Local SF bakery with amazing and unique sourdough loaves! They sell their bread in farmer's markets and local grocery stores. A lot of restaurants in the city also use their bread in their dishes which is pretty cool. I've tried their ube sourdough loaf so far which I loved! The color was so vibrant and I've never seen such a unique flavor of sour dough before. Ube is a mild flavor, a little sweet and i definitely tasted it in the bread. I got this loaf at the Clement farmer's market. They do sell out so I would go early if you want your pick of the flavors. You can check out their website to see where you can find their bread! Here are a few local stores that have it: Gus's, Andronico's, Mollie Stone's, Bi-Rite and more.

Found them at the Ferry Building farmer's market. What drew me in was a bacon snickerdoodle cookie. But then I also saw their olive, truffle, parmesan, black pepper sourdough which had everything I typically enjoy so I got that too. And I managed to get the last cheddar scallion biscuit as well. I was so excited to chow down on my cookie until I realized that they gave me the coconut snickerdoodle instead. And I hate coconut. I should've checked before leaving, but in the end it was still a pretty tasty cookie with the perfect chew that I'd want in a snickerdoodle. The cheddar biscuit was also delicious and moist. I'm just not impressed by the sourdough. For $16 I could only taste the olives since they were studded in there. I would go back for the cookies and biscuits though.Got the bacon snickerdoodle later at the Saturday farmer's market and didn't expect to like it less than the coconut one. It doesn't really have much of a bacon flavor.

I've been following Rize Up bakery since they started in 2020. I have always wanted to get to the Bay to try their amazing breads, but never got a chance until this Saturday at the farmers market at the Embarcadero on San Francisco. The person assisting us was very helpful.I of course, got a sourdough loaf. I would have loved to try as many things as I could, but when I'm at this farmers market, I try to spread my money to as many vendors as I can. So I kept it simple with a cheese and jalapeño sourdough loaf, a biscuit, and a curry and potato hand pie.The biscuit was 100 layers of deliciousness. It was so good. Just eating it straight, no extra jelly or sauce or anything, just by itself. It was hands-down awesome. The potato and curry hand pie was so amazing. Outside flaky and inside was the perfect balance of flavor. The curry was not overwhelming, just a great flavor. We actually ended up going back to get two more hand pies. They were that good. The sourdough loaf was awesome. I sliced into it and it had the perfect outside crunchiness with the inside that was soft and spotted with cheese and jalapeños. The cheese and jalapeños were just enough to let the sourdough shine bright. I had some in the morning with some avocado and then again in the evening for grilled cheese. Fresh and grilled, both ways were awesome. My son liked it so much, he started sending me recipes that the pair well with this bread.I can't wait to go back and get more delicious items!

Such amazing quality and super creative flavors. The K Pop sourdough is so extremely delicious and multifaceted. The texture is ideal - nice and airy but a good chew and satisfying crust. Their products are all so fresh. I bought an Ube Coconut Cookie freshly baked on a Saturday and didn't get around to trying it until Tuesday night and it was still amazing. The family behind this bakery seems so nice and so extremely proud of what they do. Love supporting a small, local business!

Whenever we are in the city we try to visit Rize Up Bakery. We love the spirit and the message of this business and we love supporting small entrepreneurs. We also appreciate the message of making something so good out of bad situations. The last time we tried to stop in there had been a fire and I felt terrible. But this week we were able to stop in and get a loaf of sourdough. Typically I make a garlic salt butter to melt and dip the bread in but this time we didn't have the seasonings I typically use and I had to eat it just plain bread and butter. I really wanted more salt in the bread itself, and I'm not sure if it's always like that and I've just never noticed because I'm putting my unseasoning on it or if I just got a loaf where they hadn't used enough salt in the recipe. Either way I will definitely need back and continue supporting this business.

I recently visited the Rize Up Bakery stand at the farmers market at the Ferry Building on Tuesday. I've been following them on Instagram and was excited to finally try their famous sourdough. They had a good variety of flavors to choose from, and I decided to go with the K-Pop Gochujang sourdough. The lady at the stand mentioned that it was spicy and that the heat would build up as I continued to eat it. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The sourdough wasn't spicy at all, and I couldn't taste any of the flavors it was supposed to have, like gochujang, roasted garlic, or fresh scallions. It just tasted like regular bread to me. We also got a Thai Tea muffin, hoping for a unique flavor experience, but we couldn't taste any Thai tea flavor in it either. While I'm intrigued by some of their other flavors, I'm hesitant to spend $16 again for a loaf that didn't live up to the hype. I may give them another try in the future, but my first experience wasn't as flavorful as I had hoped.

I shared half my bread w/ Nina, so I finished mine sooner than I normally would. Today when I was at Three Stone Hearth picking up my order I bought another loaf of the OG bread. I like it so much I didn't even look at what other flavors they had. Vicky rang me up and applied the rebate from the 5 jars I had just returned to the cost of the bread, which came to only $4.50 as a result. Quite a bargain! I just finished slicing it, put it in a large freezer bag and put it in the freezer, so I'm set for a while.
