Ordered from DoorDash. Got Nasi Goreng (with gado gado and tumeric fried egg), and beef kalio. They came out to be at around $50 before taxes and fees.Everything is just ok. Especially given the price, it's not worth it at all.The nasi goreng is just salty with some spiciness to it. There's none of that "Indonesian" flavor. The add-on tumeric fried egg is good, of course. It's fried egg.Gado gado is meh. The peanut sauce is weak, not much flavor.Beef kalio is not great either.I guess my baseline to compare this is from Jayakarta (Indonesian restaurant in Berkeley, closed permanently, unfortunately). Compared to that restaurant, Sambal-sambal is not even close to what Jayakarta used to offer.Let's just say it's definitely not worth $50.Really disappointed that it's hard to find a good Indonesian restaurant now in the SF Bay Area. The only way to eat the good stuff is to go back to Indonesia :(

Sambal-samba has instantly become my new favorite spot to order food from. It's certainly the best Indonesian food I've had outside of Indonesia, and I think it could easily hold its own over there as well.I tried the Beef Rendang, both their Laksas, the Nasi Goreng (it's made with "stinky" beans for a very unique flavor!), the Bebek duck breast and the Lombok chicken leg. Each dish was superb, fresh and genuine, and perfectly spicy.I can't stress enough how good the food is here. When I picked up the food today I got to meet the aunty who cooks these dishes, and I could see how passionate she is about her food.Support her business, you won't be disappointed!

A real hidden gem! Ordered the Bali fried chicken leg, the skin is crispy and the meat is juicy! The topping and the coconut rice are very flavorful as well. Although I'm not familiar with Indonesian food, it is definitely worth trying!

I placed an order on doordash at 6pm thinking that was more than enough time to make a couple of dishes before they closed...so the estimated delivery time kept increasing, i ended up having to wait more than 50 minutes when the original time was only 36...finally when i thought it would be ready i go to check the app and the restaurant just completely cancels the whole order??? so after waiting almost an hour i get no food nor an explanation on what happened. will not be ordering again

WOW. I had never eaten Indonesian food before (& I'm a picky eater). This food is unlike anything I have ever had. The amount of flavor and fresh ingredients make this a true experience to eat. I had the smashed chicken and the Nasi Urap. The Tempeh was amazing and made in house. Just wow!!
