUICY!!! Yes, it's ~$15 but 1. This is SF and 2. The size of the chicken was huge. I split the sandwich with my fiancé but next time I'm getting one for myself just to savor the flavor.

I gave these guys a 4.7 only because I like my chicks on the bone. It's a personal thing, and nothing against the quality of their offerings. I enjoyed a fried chicken breast today from SFChickenbox at the Embarcadero street market, and it was really delicious! It's not easy to keep white meat from drying out when frying and keep the integrity of flavor. These guys know what they're doing when it comes to serving juicy, tasteful, fried chicken. I certainly recommend them and I'm sure you'll love it!
