Prepackaged sandwiches and wraps usually kills the integrity of the food, but SMG manages to dodge this. The ingredients are fresh, nothing is soggy and the flavor is not compromised. Bonus points for the neatly wrapped items with a smart and concise label. The best experience I've had to date with a lunch item wrapped in cellophane!

This is a market cafe located inside the Moscone Center. When you're dying for a "wake me upper" after sitting on your butt all day long, for days on end at a conference with only 30 mins. break before your next lecture. This is where you're stuck getting coffee for $2 for a small or the rip off price of $3.50 for a bottle of water. They have several stands and the larger ones will offer unhealthy snacks - donuts, cookies, etc. The pre-made Starbucks coffee are in these hot dispensers and it just do not taste like the cup of Joe you'd buy at a Starbucks store. But, it has to suffice to keep me from nodding off in the afternoon.

I just spent an entire day at Moscone (7:30am-8pm) and ate like a pig the entire time. SMG provided the most excellent fare I have ever encountered before, during and after all sessions. The shrimp and corn chowder (shrimp & corn?!?!) at lunch was dee-licious. The service was about 6 cuts above normal and they even used compostable plates and utensils for light meals and snacks. Rave review.

Ok tasting with only a few breakfast options. This is self-serve location. Relatively expensive prices for food/drinks for sale.
