We miss the NY bagels but who would have thought we have a NY style bagel shop in the heart of SF!? There is no fine in, you order at the window and there is a wait to get your order ready. In fact there is a line to even order your bagels. Loved the bagel and lox as well as their breakfast sandwich. All 4 in our party really enjoyed their selection but the winner was the hot pastrami/bagel sandwich.

tried coming here before in person... line out the door and sold out online. Doordashed this order so it was a little cold when we got it. im not from ny so i dont have ny standards, but i loved these bagels. so satisfying in the morning. the flavors went so well together my pupils probably dilated. - egg and cheese, everything bagel, add ham and tomato ($16)- herb lemon lox, everything bagel ($17.5)egg and cheese: our bogeda sandwich was packed with ham ($3 add on) and had a great balance with the cheese and soft bagel.herb lemon lox: i yelped omg this is so good when the lemon aioli mixed with the salmon. i'm not a big cilantro fan, but i think it was more parsley, but ended up taking some greens out to focus on the lemon and salmon. would definitely come back. recommend ordering online beforehand or coming early because there will probably be a crowd.

Came here for a bagel around 1pm on a Sunday. They were sold out of smoked ends so I got an everything bagel with scallion schmear, cold smoked sliced salmon, cucumber (+$1) and pickled onion (+$1). There's no place to sit so you just pick up and go; not much to say about the ambiance. When I got home and opened my bagel, there were no cucumbers or pickled red onions... The bagel itself and everything inside was very tasty and felt authentic to me.The worst part of my experience was the service. The lady who took my order (black hair, bangs, glasses) was incredibly dismissive. I don't know if she was having a bad day, but she ignored all the questions I asked and was not helpful or nice at all. If I come back, I'll just order for pick-up and open it there to make sure everything's inside.

The good: gigantic, fat, bagels stuffed to the brim with your choice of meats, veggies or egg. The bad: $17 for a veggie bagel. This is the most expensive bagel I've ever had in my life! I tried it once, it was good but I don't think any bagel is worth that much. I'm remembering the good old days of buying a bagel and cream cheese for $2.50. Times sure have changed!

Absolutely delicious bagels, but not sure how two bagels cost 24 and one was just cream cheese. Cmon, you don't have to be THAT kind of SF food spot.

We have been on the look out for good bagels in SF for a while now and this place hits the spot. We went on a rainy Saturday afternoon just before closing time and got lucky that there was very short wait. We got the egg and cheese sandwich with everything bagel. It was quite cheesy and heavy. Two of us were full with just 1 bagel sandwich. Will definitely try again.

Convenient and quick! Love the salmon lox. Kind of salty though. I thought parking was tough but actually found out there's parking on the right as it is part of the plaza!

Adding a star to my original review because I think Schlok's is actually a solid option (in SF at least) for bagels. They are not the best bagels in San Francisco (I think the warm and fresh ones at The Laundromat probably are) and I liked the flavor of Boichik more when I had them (pre expansion and in Berkeley and it's been a while so no idea if that is still the case). I think what makes Schlok's the spot I order from most though is a few things. One, it's easy to order online and if you want delivery you can do that (would recommend supporting them directly and picking up your order if possible though). They are actually open every day of the week. You can generally avoid standing in line by ordering ahead. And they have a good amount of convenient options for sandwiches if you prefer that. The salmon is great. I want to do a side by side comparison of the 2 types because I never know which to get but both types are really delicious, perfectly sliced, and some of the best definitely in the Bay Area. The schmear is fine. Not my favorite but for the convenience i will take it and I appreciate the variety of options. They also put out nice catering platters - I've had them at work for a few hundred people and always a favorite. My one minor improvement for this specifically would be labeling the cream cheese as it's hard to tell them apart. I also appreciate them always adding new menu items and offering things like a variety of beverage options and now sweets. It's a small shop and so I'm sure doing this adds complexity but it makes it so much more convenient for the customer to get everything at one place. The bagels are overpriced of course if you compare them to non Bay Area bagel shops but i think $3 and relatively small bagels are unfortunately the reality around here (and to be fair I think the Schlok's sizes are bigger than the previously mentioned shops in this review).

Jr Yelper bought some bagel sandwiches to share and extra bagels and cream cheese. I had the lox bagel with cucumber on an everything bagel. The lox was OK but I really enjoyed eating the bagel sandwich and saved half for the next day. We used the lox cream cheese on the bagels another day. It's a base of cream cheese with chopped lox topping the cream cheese. Hope to stop by to pick up some bagels in the future.
